Shutting Down the Opposition

If Obama is so "squeaky clean," why does he constantly try and "shut down" people who come out with "telling" facts against him? [Sounds like Bill Clinton. -RT] Hugh Hewitt says, "The Bill Ayers-Barack Obama connection is much deeper and more significant than either Obama or the MSM has allowed. [Is anybody surprised? -RT] Analyst Stanley Kurtz is digging into the previously closed papers on the Annenberg Project at the University of Illinois, and last night the Obama forces tried to shut down Kurtz's conversations about his preliminary findings, just as Team Obama tried to get the department of Justice to shut down a 527 running an ad about Obama-Ayers. Think the Obama people are nervous about Ayers? Perhaps they realize that America isn't going to like a presidential nominee who is buddy buddy with an unrepentant terrorist." Obama has a much more than one-time meeting association with unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers. It's NOT "guilt by association." It is an association lasting YEARS and shows Obama's way of thinking that hr remains friends with Ayers. I personally don't want ANYBODY who maintains a friendship with a KNOWN terrorist (who got away with it) as president. Especially one who, even BWFORE he is elected (If, in fact he is) tries to "shut people down" when they try and tell the truth about him. (Hugh Hewitt)

Still Buying the Socialist Bulldroppings

A caller to a talk show asked if it "wouldn't be a good thing" to take more money from those who made more than $250,000 a year and give it to those who don't (pure socialism). Why he casn't see how evil this is, I don't know. It must be because he's been taught the "socialist lie" all the way through school and doesn't know any better. Giving money to those "drones" of society will "sap" the incentive from society and soon there will BE no more people making that much money for them to steal from for the benefit of the "drones." ARE WE "Addicted to Oil?"

Are YOU "addicted to fire? Fire is an absolute NECESSITY to life. What about water? The discovery of fire and how to make it caused a "sea change" in how we lived. So did the original discovery of "fossil oil." Whale oil just did not do the job, and required the killing of whales, something environmentalists (extremists and otherwise) don't like, and never have. Obama has promised to "get us off the oil standard in ten years." what ignorance that displays! Does he realize how that would affect our way of life? It would put us back at least 100 years, even if he could do it without a revolution. We are NOT "addicted" to oil, no more than we are "addicted" to fire or water. The liberals like to say it will take "MORE than ten years to realize any benefit" from drilling domestically. So why didn't they allow domestic drilling TEN YEARS AGO? How long will it take before we realize any benefit from their pipedreams, such as "wind power," "sun power," and "corn power (Ethanol)?" We know oil WORKS. We DON'T know their pipe dreams will work, so why are we rejecting something we KNOW works in favor of something that is still largely a "pipe dream?" They're claiming that oil companies have "millions of acres" of oil leases they own in America, but they aren't "working them." Why aren't they working them? Mostly because of the onerous "regulations" environmental crazies have been able to put on them. Not to mention the fact that most of these vaunted "oil leases" aren't worth a damn. There isn't any "economically recoverable" oil there. (Translation: oil they can make a profit from bringing up) Yes, I know "profit" is a "dirty word" to a liberal (Democrat). But it is profit that makes this world work, whether liberals like it or not, even for communist countries like China, who must make a profit in world markets, even if they don't allow their people to do so.). Socialism does not produce a profit. Capitalism does. Why are the Democrats (liberals) doing everything they can to destroy the oil companies? (Charles Anderson/The Atlasphere)

Hatred of Free Markets

The "haters of free markets" are very angry. Angry because they have not been allowed to "vet" the new Milton Friedman Institute." That's like allowing the cat to "vet" the mouse. They're afraid Freidman's free market ideas will show them for the idiots they are; and they're right. They're worried about "academic freedom" if ideas other than their pipe dreams are taught. Seems like telling "both sides" and letting the students decide logically who is right IS "academic freedom. They say it will "make the public PERCIEVE that they 'lack intellectual and ideological diversity'." And they're right, It WILL show that this is true. So what's wrong with that? (Common Sense)

