Citing Rush Limbaugh

Some people discount postings where I cite Rush Limbaugh as the source. That's wrong. The liberals paint Rush as being "shrill" and "shouting," and wrong. But he's none of those things. He's very "cool and collected," he uses their own words and actions against them, and while I don't agree with his every OPINION, I've never caught him in a lie. He's usually "right on top of things." There are some who SAY he lies, and is a racist. But when you examine what he said and what is the truth, you find that the "lie" is a simple disagreement of opinion, which is as it should be, since Rush (and I) delight in "tweaking" the left.  He is no more a racist than I am (and I judge people as INDIVIDUALS, not by the group they're in). It is his critics who ARE the racists, which they prove every day without realizing it. He has been proven to be right more than 98% of the time. Can you tell me about a liberal pundit who can truthfully claim such a thing? (I certainly can't) Those people would do well to listen to Rush before calling him a liar, rather than take quotes "out of context" (which they regularly do, on purpose) THAT they get from left-wing blogs and "news sources", then twist them out of recognition before they criticize him for them. Lamenting Buggy Whips

Jessica Bennett laments the passing of those "quaint old stores" that used to dot the streets in her town while celebrating the lower prices and access to "global business" that comes with Wal-Mart and other of its kind. Then she asks why we should "cry" about those old, "quaint" business that cost us so much more to provide us with am limited supply of some of the things we need. That we should be glad that we are "progressing" in this "world's economy." She says, " The truth is, globalization is a fact, not a trend, and its consequences are also positive as well as rational. Global corporations save people money, connect the world, and help multiple economies. Most importantly, it is the next step of capitalism. Successful companies grow and expand; weaker companies don’t. This is the law of economics, and it is not fair to boo the winners because they are so good at what they do." Indeed, why should we "boo" those who do things better (We're not talking about "global government," here)? Or should we allow those owners of those old, and expensive, inefficient stores to stop progress? Should we have stopped the "take-over" of the automobile to "save" the buggy-whip makers? Those people will probably go to work for Wal-Mart or Target, or some other big chain at much more money than they made in their old stores. Meanwhile, we'll pay less for what we buy, have more from which to choose, at better quality. Yes, some jobs will "go overseas." But others that WERE overseas will come here. Have you counted the number of "foreign cars" that are made in this country? I have a Nissan (Japanese) made in Smyrna, Tennessee, using local labor and sold by American-owned dealers. Think about it. What percentage of the money I paid for it goes to the Japanese (about 6%), and what part goes to Americans? (The Atlasphere)

Boy, Did They Fool Us!

Korea's pot-bellied little dictator, Kim Jung-Il, with much fanfare, blew up an antiquated tower, presumably one "needed" to advance his push toward nuclear power status after Bush promised to get rid of some of the sanctions we have had against this terrorist state for a long time and for taking his country off our "terrorist nation" list. The fact that this tower is only a "symbol" he no longer needs makes no difference to those who naively believe he has actually shut down his nuclear program. While the smoke from the explosion is clearing (or long before), he has built another tower somewhere else in his country, well hidden from the locals, AND from above. If Bush thinks he has stopped working toward being a nuclear power, he has "lost it." Even Obama, who isn't too bright himself, didn't "buy it." Kim fooled Clinton, and he has now fooled Bush. Is there no end to the ignorance of our politicians? (Front Page Magazine)

Democrats: Change Your Rhetoric!

I'm so tired of hearing Damnocrats holler the word "change" without ever telling us what they mean by it, I just want to turn off the television and radio, and get rid of newspapers and magazines! But I can't do that. I tried it already and found out just what it was like to not realize how they were "raping" me and picking my pocket every day while I was looking the other way. Even Republicans talk about "change" without ever defining it. I want to know what THEY mean by "change!" What did Bill Clinton run on? "Change!" They ALWAYS run on "change!" But nothing ever changes. No matter who is in the White House, the only change is the SPEED at which we move toward socialism. Democrats mean faster movement toward socialism. I understand that, which is why I want NO part of a Democrat in the White House. The only problem this year is that the Republican candidate has ALSO shown socialistic tendencies and has even sponsored a "constitution-busting" law to limit debate against incumbent politicians in the "McCain-Feingold Act, (The "Incumbent Protection Act")" which should have already been deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, but which wasn't, because we still have too many liberal-leaning (socialist) justices. What amazes me is that normally intelligent people BUY this crap and vote for them. (Town Hall/Paul Jacob)

That's what Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama told women who were still angry about Hillary's "thumping" at his hands. That doesn't disturb me because that's the attitude I've seen since Obama first started his campaign. People who didn't like him foisting socialism on this country should "get over it. He hasn't said that in so many words, but his very ignoring of the subject of his socialism tells me he wants ME to "get over it." Well, I've got a clue for him. Socialism vs. individualism is a BASIC premise, and I'm NOT going to "get over it." I will NOT vote a known radical socialist who SOUGHT OUT the support of a communist organization in the past, for ANYTHING, much less the presidency. (The Obama Report)

They're Frightened!

