Fox Reports Attack, Liberal Media Doesn't

American troops attacked a "terrorist stronghold," located right in the middle of a neighborhood that is home to millions of Iraq civilians and "55 yards away from a hospital." They managed to kill or capture many Islamic terrorists but the biggest part of the story, even on Fox (which the liberals continue to call "biased") was its nearness to a hospital (even though no patients were injured) and the U. S. sending a missile into a "neighborhood," killing and wounding a few civilians (who are conveniently close to the enemy's "lair.") But how do you kill the enemy if he's hiding among citizens and close to a hospital? That's where this enemy hides, hoping if we attack them in their lair, we'll accidentally kill or injure a few civilians and they can play that up in the liberal media. That is, when the liberal media bothers to report it, at all (Notice that even Fox won't call them Islamic terrorists. They still call them "militants."). (Fox News)

Do We Need A Philosophy?

Of course we do! Everybody has a "philosophy of life." Something that guides them in the living thereof. Some people don't realize they do. If they say they have no philosophy of life, THAT is their philosophy. Most people who think they have no philosophy DO have one, but don't realize what it is and can't put it into words. But it is there and can be extracted if the right questions are asked. Objectivism is a philosophy. But is one that is rejected by those who refuse to accept the Ayn Rand Institute's contention that Objectivism must be practiced AS IS, with no changes allowed. That is "cult-like," and SHOULD be rejected. Real Objectivism is that preached and practiced by the Atlas Society, where they admit that Objectivism is NOT "complete" as is, and CAN be changed as new FACTS are found. This is "Kelley Objectivism," and that's the philosophy to which I subscribe. ARI is well known to "excommunicate" those who disagree with their ideas, and force people to do likewise if they want to associate with them. Those of you who are ARI Objectivists, don't bother to write to take me to task because we must "agree to disagree." I am not, and cannot be, an ARI Objectivist. (William Thomas)

"Operation Chaos"

I am hearing calls from a lot of people who completely misunderstand Rush Limbaugh's "Operation Chaos." They think it is to capture the nomination for one candidate or the other. It is not. The whole purpose of "Operation Chaos" is to "create chaos" in the Democrat Party and force them to continue "bloodying" each other right up to, and during the convention in Denver while spending millions of dollars they would not have spent otherwise, leaving them less money to use in opposing the Republican candidate while having less time left to do so before the general election. It has succeeded beyond even Rush's wildest dreams. If either of them actually wins the general election it won't be Rush's fault. (Jo-Jo)

A Tax Increase is Personal

Personal for you, personal for me. Because it takes money we sorely need to pay our own bills out of our pockets to pay the imaginary needs of government. Government at every level is "awash in money," yet they constantly "poor mouth" us, telling us that if they don't get even more money they're going to have to stop certain REQUIRED services (That they never stop "peripheral" things such as a study of the sex life of the Tse-tse fly, we don't notice, and they don't tell us. That's what they did when Prop. 13 passed in California reducing property taxes. Because of a small loss of revenue, they threatened to cut money needed for fire and police services. They did this to frighten the "average taxpayer" into restoring revenues lost through Prop. 13. They're doing something similar in Colorado where the "TABOR Amendment" forced them to ASK PERMISSION before raising taxes, and return moneys collected above TABOR limits. They recently passed a law that allowed them to KEEP the billions of dollars they overtaxed us, WITH OUR PERMISSION. I didn't give MY permission, but they kept my money anyway. Now that Democrats are in charge again, every word out of their mouths is about how much they're going to TAKE from those capable of earning it and GIVE to those who don't. Just listen to their own words. It's "take, take, take." From all who can, and do "earn" money and "give, give, give" to those who don't or won't. Hillary talks about "taking the "excess profits" her liberal friends CREATED from the oil companies by not allowing them to search for oil in the U. S. and "forcing" them to do what they wanted to do, anyway, but having to adhere to HER idea of where to look. I'm getting really tired of seeing this, and having otherwise intelligent people buy her lies and give their PERMISSION for her to loot producers in this way while REWARDING non-producers. She even wants a "poverty czar" now, when we don't have "poverty" here like they do elsewhere. (Newt Gingrich/Human Events)

"Press One for English"