Profit Hatred

“ 'Behind every great fortune, there is a crime.' Balzac’s famous quotation is quite likely an accurate description of the economic climate of authoritarian 19th Century France. But as any fan of Ayn Rand’s novels--and indeed the American dream in general--can attest, a great many fortunes can be, and often are, made quickly and ethically when people are left to pursue their own interests via free enterprise. Warren Buffet and Linus Torvalds are two among millions of examples, here. It’s only the insecure, the 'second-handers,' the inferior producers of inferior products--the Peter Keatings and Orren Boyles of the world--that need to create and maintain their wealth by unethical means." (Kimberly Wingfield on "The Atlasphere") One of their unethical means in Ayn Rand's monumental work, "Atlas Shrugged," was "Directive 10-289," something that would be patently unconstitutional in the real world (but which was excellently illustrative), demanded that big business have a "moratorium on brains" and give others time to "catch up." The only problem is, the people this directive was designed to help would NEVER "catch up" without help from the government, to limit competition. And that's what today's liberals are trying to do, to gain power. The new tactic the "second-hander" businessmen are using (with government help) is the "FDA Globalization Act of 2008," which basically creates a $2,000 "fee" that all cosmetology companies (big or small) must pay the government in order to be in business. What the government promises to do in return for this "fee" isn't known. The last I heard, new "fees" should be supported by promises to help the industry involved. Not this one. A "fee" of this size guarantees fewer "start-ups" in the cosmetics business, just as a similar fee would have made it impossible for me to start my own business. The big companies won't have any trouble paying this and passing it on to their customers. It's the "little guy" who will be hurt the most while the businesses who promoted this unfair law will benefit when these small businesses go out of business (or never start) because the government just took away a big part of their profit while making it impossible for others to even start business. Hear that "giant sucking sound?" (Stolen from Ross Perot) It's the government sucking more money out of people's pockets. There is no good reason for this "fee," except to limit competition for those who have "pull" in Washington. Have you heard about this "Act" in the liberal media? I thought not. Obama Wants to RAISE Gasoline Prices!

As do all liberals, who think if gas prices are too high, we'll use less of it. "In his new bestseller, The Case Against Barack Obama, [David] Freddoso points out that Obama lamented in mid-June that high gasoline prices have hurt Americans. But Obama supports carbon caps and carbon taxes--environmental controls that are designed to intentionally increase prices at the pump. The idea is to make gasoline more expensive so that people use less of it and emit less carbon. Obama also eagerly embraces ethanol as a key solution to our energy crisis, adds Freddoso, but experts agree that ethanol will lead to much higher food prices, without providing real energy relief." Further, Ethanol couldn't save people ANY money at the pump without government subsidy, support they won't offer to oil-based gasoline. In fact, they think offering a subsidy to oil-based gasoline is "evil." It's pretty obvious where their bias is. (Just common sense)

Party Unity, My Sore Rear End!

There will NEVER be "party unity" in the Democrat Party unless, or until Hillary gets the presidency. When she goes before the Democrat Convention and tells her delegates to vote for Obama, they KNOW she's lying. They put it many ways to "spin" it, but no one knows HOW they're going to vote. Personally, I expect her delegates to try and steal the nomination when the obligatory vote on HER nomination comes up. I can only hope she doesn't win if she does get the nomination. I don't want this country to be "Evitaized (socialized)." (David Limbaugh)

As Usual, Pelosi Lies

She says "The 'doctors' of the Church" themselves can't decide when conception begins." She's have done better to follow Obama's lead and say "That's above my pay grade," or "I don't know." Then she wouldn't have gotten her head handed to her by Denver Archbishop Charles Chaput where he quoted in part a Lutheran minister saying, in part, "Destruction of the embryo in the mother's womb is a violation of the right to live which God has bestowed on this nascent life. To raise the question whether we are here concerned already with a human being or not is merely to confuse the issue. The simple fact is that God certainly intended to create a human being and that this nascent human being has been deliberately deprived of his life. And that is nothing but murder." (Hugh Hewitt)

Will Hillary Steal the Nomination?

She will if she can. I'd "bet the farm" that she will attempt to get the nomination at the convention by trying to show the delegates she is the better candidate. She knows it's her last chance to become president this time around, and she's going to do everything she can, overhanded or underhanded, legal or illegal to accomplish it. She still thinks the presidency is hers by "right of succession and that Obama is "just san upstart." This article by one of her former friends and advisers is very insightful. (Dick Morris)

Obama's Selection "Same Ol' Same Ol' "

