In Illinois, they have passed a
law allowing them to "take" $235 million dollars of the $270 million
they STOLE from the cigarette companies (You know, the money that was "earmarked" for anti-smoking propaganda?). This just proves, once again, that the
act of suing cigarette companies for making a LEGAL product was not about
smoking and cigarettes. It was simply a means of "stealing the
profits" of companies who, they could convince enough people, made a
product THEY didn't like. I think if we looked, we'd find that this sort of
thing has happened in every state who got a "cut of the loot." (Just
common sense)
