The FBI (probably after a "suggestion" from Chuckie Schumer) is now "investigating" IndyMac for fraud (as if that might have been the cause of the bank's failure), to deflect attention from Chuckie's involvement in STARTING the multi-million dollar run that really caused it (Which he vehemently denies). They already had a handle on the unsecured loans the government pressured them to make, but when Chuckie publicly "wondered" about how strong they were, he CREATED the run that killed them. But he doesn't want you to know that, so now the FBI is "going through the motions" of an "investigation." They might even FIND some fraud, which had nothing to do with the bank's failure, but that's not the purpose of the "investigation." (CBS News)

Who's To Blame for Everything?

George Bush. That's Nancy Pelosi's opinion. "Everything bad is George Bush's fault." Even if the "problem" had nothing to do with him, it's his fault. What is she going to do when Bush is out of office and can't be blamed for everything bad? This woman, who is called "the worst speaker in House history" shows her ignorance every time she opens her mouth. How do people like this get into positions of power? Scams and schemes and people who "don't pay attention to politics" and are thus gullible enough to "buy" the bull manure she spouts. I'd be glad to see her leave but for one thing: we'll probably get someone just as ignorant to replace her when she goes. (Ann Coulter)

"We Can't Drill Our Way Out of This!"

That's the Democrat mantra on how to "solve" the fuel price crisis, usually followed by a pitch for the use of "alternative fuels" that have yet to be proven. Meanwhile they chant "It'll take at least ten years for this to show any results," so we shouldn't even TRY it. What if we'd have done what they decry TEN YEARS AGO? We'd be seeing results NOW! So if it won't show results for ten years we should ignore it? How many years will it take for THEIR ideas to work, if ever? The fact is, we CAN "drill our way out of this." How the hell do they think we GET all the oil we are using today? By DRILLING for it, that's how! Even their EXCUSES make no sense! But they think they do. (Just common sense)

Durbin Wants More Power

He, like all liberals, thinks he is smarter than the "average citizen" and wants to be able to "control" oil speculators, whom he mistakenly (purposely) blames for the high gasoline and oil prices to keep us from realizing that he, along with his "environmental crazy" friends are the ones REALLY responsible with their ban on offshore drilling and the regulations that have made it impossible to build a new oil refinery in the United states while they're allowing ETHANOL refineries to be built by the hundreds. If you can't allow one kind of a refinery to be built, why another? The answer is because the ethanol refineries fit into their preconditions. The oil refineries don't. (Café Hayek)

He Says He Didn't Kill Her

As usual, this Islamic terrorist (who came to Israel to kill, maim, and kidnap) blames the Israelis for her death, saying she was killed by the Israelis when they tried to rescue her, both accusing them of murder AND incompetence. But they're going to "turn him loose" to kill more Israelis, so they can get a few of their own back. In other words, kidnapping works for the Palestinians. This bloody murderer will now be free and we will no doubt hear his name again in connection with bloody murders of innocent people (Maybe they can watch him closely and kill him this time when they catch him in the act of killing innocents instead of putting him in prison). It's too bad her father wasn't armed when this man and others broke into their home on a killing rampage. Maybe he would, instead, be dead, instead of being released to kill again. (Yahoo News)

What is WRONG With These People?

Everybody wants to blame everybody BUT the ones responsible for the high fuel prices. They blame "speculators," who do nothing to affect prices and make money whether the prices go up OR down as long as they guess right; they blame "big oil," who have nothing to do with setting prices, and are as much of a victim as we are--except they get to "pass it on.". Anybody but those who ARE responsible. Sure; the oil companies are making money anyway. But the GOVERNMENT is making MORE money, without ANY investment. No time, no money, nothing. But they make more PROFIT from fuel prices that the fuel providers do, after the fuel companies deduct the cost of bringing it to market. The GOVERNMENT created this problem by BANNING oil exploration and drilling in most of America and making it almost IMPOSSIBLE to build new oil refineries. Consequently, there have been NONE built in more than 30 years! Meanwhile, they've allowed the building of HUNDREDS of ETHANOL refineries. Why? Because they LIKE Ethanol and hate oil. Meanwhile, we suffer, and they blame EVERYTHING on George Bush, the only president in recent years who is not afraid to DO something about our problems instead of just TALKING about them.