The same man, Joe Biden, who recently flatly said, "he (Obama) is not ready to be president." The man who has been in the Senate the second-longest time; who is "gaffe-prone." Choosing Biden shows that Obama is NOT "a man for change," but is a man for "the same ol' same ol'." I feared for his LIFE if he chose Hillary for vice-president, but apparently he "dodged that bullet." But JOE BIDEN? Joe is a proven loser. He once said, "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy." He's also the one who made the racist remark about not being able to go into a 7-11 without an Indian accent. Not to mention his plagiarism. He lost the presidential race before, and the vice-president race once before. This his second time as a vice-presidential nominee (couldn't Obama find someone NEW?). He, and his boss will go "crashing down to defeat" this time, too; and not soon enough for me. I've never questioned his patriotism, but always his judgment. I don't think he has any. He's an "empty suit" run by the Democrat "puppet-masters." The web site linked below is not necessarily a conservative OR a liberal site (to my knowledge), but their samples of Biden's LACK of qualification to be vice-president, OR even a Senator, are telling. Obama Will Bankrupt Us!

You don't have to believe me. He'll tell you himself. Just look at all the "tax and spend" proposals he has talked about: doubling the capital gains rate; letting Bush's tax reductions (which significantly INCREASED the "tax take" by encouraging INVESTMENT in jobs and tax-creating projects) expire, which will raise taxes on all Americans by BILLIONS of dollars! And that's not all! I can't even remember all the "tax and spend" programs he has told us he wants to inflict upon us. Is that what you want? Then vote for Obama and you'll get it. He has PROMISED it to you! (News Max)

The Democrat Myth of "Lost Manufacturing"

Democrats constantly barrage us with lies about the "manufacturing losses" we've been suffering under the Republicans. But the facts don't support their contentions. "U.S. manufacturing revenues (adjusted for inflation) reached their all-time high in 2006. 2006 was also a peak year for inflation-adjusted manufacturing profits in the U.S. and for inflation-adjusted U.S. manufacturing exports. And the U.S. accounts for the largest share of the globe's manufacturing output; Americans today produce 2.5 times more manufactured goods than do the Chinese." [See here.] Does that support their contention? Notice that any reductions have come SINCE 2006, the year the Democrats took control of Congress. Yeah, right! The Republicans are bankrupting us, aren't they? (Café Hayek)

Liberal Press Fixated on Conservatives

The national (liberal) press is now leaning heavily on the "fact" that the man who killed two people in a Kentucky church was "motivated" by his "conservative principles" when he went in and started shooting people at random in that church. They don't actually SAY "conservative principles," but they DO "say it by innuendo" when they emphasize that he "didn't like their liberal ideas." Of course, this loser isn't ANY kind of a real conservative. He's a "loser" who was angry because he couldn't seem to find a job. I'd say ANYBODY who can't find a job in this society either isn't looking hard enough, or in the right places, or he has something wrong with him, making him unemployable. I suspect we'll find out it's the latter as we get more and more information. (WBKO)

Petroleum Industry Trying to Destroy the Economy?

How stupid is this? What the hell would the oil industry possibly gain from destroying the economy of one of its biggest markets? This is an example of the "faulty thinking" you see in some of the liberal blogs across the country. If you're "paying attention," you can see through this kind of thing. If you're not, you'll probably "buy" their ranting. (News & Record Blog)

To Destroy the Economy

Cause oil prices to go so high people can no longer afford to drive their cars by BANNING drilling anywhere the United States runs things. Then make building new oil refineries almost impossible by forcing those who wish to build them to "jump through so many hoops" it becomes cost-prohibitive so no new oil refineries will be built in more than thirty years while DEMAND for oil grows apace, forcing us to depend on people who HATE us for a large percentage of our oil. Then offer many different "alternative power sources" such as "wind power" and Ethanol (corn-based gasoline) that, so far, do not work, either effectively OR economically, and won't do so for ten or more years. Then allow the building of HUNDREDS of new ETHANOL refineries to be built by "relaxing" those onerous "hoops" oil producers must "jump through" to build theirs. Soon, ALL prices will be so high that nobody will be able to pay them, the businesses who depend on them to exist will "go under," stop paying the high taxes liberals require, and there will be no more money for the liberals to steal from those who EARN it to give to those who DON'T. Do this, all the while promoting that useless, unworkable (in the long haul) socialist (collectivist) system you've been taught all your life is the best way to go (whether it is or not), in spite of the fact it has FAILED every time it has been tried (in the long haul). This is how you destroy the economy. Evita Peron did it in Argentina and the liberals (mostly led by Hillary and Obama, are trying to do it here. (Just common sense)
