Making It a "Federal Case"

The Federal government is going into the business of eradicating bedbugs, something that has already been almost completely eliminated by the private enterprise need to protect their customers and also themselves from suits. They're going to spend $50 million dollars to interfere in what should be a STATE responsibility. Seems to me there is written somewhere (I can't seem to remember where . . .) that the feds have NO power they aren't specifically GIVEN by the citizens, and I'm sure "bedbug control" isn't on that list. They say it's not a joke. I disagree. I think it is, and I needed a good laugh. (Common Sense)

Widening the Problem

The liberals aren't satisfied with rising gasoline costs. They want us to be miserable at the dinner table as well--and everywhere else. "Anyone with an ounce of brains would have realized that diverting crops from food to fuel use would raise the prices of corn-fed livestock, such as pork, beef, chicken and dairy products, and products made from corn, such as cereals. Ethanol production has led to increases in other grain prices, such as soybean and wheat. Since the U.S. is the world’s largest grain producer and exporter, higher grain prices have had a huge impact on food prices worldwide." And then there is the marked increase in shipping costs caused by increasing gasoline prices, which has caused the price of EVERYTHING to rise, as well, since everything we consume must be shipped. In addition to that, we're starting to see airlines going out of business or declaring Chapter 11 or Chapter 7 bankruptcy because they can't pay their bills (Chapter 11 allows them to stay in business while making plans to pay; Chapter 7 means "it's all over.") As this problem mushrooms into everybody's life, the liberals are on a five-week paid vacation while still opposing what can relieve the problem. (Atlasphere)

The Myth of a "Bad Economy"

The liberals have been trying for years to convince us "we're in the worst economy in 20 years" while the numbers make them liars (of course they forget that part of that 20 years was under a Democrat president)  Yes, we're in "a rough patch," caused mostly by the Democrats (liberals) opposing every attempt to drill for oil in America, while making it impossible to build a gasoline refinery here for more than 30 years while they move us ever closer to socialism (and if you don't know what socialism is, and why it's bad for us, PLEASE look it up). But we'll survive, as we've survived other "rough patches" also caused by the liberals (Democrats). They do this simply to buy votes from those they have convinced to "ignore politics because one person can't affect it anyway" and are thus ignorant of the facts. (The American)

To Put Out a Fire, Douse it With Gasoline!

That's pretty much as logical as what Obama is promoting. He wants to subsidize CONSUMPTION (giving everybody #1,000 to buy gas) while further taxing to reduce PRODUCTION (paying for the $1,000 with an "excess profits tax" on the oil industry). How stupid is THIS? Seems like every word out of this man's mouth displays his ignorance. (The Beacon News)

"Drilling Won't Solve the Fuel Price Problem?"

How stupid is that comment? That's the "liberal line" whenever anybody suggests domestic oil drilling. Then they say we should "open up the Strategic Petroleum Reserve" and put 700 million barrels of oil into the market. Aside from the fact that this isn't going to do much, I'd ask, along with Chuck Norris, "How did we get that 700 million barrels?" We drilled for it, didn't we? So how can anybody with any intelligence at all say we "can't drill our way out of the 'fuel crunch'?"  I really hate it that we have such ignorant people representing us in Congress. Worse, that not enough people realize how ignorant they are to get rid of them. They keep re-electing these bozos to important office while they continue to do things that cost us all a lot of money and freedom. What is WRONG with these people? More importantly, what is wrong with those who continue voting them back into office time after time, even after they've proven their stupidity over and over? (Chuck Norris)

It's RUSH Time!

It's Rush Limbaugh's 20th anniversary in AM radio, after all the "powers that be" (most of whom are now out of radio) said a talk radio show on AM radio when most conservatives were at work was NOT the way to riches. I've gotten some nasty mail in the past when I praised Rush Limbaugh from people who just don't know who their friends are. But I'm gunna do it ennyway. Liberals thought he was finished when he was caught abusing prescription drugs because of the immense pain he was in because of a back problem, but he "weathered" that storm and proved them wrong again. He built the biggest single part of his audience BEFORE Bill Clinton came along, but liberals STILL say he's nothing without a Bill Clinton to criticize. Liberals have proven themselves wrong about him, and other things so often, is has become a "resume enhancer" to be wrong, especially about Rush Limbaugh. It is Rush Limbaugh who is responsible for me doing what I'm doing today--albeit not on his level. It was listening to him and seeing his conservative audience grow that convinced me that those telling the truth had a chance. If I had thought of it, I'd have dedicated my recently published book, "What's WRONG in America" to him, but I forgot. Rush Limbaugh is a "national treasure," for sure. Even if even some of our supposed "conservatives" don't agree. I don't agree with all of his OPINIONS, but I've never caught him in a lie. Long live Rush! Long live AM talk radio! (Ann Coulter)

This is How You Scam the People

Senator Charlie Rangel has the government paying $777 a month to lease a Cadillac so his constituents will think "he's somebody." I guess that's what he thinks  "being somebody" is, driving a Cadillac. Meanwhile, he's "beating the bushes" to build a $30 million dollar monument to . . .himself. Now, if that isn't the heights of conceit, I don't know what is. I might also add that he helped immeasurably to get the lowest rating ever for his Congress. Now THAT'S an accomplishment. They ought to put a statue of a pig in front of "his" edifice, showing everybody what a good provider of "pork" he is. (Common Sense)

The Urge to Vomit

Everything that comes out of Barack Obama's mouth makes me want to vomit. Not because he's half black (why should I have to add that?), but because he's entirely socialist. That means he's in favor of TAKING an ever-increasing part of what I EARN and give it to the "drones of society" who do not, or will not earn for themselves. There's a long list of other politicians who make me want to vomit. Hillary is high on that list, and not because she's a woman (aarrgggh!). Jared Polis in Colorado is on that list. I turn off the sound whenever one of his lying commercials comes on. They're ALL socialist liberals. They ALL get "mad as hell" whenever someone accuses them of being socialists, but all you have to do is examine critically what they propose (or what laws they support if they're "in power" already) to see their socialist tendencies. (The American Thinker)