Environmental crazies and their "willing accomplices" in the Democrat Party have successfully halted ANY kind of domestic drilling for oil AND refining it. Republican Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal says "We shouldn't have to choose between the economy and the environment." And he's right. The environmentalist claims have not, and will not be proven, yet they have done everything they can to ruin this country's economy through CREATING a fuel shortage by completely stopping domestic drilling AND refining of oil. Meanwhile, since they are SUPPORTING Ethanol (a "failed solution"), they are ALLOWING the building of hundreds of ETHANOL refineries, right now. My question is this: "If building refineries is so bad, how is this possible?" They're destroying the economy because they're FRIGHTENED of something they cannot even PROVE! They keep saying it would take ten years or more for us to see any results if their bans were lifted. So why didn't they do it ten years ago? If they had, we'd be enjoying the benefits now. Yeah, But...

The U. S. Supreme Court has ruled that the Second Amendment DOES support an INDIVIDUAL RIGHT to own and use a gun for self-defense. But the "anti-gun crowd" will still insist that that "right" is subject to "reasonable regulation." Those opposed to the "shooting down" of the Washington, DC gun ban are still insisting that the Washington DC gun ban LOWERED the crime rate. That is an out-and-out LIE. Why then, is the DC violent crime rate the highest in the nation? Why is the violent crime rate in Florida and other places where it is easier for "honest people" to get and carry guns LOWER than anywhere else? The "pro-gun" folks are "dancing in the streets" and many are on their way out to buy their guns.  But if you look at it logically, nothing has changed. Who defines "reasonable regulation? Is that stupid "gun lock" regulation that has caused the deaths of many while fumbling to unlock their guns "reasonable regulation? How about the one allowing you to carry a gun in your car in a box, with ammunition in another box? You know, the one designed to cause you to have to find both boxes and load your gun before you can defend yourself against a criminal holding a loaded, ILLEGAL gun he had NO trouble obtaining? Yes, carrying a gun IS an "individual right." But the "reasonable regulation" thing keeps the power to keep you disarmed in the hands of those who want everybody except THEMSELVES to be disarmed. Wake Up, Americans!

There are all too many people in America, all of whom have a vote, who are willing to elect socialist/Democrat/peacenik (at any cost) Barack Obama to the presidency so he can not only DISARM America and make us  vulnerable to terrorist attack, but who has pledged to "get us out of Iraq," so the terrorists, who are now busy there, and losing, can come here and kill us directly. Thomas Sowell says, " The terrorists have given us as clear a picture of what they are all about as Adolf Hitler and the Nazis did during the 1930s--and our 'leaders' and intelligentsia have ignored the warning signs as resolutely as the 'leaders' and intelligentsia of the 1930s downplayed the dangers of Hitler. We are much like people drifting down the Niagara River, oblivious to the waterfalls up ahead. Once we go over those falls, we cannot come back up again." Liberals Aren't Rational

They make rules and regulations that kill. That cause massive unemployment, especially among the youngest, least talented people (minimum wage laws). They see high oil prices and want to raise taxes on the oil producers (excess profits taxes). They want to "pull out" of Iraq without winning, just as they forced us out of Viet Nam without winning by cutting funds, killing many people. They just don't think rationally. They don't care about the consequences of their acts. They think Europeans, who use many more electric cars than we do, are smart. But a look at their transportation costs shows they aren't. They constantly tell us we are in a recession, but ignore the fact that the last two "economic reports" have shown GROWTH (though not as much as we'd like). They don't care that what causes recessions is TALK. Yet they keep on talking about a "recession," although we are not, and have not been in one recently. If they keep talking this way, they'll CREATE a recession. (Thomas Sowell)

Should We "Follow Europe?"

