"Oil Crisis" But OPEC Won't Budge

Which tells us a lot about what they're after. And it's not just money. They want to cripple the rest of the world while they "swim" in the oil money WE helped them get. They seem to forget WE found the oil, drilled for it, brought it out of the ground, and let them subsequently "nationalize" their oil companies, thus taking over control of a large portion of the world's oil supply. Iraq is not about oil, but maybe it should be. Maybe we should "go after" the OPEC countries that hold a large portion of our oil futures in their hands. Up to now, they've not tried to exercise that control in an inordinate way. But they are, now, with oil prices (today) at $130 a barrel. Is there a real reason why oil prices should have skyrocketed in such a manner? I don't think so, or they would be talking a lot about it. It's money, and it's power. They have the power to make the oil prices skyrocket, and they're doing so with abandon. This needs to be stopped, in some way. I don't know if it's worth a war, but sometimes things are. Demagoguery

"The difference between Barack Obama and Jeremiah Wright is that they are addressing different audiences, using different styles adapted to those audiences. It is a difference between upscale demagoguery and ghetto demagoguery, playing the audience for suckers in both cases. People on the far left like to flatter themselves that they are for the poor and the downtrodden. But what is most likely to lift people out of poverty--telling them that the world has done them wrong or promoting the work ethic of the Korean girls, the dogged determination of my Harvard classmate with the newspaper in his shoe, or the self-reliance of my fellow junior high school student in Harlem who had too much pride to take charity?" what, indeed? Liberals like to say they're "for the poor," but what do they want? The "poor" to depend on THEM more and more. They'll give them just enough to "get by" while they depend on their "liberal friends" for their very daily bread. And they're willing to sell their votes dearly to "keep the goodies coming." "Sexist Campaign"

Hillary surrogate Geraldine Ferraro says the only reason Hillary is losing is "because she's a girl." They all "jump on her." Poor baby! Seems to me there's a little more to it than sexism, though. Hillary is a "dedicated socialist" who wants to "take things" from people who EARN it and GIVE them to people who don't. That's socialism. It is one form of collectivism, whose entire reason for living is to TAKE from those who EARN and GIVE that taken to those who don't. Another form is communism. Does Geraldine think that has nothing to do with it? It's easy to say it's "sexism" or in Obama's case "racism." That allows them to ignore the other reasons why people aren't voting for them. The "Hatemonger" web site says: "According to this self-proclaimed feminist, it is sexist to treat female candidates for president according to the exact same standards as male candidates, since they are clearly more delicate [Emphasis mine. -RT]. Thus John Edwards and his ilk are degenerate women-haters because they dared to offer extended criticism of a lady." I hate to cite this site because they are in a constant search for racists. But their words, in this case, are "right on." Treating women and men candidates exactly alike is "racist" or "sexist," according to Geraldine. (Real Clear Politics)

Free Koran?

"If you're in your front yard, working in the flower bed or chatting with a neighbor, they'll pass by silently to attach one of the bags they're carrying to your front door knob and leave without speaking or engaging you in debate. Their mission? To place a copy of the Quran in every home in the United States." Not MY home! If they do that to me, they can come back later and find it in the trash. There's no way they'll ever convince me, or any member of my family to convert to a stupid religion like that, so they'd be wasting it on my doorstep. I have no use for such crap. I wouldn't have it in the house. (World Net Daily)

"The Power of God"

"The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services erroneously labeled 3,051 innocent people as child abusers by placing them on the state's official list." And the law requires that once you get on the list, innocent or guilty, you have to remain there for five years. That this can ruin your life doesn't seem to matter. 'They're not all bad, there are good ones,' Nick Brunstein reportedly said of state child abuse investigators, 'but the bad ones have the power of God, and with the stroke of a pen they can ruin your life.' " And they do it routinely in ALL states. These people have WAY too much power. They need to be "reined in." (World Net Daily)

A Dying Man Has No Enemies

Ted Kennedy has a malignant brain tumor. Everybody, including most of his worst enemies, are "stumbling over" each other trying to say good things about him. I will not join that chorus, although I will try and refrain from making nasty cracks about "swimming off and letting his pregnant girlfriend to die" or making a "waitress sandwich" with help from a friend (usually another Kennedy), and even "environmentalist Kennedy" dumping diesel fuel into Nantucket Bay. I just listened to a Fox reporter trying his best to say something good about Teddy and all he could come up with was that he was "a hard man for a reporter to pin down" in the hall, even though he couldn't stand very long, due to his problems with his legs. Personally, I can find NO "nice things" to say about him, so I won't even try. It's obvious others are having problems finding good things to say about him, too, for all I've been hearing are platitudes about him being "a fighter all his life." My father died of a brain tumor back in 1981, when they had no Cat-Scans (I think) with which to make an early diagnosis--and we all know "early diagnosis" is something that can be life-saving, and HE was "a fighter.". I'd say that's the only chance Teddy  has. I just heard a Fox News commentator say "he's a fighter, and we need fighters." I don't agree that we need his kind of fighter in the Senate, but that illustrates their determination to say SOMETHING good about him and their frustration in being able to find nothing real. More Global Warming Crap

Prince Charles has "joined the chorus" of idiots shouting "the sky is falling," a myth perpetrated by former (Thank God) VP AlGore. And their cries get shriller and shriller. At least AlGore had the sense (he thought) to make "the disaster" years in the future (the fact that he said we'd all die in "ten years" more than fifteen years ago, nobody talks about). Prince Charles has brought it down to 18 months, a date easily found to be a lie in nineteen months. Maybe he thinks being born into royalty makes him smarter than anyone else. They even convinced President Bush there's something to Gore's blathers. The thing that amazes me is that so many otherwise intelligent people buy this crap. (London Telegraph)

Cartoonist Imprisoned

Dutch cartoonist Gregorius Nekshot (a pseudonym) was arrested in Holland for doing cartoons insulting to Islam. Somebody said, "When a government stops protecting free speech and instead imprisons those who practice it, it's time to get a new government." They did that in Holland. Is it time to "get a new government" in Holland? At least we still have the First Amendment in this country and they still at least "give lip service" to it. When they stop, then maybe it will be time for a new government here. (Pajamas Media)

Hezbolla Threatens "Open War"

This over the death of a terrorist in Beruit, one who killed 241 American Marines there. How could we tell the difference between "open war" and the daily shelling they've been doing? Do they really think no one will retaliate against their people when they daily kill many people? Sheesh! What a bunch of jerks! I've had this for a while but had more important things to post, other than the imaginary threat from Hezbolla (however they spell it today).  (Just common sense)