Why should I have to "press one for English" every time I get a computer when I call anywhere for customer service? I'd bet they don't have "press one for Spanish" in Mexico.This is AMERICA! We speak ENGLISH here! Why not change that to "press one for SPANISH, or French, or even Swahili? I look at the forms sent me by the feds and see a BOOK where it used to be a post card, all because of the many different languages they must put it into, BY LAW! This is a "can of worms" we've opened by "bending over and grabbing our ankles" whenever someone "gets "offended" by having to speak ENGLISH in an "English-speaking" country! They'll call me a "racist" for this, because they can't answer the questions I raised. So they'll just "label me" and go on, figuring I'll be busy protesting that I'm NOT a racist. One time I was a security officer in a post office and got hell from an old Mexican man because I didn't speak Spanish. He seemed to think it was a "lawful requirement" if I worked in a federal establishment. I told him to "get lost." In English. I shouldn't have to go out of my way for people who REFUSE to learn our language and learn THEIRS, in MY country. If I move to a foreign country to live, I'm going to learn their language, not demand they accommodate me and learn mine. It's only right. (Just common sense)

A Certain "Dearth of Coverage"

I've noticed a "certain dearth" of coverage in the liberal media (and the "alternative media") of Hillary's "first round" with Bill O'Reilly on Fox. Even on Fox, all I could find is the video. Could it be because she didn't do as well as they thought she would? I haven't even heard much about it in the "alternative media." Maybe Bill didn't "hit her hard" with the kind of questions the liberal media NEVER ask her. I don't know. I never watch such shows because I can usually get at the pertinent parts later. But apparently not in this case. And I won't subject myself to actually watching Hillary for a half-hour to find out the facts. I would need "anti-barf" pills to do that. I like Bill generally, even though he is not a conservative or any kind of an individualist. But he usually DOES "ask the tough questions," even of his fellow Fox commentators. So why not Hillary? The "Snippets" ARE Jeramiah. Wright

Obama has complained that the press is repeating "snippets" from Jeremiah Wright's 30 years of sermons and wanting the world to think they represent want Wright IS. They ARE. When he says, "God DAMN America," he is boiling his opinion down to three words, and nothing else he says or does can change that. These words are in CDs proudly sold by his church. Yes, he might not talk this way all the time (I doubt that), but these words are what Wright IS, no matter what anyone else (or Rev. Wright) may say. If you are a racist demagogue, you don't have to say it every day. If that's how you FEEL, that's how you feel, no matter what you say from day to day to hide it. "If it takes Obama 20 years to notice that his pastor is a traitorous, racist nut-job, it will probably take him his full term of office to realize that the U.S. has been invaded and subdued by al-Qaida. Let's just hope President Obama pays closer attention during national security briefings than he did during 20 years of the Rev. Wright's church services." (Ann Coulter)

Suicide?

The woman who was convicted of several charges as a "Madame" in Washington, DC has been found dead. They SAY it is "suicide." But this woman had a list of customers that would have ruined many a Washington politician. Do you think they would allow her to live, and ruin them? I don't think so. This ruling will probably stay because the "powers that be" want this to "go away," and if it is finally ruled a suicide, it will. (Town Hall Blog)

"Vilifying" Themselves

Some critics are accusing Hollywood of "vilifying Arabs. Actually, it is Arabs who are "vilifying" themselves by not denouncing the extremist Islamic terrorists who live among them; by teaching their children in Arab schools to "hate" anyone who doesn't believe the same way they do. They call them "Infidels," and it is not only the extremist elements that use this word to describe anyone who has a different religion. This is taught in, if not ALL Arab schools, enough of them to create sufficient fodder for the extremists to be able to recruit more than enough ignorant followers who will believe that crap about "74 virgins" to be his if he is killed while trying to kill Infidels. Hmmm. I wonder if Hitler ever had anyone complain about people "vilifying" the "brown shirts?" (Reuters)

Voters Tired of Hearing About Wright?

Barak Obama says voters are "tired" of hearing about his "former" pastor, Jeremiah Wright. But what he really means is HE'S tired of hearing about Wright and wishes Wright would "zip it." Every time Wright opens his mouth it hurts Obama's campaign and shows the world, once more, what Obama stands for, since he sat in Wright's congregation for 20 years and said nothing. Does anybody really believe he never heard Wright say the racist things we've all heard, in 20 YEARS? He must think the voters are stupid! And he might be right, since most voters "don't pay attention" until just before an election, when the lies are flying. He'd LOVE for Wright to "go away," but Wright isn't going to. It would destroy his "racist rants" if a black man ever won the presidency. He'd have to change his entire rant, and he doesn't want that. So you can expect to see him continue to do everything he can to torpedo Obama's candidacy. (Yahoo News)
