AlGore's Worst Nightmare

We have not only NOT been "warming" recently, but we're entering a period of "global cooling." From 1940 to 1974, the world has been COOLING; From 1975 to 1998, it WAS "warming" slightly. But from 1999 to 2015, the world will be COOLING again. These figures show that AlGore's swindle is just that: a swindle and he's going to have a hard time convincing people the world is "warming" when it is actively COOLING. But he'll try. He'll try and convince you these figures are wrong, and the result of "junk science." He'll argue =with the results of scholarly research by PROVEN scientists, using the results gained from his own "junk scientists," and he will brand anyone who disagrees with his phony "findings" as "global warming deniers." He will keep on preaching the same things he's been preaching for years, notwithstanding the fact that NONE of them have come true, and there is no sign they will. (London Telegraph)

Is This Familiar?

This is an edited version of an e-mail sent me on a List I'm on. It's about a documentary: "The Nazis: A Warning From History." "[T]he footage is remarkable, e.g., Hitler hugging children, taking naps; Nazi carnivals that look like something out of Eyes Wide Shut, Nazi youth camps and hippie-like communes, etc. [T]he interviews with former Nazis is very disturbing -- how people respond to a powerful charismatic leader who can give their life 'meaning' via being part of a collective, losing their identity, having (ahem) hope, etc. One woman interviewed (in the late 1990s) was confronted with a letter she'd sent to the Gestapo about the 'suspicious' activities of a neighbor, who was eventually hauled off and killed. At first she claimed not to remember it, and then pretty much admitted to it! It was something else to see her on camera being confronted with it. Another notable part was on how Hitler ruled. . .according to the documentary, he'd speak in broad terms of what he wanted. The underlings would make the specific policy recommendations and claim that they reflected what Hitler wanted." I THOUGHT what we were hearing from both Obama's and Hillary's camps was strange and alarming. How do we GET such people as SERIOUS candidates for the highest office in the land? These people are serious socialists -- as was Hitler. Take a lesson. (Net Flix)

Life's Not Fair!

Liberals rely on people telling one another, "life's not fair!" But life should NOT be fair. If life were fair, we'd all be broke, including those who are now rich or just "well-to-do." Then from where would come the money to invest in profit-making, jobs-creating projects? You know, the kind of projects that provide jobs and money for ALL of us? Yes, it's "not fair" that some should be rich and others poor. I'd love to be "rich" and be able to enjoy the fruits of riches. But not as an "inheritee." I want to EARN my own "riches." I don't want to be a Teddy Kennedy, to whom money means NOTHING because he's never had to earn a penny. He inherited $750 million from his father, who got it from bootlegging. He's "gone through" half of it with nothing to show for it and has never had a moment when he has had to wonder where his next meal is coming from, or his next dollar. He just "reaches out" and it's there (one of his "flunkies" puts it in his hand). His only decision at dinner time is if he wants to spend $500 or $5,000 for his next meal. Yes, that's "not fair," and whose fault is it? Not mine, and certainly not yours. The liberal view of "fair" is for there to be NO "rich." For ALL to be "poor." And if you don't believe it, look at all their "safety net" programs. None will ever make ANYONE rich (except maybe some of the liberals). They make everybody uniformly poor. Bill Gates is one of the riches people in the nation, and has CREATED more millionaires that you can count. Not to mention all those who are now "near-rich" because of him and Microsoft. If he had not created Microsoft, there would be a lot more "poor people" in the world. Believe it.

P. J. O'Rourke recently made an "imaginary" commencement speech that was a lot different from usual. His first recommendation was for them to "go out and make a lot of money," which is just the opposite of what they've been conditioned to do by the liberals in education. Read his speech. It will be "an epiphany" for most. Here's part of it: "We were the moron generation. We were the generation that believed we could stop the Vietnam War by growing our hair long and dressing like circus clowns. We believed drugs would change everything -- which they did, for John Belushi. We believed in free love. Yes, the love was free, but we paid a high price for the sex. My generation spoiled everything for you. It has always been the special prerogative of young people to look and act weird and shock grown-ups. But my generation exhausted the Earth's resources of the weird. Weird clothes -- we wore them. Weird beards -- we grew them. Weird words and phrases -- we said them. So, when it came your turn to be original and look and act weird, all you had left was to tattoo your faces and pierce your tongues. Ouch. That must have hurt. I apologize. (P. J. O'Rourke)

McCain Must Not Want To Be President

If he did, he would take advantage of every "stumble" made by Obama OR Hillary. But instead of doing so, he DENOUNCES it when the North Carolina Republican Party does so in his stead, and even goes so far as to say that organization is "out of touch." You don't win the support of EITHER party by insulting them and denouncing what they do in an attempt to help you. (Human Events)

Still Arguing About Guns

Everybody's always arguing about whether or not honest, law-abiding people should be allowed to carry guns concealed for self-protection. But what's the argument about? The Constitution clearly states "No American shall be deprived of arms," that silly addition about "militias" notwithstanding. At the time it was written, militias, as "agencies of government" did not exist. The "militia" was ALL THE PEOPLE. At that time, government recognized the fact it could not defend us, and they expected us to defend ourselves against attack from another person and EXPECTED us to have the means to that defense. They recognized that "gun laws" merely made it harder on a criminal who used them to commit crimes, not to prevent EVERYBODY from carrying them. What is so hard to understand about that, that they have to argue about it hundreds of years later? It was only when Eastern liberal elites began to take over in the "hinterland" that laws were made to prohibit self-defense and the right to carry and use the means to that end. I keep asking the "unanswerable question" of "anti-gun freaks" and they have never been able to answer. They predictably start "calling me names," immediately. The question is: "What makes you think CRIMINALS, whose entire life is devoted to breaking the law, will OBEY a law that says they cannot be armed?" Colorado finally made a sensible law about "concealed carry" when a Republican was governor and it had a Republican majority in the legislature. I've been watching for the new Democrat legislature and Democrat governor to try and do something about that, and it is happening now. And they're still fighting about something even the Supreme Court agrees is an INDIVIDUAL right. What the hell don't they understand about that? They think they can lower violent crime rates by taking away from honest people the means to defend themselves. They're wrong. Gun laws should only apply to criminals who use guns to commit crime and should not be routinely used as "throw-away charges" to get confessions out of criminals by "dropping" them. They should be enforced to the limit in such cases. (Denver Post)
