Stupid Politician Tricks

In Lebanon, it seems like "surrender" is their "plan of operation." The other day, they fired the director of security at their airport because he was a "terrorist sympathizer." Hezbolla (one of the best known terrorist groups) objected and started making trouble for the government. So the government, predictably, "surrendered" and reinstated him (they say "temporary." Then there is Burma (also known as Myanmar) where 100,000 people have died and many more are homeless, where the communist dictatorship is "allowing" in a very small amount of "humanitarian aid," which they have "confiscated (stolen"), and where they devote more manpower to following and intimidating news crews than they have to helping their people survive. They "handed out" boxes of aid, with propaganda messages enclosed, making it look like they are they source. In Russia (where there IS no communism any more) "former" communist secret policeman and later president Vladmir Putin was appointed (and installed) as prime minister by his "hand-picked" successor to the presidency, which is now little more than a "ceremonial position" (with most power now in the prime minister's hands (and they really think the world doesn't notice things like this?). In Iraq, they have done exactly what the terrorists want them to do, so they'll "agree to stop shooting at each other. In America, President George Bush (who is "marrying off" his daughter this weekend) has "bought" AlGore's massive global swindle about man-made global warming. He further thinks "America is "addicted to oil." Under that definition, I'm "addicted" to food and water because I eat and drink it every day. I have to, to stay alive. That's not "an addiction." It's a "basic need," as is oil.

Who The Hell Does He Think He Is?

New York Mayor Bloomberg is suing a gun manufacturer in Georgia, and that dealer is citing the Second Amendment in his defense. So Bloomberg is now trying to get the judge to stop them from even MENTIONING the Second Amendment. What gall! Even if the judge HAD that kind of authority, he shouldn't, because the Second Amendment is a BASIC right, no matter what Bloomberg might think (He says "any reference to the Second Amendment is irrelevant in this trial." How stupid is that?). That's like telling a judge to stop any reference to murder in a murder trial. I think we need to get rid of politicians like Bloomberg. I'm thankful he's not the mayor of Denver, although we have had some mayors her just as bad, if not as rich. Bloomberg has a "total disregard" for the law. That's not the kind of politician we want in this country. If not for the Constitution, Bloomberg might be in line for the job of "dictator" if it ever came open, and he'd do the job with a complete disregard for not only the law, but for the rights of citizens. Where Did the "Smoking Settlement Money" Go?

In Illinois, they have passed a law allowing them to "take" $235 million dollars of the $270 million they STOLE from the cigarette companies (You know, the money that was "earmarked" for anti-smoking propaganda?). This just proves, once again, that the act of suing cigarette companies for making a LEGAL product was not about smoking and cigarettes. It was simply a means of "stealing the profits" of companies who, they could convince enough people, made a product THEY didn't like. I think if we looked, we'd find that this sort of thing has happened in every state who got a "cut of the loot." (Just common sense)

Not THIS Woman!

Hillary, I'm sure, is attributing her foundering campaign to the refusal of "white, Anglo-Saxon Protestants" to elect a woman president. She's wrong. Maybe SOME people DO just not want to elect a woman president. But most just don't want to elect THIS woman president. I'm one of those. I'd elect Condoleeza in a minute. And she's not only a woman' she's black. But she's also the right kind of woman and wouldn't move us closer to socialism if elected. This is just the kind of thinking that is one of the primary reasons I, along with many others (including half of Democrats) would not like this woman (who thinks the job is hers "by right" of succession) elected. But the country has spoken: they want to be RID of the Clintons. The biggest albatross around Hillary's neck (aside from her socialist politics, of course) is . . .Bill This is the second election he has lost for a protégé. Research showed that whenever Bill Clinton was mentioned in the Gore campaign, his numbers went down quicker than Bill's pants whenever he got a chance. Ann Coulter says, "[W]e are now left with two dangerous choices for president -- a young liberal who is friendly with terrorists or an old liberal who is friendly with Teddy Kennedy." (Ann Coulter)

Gore Will Use ANYTHING to Support His Swindle

Now he's claiming the disastrous cyclone in Burma (I don't care what the military junta calls it now) was "caused by global warming." This in SPITE of the new evidence that we haven't been "warming" for years, but in fact, might be entering a "cooling" period. But of course, Gore calls such things "evidence of junk science" and those saying such things "global warming deniers" instead of trying to argue on the merits. That's his method, and it is the method of a swindler who is about to lose his swindle The only reason Gore is not in prison for his swindle is that he's so good at convincing otherwise intelligent people he's right. He'll probably jump on the earthquake in Japan as "more evidence" that global warming is real. (My Way)

Is It A "Recession?"

Larry Elder says,  " 'It's a recession,' said former President Harry Truman, 'when your neighbor loses his job; it's a depression when you lose yours.' For people facing home foreclosure, job loss or the struggle of paying high gas prices, the definition a recession seems immaterial and insignificant. True." The term "recession" is a mathematical term, indicating two consecutive quarters of reduction in the economy. But to those who have lost their homes, been fired, and cannot get another job that pays as much as the one they had. THIS is a "recession." It is not. The "foreclosure problem" was not caused by an economic downturn. It was caused by a combination of lenders making loans they KNEW the borrower could not repay, buyers accepting loans they KNEW they could not repay, hoping for the government to "bail them out." This had "rippled" into the job market and caused SOME layoffs and an "employer's market" in hiring. Workers should simply rent a house and accept a job at a lower rate of pay (for a while) until things "open up." Whining and crying won't make things better. Thinking we are "in a recession" won't do it. We have to "think positively" because those who BELIEVE we're in a recession will create their own "self-perpetuating prophecy" and will CAUSE a recession. (Larry Elder/Human Events)
