"Foolish Delusion"

It IS a "foolish delusion" for Barack Obama to think "talking to" the Islamic terrorists will do any good. And Bush was NOT talking about Obama. He was talking about EVERY liberal who thinks this way. For Obama to whine that Bush was talking about HIM is a presumption on his part. It's not all about Obama, though he is just the latest Democrat liberal) to think this way. But for him to think he is the ONLY one is the heights of ego. (Fox News)

Bi-Partisanship

What is it? To the Democrats (liberals) it is agreeing with them and "crossing the aisle" to THEIR position. Have you ever seen a Democrat "crossing the aisle" and embracing a conservative position? No, and you never will. Whenever they talk about "bi-partisanship," they mean Republicans need to abandon their principles and come over to the Democrat position. They really think the majority of Americans don't know that, and for the most part, they're right. Those who "don't pay attention to politics" until just before an election don't. Those of us who "pay attention" to politics all the time KNOW when their pockets are being picked and will not allow it to happen. We will NOT "abandon our principles," ever. No matter how much the liberals want us to do so. Has anybody noticed that three of the most violent confrontations against the "power of government" (Waco, the Oklahoma bombing and the forced deportation of a six-year-old child at gunpoint) came during the Clinton administration? Was that "bi-partisanship?" (Lew Rockwell)

How Do "basic Premises" Pass By?

This writer refers to the thinking in America that caused the election of Ronald Reagan as a "historical moment." What's that? He says it has "passed." But how do basic premises "pass?" What caused Reagan to be elected is that he was not afraid to talk about the "rise of socialism" in this nation and the need to reverse it, plus the need to defeat communism wherever it raises its "ugly head." This is a "basic premise" which cannot "pass." We are STILL "fighting socialism" and will continue to do so until those idiots who believe it can work to the point where they want to FORCE it onto all of us start finding out the truth. There will probably not be another Ronald Reagan in my lifetime --which is tragic--but his ideas are too powerful to not be brought up again by another highly-intelligent man (or woman). Hopefully, this person will not be destroyed by the liberals before he/she can do anything to reverse this move toward collectivism (socialism). When this person comes, the liberals will do everything they can to destroy him/her. That's a "given." (News Busters)

Hiring the "Token Conservative"

Just as, in the past, they hired a "token black" to keep people from thinking they were racist, now at least one VERY liberal school is "seeking": a "conservative professor" for its staff. There are many universities that are VERY liberal, but none more so than CU. Their search for a "conservative professor" tells me that this is simply a PR stunt. If they REALLY wanted one, they know where to look. Look in their files they keep on people they consider "kooks." You know, the ones they've refused to hire for many years because of their views. People like Thomas Sowell or Walter E. Williams. But they would never hire Sowell or Williams because they couldn't "control" him. They're looking for someone who is "barely" conservative would do and say what they tell him, while they CLAIMED he was a conservative. (Bud Peterson/Wall Street Journal)

Obama's "57 States"

I can't believe that Barack Hussein Obama, candidate for the highest office in the land, doesn't know how many states there are in the Union! He thinks there are 57! (Actually he thinks there are sixty, but 57 came immediately to mind) Strangely enough, that's exactly how many there are under Islamic control. Maybe it was  "Freudian slip?" In any case, whatever his other shortages are aside, can we afford to have a president who is not even as well-informed as WE are? And of course, the liberal media, which obsessed over Republican Vice-President's misspelling of "potatoe," all but ignored it entirely. It was left to the "alternative media" to bring it out. Sheesh! Can there be better evidence of their bias? (News Busters)

HIllary's Ignorant Fuel Prices "Cure"

Every day, in every way, Hillary Clinton (and Barack Obana) show their ignorance on energy by their proposals for even more taxes on oil. Higher taxes are the answer for liberals ANY time, whether they will solve (not) or exacerbate (make worse) the problem. They talk about "recouping the oil money" by an "excessive profits tax" based on the price of a barrel of oil (Now, THAT'LL really help!). Does anybody think American citizens will ever see a PENNY of the money they collect that way? It's all about putting more of OUR money in the pockets of politicians and bureaucrats to spend as THEY see fit. She even wants to create an "Energy Czar" if she actually manages to be elected president (which I doubt will happen, and pray I'm right). That's just what we need. A bureaucrat whose entire job is to harass oil producers (Way to punish those we NEED for doing their jobs, against all the "rules and regulations" bureaucrats can come up with to hinder them!). It's amazing to me that people like her, who aren't even as well-informed as I am, can run for president and be seriously considered by the public. (The New York Sun)

Government Swindles

Inflation is one of the most subtle of swindles, because it takes money away from you "under the table) by causing prices on everything to rise while your pay remains the same for long after. They blame it on the "wage-price spiral," ignoring the fact that the "wage-price spiral" is just a SYMPTOM of the problem. The problem is CAUSED by the GOVERNMENT printing more and more money with nothing behind it with no limit, making each dollar in existence worth less in buying power. Environmentalism is one of the best swindles they have, because who wants to be thought of as being "against the environment?" The Great "Global Warming Swindle" isn't a "government swindle" but governments have gleefully "jumped onto the wagon" because it's a good way to swindle more people out of more money and power. Then there is "It's for the children!" That's the hue and cry every time they want to do something stupid, but which gives them more of YOUR money and more power to play with. In addition, there's the "anti-gun swindle," the "anti-smoking swindle," the "Microsoft anti-trust swindle," and others too numerous to even mention here. All of these swindles involved swindling "big business" out of millions, even BILLIONS of dollars for producing a LEGAL product they have been able to convince people are "bad for you." With Microsoft it was just their way to force Bill Gates to give Washington the money he wasn't giving them willingly. They've got him so afraid that he was heard to say that he intended to "give away" 95% of his fortune. All the time this is giving the government politicians and bureaucrats more and more money to spend, while "closing in" on us with more and more laws, rules and regulations, many contradicting each other so there's NO WAY we can be law-abiding if we violate one while obeying another. (Ayn Rand makes it clear why this method is so favored. She says it's a way to make "lawbreakers" out of all of us so they can "control" us as "lawbreakers.") Probably the best way Congress (or any legislature) to "help us" is to go home and stop making laws (I put "government swindles" into Google and got 135,000 "hits." Does that tell you anything?).
