"Talk ONLY About the Losses"

When reporting about the economy, all the liberal press talks about is "the losses." The headline on this Associated Press release is "Employers cut jobs for sixth straight month." Which looks like there ARE no jobs at all and everybody's going broke. Buried in the text is this: "Heavy job losses in construction, manufacturing and financial services, along with cutbacks in retailing, eclipsed job gains in education and health services, leisure and hospitality, and government. [Emphasis mine -RT] They don't even talk about commercial construction, which is at record levels. They only emphasize the losses. I guess that's how you create recessions. They talk about the 5.5% unemployment rate being the highest it's been in a long time, but forget to mention that a 5% unemployment rate is, in effect, NO unemployment. They give you all the negative figures, ignoring anything positive, and say the economy will have a "great effect" on the election. What they DON'T say is that the "softening economy" comes directly from liberal and environmentalist excesses that have made it almost impossible to drill for oil in the U. S., while making it impossible to build new oil refineries here for more than 30 years. All this reduced oil production in the U. S. to the point where it has become a "crisis" while blaming it all on George Bush and the Republicans. They don't tell you that if Democrats maintain control and/or gain more, this problem will only get worse. (AP/Yahoo News)

So THAT'S How They Do It!

Liberals like to "complicate things" and criticize people who are "too simple." That's so they can keep things so complicated you can't understand them. One of the things we do here is to simplify things so the "average person" can understand them. People have always wondered why those supposed "psychics" could tell you what you're thinking so as to "get your confidence" and con you out of money because you think they're so "insightful. These people are very good at extrapolating what's going on and attributing it to your thoughts. This cartoon simplifies the whole thing. I sometimes don't agree with Wiley, but in this case, like the one where his "Obviousman" told the old man carrying the sign saying "There Are No Absolutes" that he was "absolutely wrong" and his head exploded (the man with the sign), he hit it right on the head. The "Worst Economy Ever?"

The liberals like to say we're "in the worst economy ever. But they (want us to) forget a few things, such as: 5.5% unemployment, which is "effectively NO unemployment; 4% inflation with economic growth of 6%; Dow Jones "drop off" of 18% at its worst. Yeah. This is the "worst economy ever." Unless you consider the facts, which include Dow-Jones dropping 89% between 1929 and 1932 (from 380 to 41) and unemployment at 24.9% in 1933; in 1973 until 1977, unemployment went from 4.9%, then to almost 10% by 1982 (after many years of liberals in charge); while the Stock Market went from 1067 in January 1973 to 570 in December 1974 (a drop-off of 46%) accompanied by double-digit inflation (most during successive Democrat administrations). Yeah, this MUST BE "the worst economy ever." (Just common sense)

Rene (Marie) Martin's Racist Act

That's one of her names, anyway. She was hired to sing the National Anthem (of the United States) at Denver Mayor Hickenlooper's "State of the City" address. Instead, she sang what has been called the "Black National Anthem." To do so when people are expecting the "Star Spangled Banner" just to get attention for "Black Nationalism" is a "racist act," and nobody, including out esteemed mayor, was willing (as this is written) to say so afraid of being branded as a racist by the PC (Political Correctness) crowd and for fear, in some cases, of losing not just their job, but their career. I'm not afraid to "call them as I see them." Nobody can fire me. I've been called "racist" before because I'm not afraid of criticizing "race hustlers" like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and (Calypso Louie) Louis Farrakhan. If I were a "closet KKK member" and was hired to do a similar job, and I sang instead what passes for a "National Anthem" for the KKK, I'D be a racist looking for attention, just as she is. They SAY she has no "political (read: "racist") connections. BS. She's just PROVEN her "racist connections" by her act. This has become a "national incident," not just a Denver news story. I'm sure that was her plan. She's no different than Rev. Wright, who took advantage of being thrust onto the national stage to con someone into buying him a huge home by (hopefully) sabotaging Obama's presidential run by showing him for the racist he is (in ADDITION to being a "dedicated socialist"). If this woman was to be paid for her performance, that check should be stopped, and she should NEVER be invited to do anything similar because you can't be sure WHAT she'd come up with. This was a CALCULATED racist act. People, especially politicians, are afraid to criticize a black person for ANYTHING, lest they ruin their own careers, and too many "black activists" take advantage of that. (Rocky Mountain News)

Give An Inch, They'll Take A Mile

The Taliban (Islamic terrorists) have just proven what I've been saying all along. You can't afford to "talk" to them. The only thing they want is to "take over" and kill everybody in their way. That's what they're doing in Afghanistan after the new government agreed to lessen the sanctions and control over their activities. Now they're in a "resurgence" provided by the weak actions of the new government. I guess the old president better "Get out while the getting is good" because I'm sure he'll be at the front of their "kill list" when they take over again. And they will, as long as this new government is as weak as it has shown itself to be thus far. "TALIBAN LEADER THREATENS BEHEADINGS." And this is the outfit that wants to "rule" in Afghanistan. This is just a bunch of thugs who figure if they are the "legal government" of Afghanistan, nobody can "come after them." So they threaten to behead innocent people for nothing more than to make a point. Somebody needs to go in and kill all of them in the most painful way possible. (USA Today)

AlGore's Swindle Paying Off Big...For Al

It's the "big payoff" AlGore envisioned when he started this "global warming" swindle and actually does nothing to reduce carbon emissions. What it DOES is put a lot of money in his, and other people's pockets while making people "feel good" about themselves. Gore himself is using 10% more energy this year than last, even though he has made several changes, ostensibly to reduce his own emissions. He's just, in the words of the Terminator, "blowing smoke" to the nation while he and his friends "coin the dough." You may not know that Gore owns a big piece of one of the biggest companies selling "carbon credits." What does buying carbon credits actually DO to reduce "carbon emissions?" Not a single thing. But people are not "trading" carbon credits" on a market much like the stock market. Don't buy this swindle. Don't "go green." Those who do are ignorant and Gore will be glad to take your money.
