Ted Kennedy has a malignant
brain tumor. Everybody, including most of his worst enemies, are
"stumbling over" each other trying to say good things about him. I
will not join that chorus, although I will try and refrain from making nasty
cracks about "swimming off and letting his pregnant girlfriend to
die" or making a "waitress sandwich" with help from a friend
(usually another Kennedy), and even "environmentalist Kennedy" dumping
diesel fuel into Nantucket Bay. I just listened to a Fox reporter trying
his best to say something good about Teddy and all he could come up with was
that he was "a hard man for a reporter to pin down" in the hall, even though he
couldn't stand very long, due to his problems with his legs. Personally, I can
find NO "nice things" to say about him, so I won't even try. It's
obvious others are having problems finding good things to say about him, too,
for all I've been hearing are platitudes about him being "a fighter all
his life." My father died of a brain tumor back in 1981, when they had no
Cat-Scans (I think) with which to make an early diagnosis--and we all know "early
diagnosis" is something that can be life-saving, and HE was "a
fighter.". I'd say that's the only chance Teddy has. I just heard a Fox News
commentator say "he's a fighter, and we need fighters." I don't agree
that we need his kind of fighter in the Senate, but that illustrates their
determination to say SOMETHING good about him and their frustration in being
able to find nothing real. (Fox News)