Why the hell would we want to do that? Europe is where socialism "reigns supreme," and they need to accept "foreign aid" from us to survive! One article tells us to "follow Europe's lead and turn our back on oil." How stupid is that? Should we "turn our back on food," as well? They want us to "look to foreign LAW to adjudicate our legal cases. We wrote our own Constitution and created our own system of law, which is the best in the world to avoid using European laws to run our country! We have, from that constitution, created an economy that is the envy of the world and has allowed us, in just a few hundred years, EXCEED the performance of the rest of the world, which has existed for THOUSANDS of years. So what is there in Europe we want to "emulate?" What have Europeans done in thousands of years that we should emulate? Thomas Sowell says, "The American economy produces the largest output in the world-- more than Japan, Germany, and Great Britain combined." So tell me what we should copy? People who tell us to "follow Europe" need to have their heads examined. Giving Osama His "Rights!"

Osama bin Laden and his ilk don't HAVE any "rights" in the United States! The liberals think if we brought Osama bin Laden to Gitmo, he should be entitled to the same rights as any American. So let's not bring him to Gitmo if they ever find his charred body. Let Afghanistan try him and execute him under THEIR laws if they can find anything left of him, as Iraq did Saddam. They are NOT Americans. They are not ENTITLED to constitutional rights. Even though they wear no uniforms, they are "enemy combatants" and should be shot on sight if caught "in the act" on the battlefield. (Just common sense)

We Can't Afford Obama!

It's that simple. Obama's plans would cost us a TRILLION DOLLARS MORE than we're spending now! We simply can't afford to elect him president, whatever color he is. I would vote for Thomas Sowell (also black) in a "New York minute." He UNDERSTANDS economics. But he could never get elected, not because he's black, but because he wouldn't promise you all the "goodies" Obama routinely does. What is he promising (today)? A $65 billon a year health plan; $15 billion a year in green energy spending; $8.5 billion in tax cuts and credits; a $25 billion dollar increase in foreign aid; $18 billion a year in education spending; and $3.5 billion for a national service plan. Put it all together and you have a $200 billion increase in spending, JUST NEXT YEAR! $800 TRILLION over just the next four years, and that doesn't even include the "Alternative minimum tax," a $50 billion item that will surely pass. Whenever we suggest reducing taxes, they ask "where are going to get the money?" But I ask now, "Where are we going to get the money" for his fanciful notions of what he can "give us." Ask him, he'll tell you: "higher taxes." We'll get to pay for his fanciful promises, to be sure. (U. S. News & World Report) Not a conservative source, that.

Playing The "Race Card," Big Time

Obama is "playing the race card, big time." If you listen to him, if you vote against him, you're a racist. Other politicians wish they had such a "natural vote-getter" for their campaigns. But the "racist tag" is "getting just a little thin" and fewer people are "buying" this lie. So don't look for it to gain many votes for this socialist race-baiter. Notice the "Jesus-like" picture Rush "picked up" from the news media. Obama, looking up (toward Heaven, maybe?), with what looks like a "halo" around his head. Subtle imagery. Obama is claiming "racism," but the only "racism" I see is coming from Obama himself, his wife, and his pastor for over twenty years. (Rush Limbaugh)

Who Bankrolls Jesse Jackson?

Why? The names you will recognize: Anheuser-Bush, Bank of America, Boeing, Citicroup, Coca-Cola, Comcast, Ford, Freddie Mac, General Motors, Goldman-Sachs, GE, PepsiCo, and Shell. What the hell for? Why do these big companies give a "race hustler" big bucks so he can continue to shake companies like them down by threatening to call them "racist?" This guy has been using the same swindle for years. People know what he's doing, but they still give him money. Why? They're still frightened he's going to call them "racist." Racism is "big business." Jesse and his friends, Al Sharpie (er, uh, Sharpton) and Calypso Louie Farrakhan have made themselves millionaires with this scam. Even the IRS is afraid to challenge them. Joining the "Dumb List"

Another otherwise intelligent politician joins the "dumb list." John McCain is running ads bragging that he "saw" the global warming problem long before anyone else, including AlGore. What a load! Unfortunately, he's just showing his own stupidity at "buying" AlGore's massive swindle. So he has joined the "dumb list" with Newt Gingrich and a couple of others. Obama has been on the "dumb list" for a long time. Typically, he opposes ANYTHING that will make things better. Now he wants to put a big tax on oil companies. THAT'LL really bring the prices down! (Just common sense)
