Re-Aiming the Blame

They're using the old dogma first brought out by Hitler's PR man that "if you tell a lie, make it big enough and complicated enough, it will come to be believed as if it were truth, and those who believe it will FIGHT you if you deny it." Obama, for instance, is blaming the "economy crunch" on the Republicans, and secondly, on the "financial institutions." The government is "taking over" a large number of mortgages for a small part of their value, and they full well expect to make a profit doing it. Meanwhile, they will be the "landlord" (a word actually used by Barney Frank, one of the "architects" of the scheme to swindle billions of dollars out of the American public, and who is in the forefront of the work to "cure" the problem) of those who are suffering. Obama says if we DON"T make a profit, he'll "lay a tax" on the financial institutions to make THEM pay for the "bailout." in other words, he's DETERMINED to make a profit on the woes of those who couldn't pay it back, but who were loaned the money anyway, on pain of law. Meanwhile it's the "mantra" of the liberals (Democrats) that this "is the culmination of eight years of the Bush administration and it's policies" when in the REAL world, it is the result of FIFTY years of DEMOCRAT policies!

This is just "phase two" of the swindle the Democrats perpetrated on the American public. And it's only one swindle. The "gas crunch" is another. In that one, they put so many roadblocks in the way of domestic refineries that NOT ONE has been built in more than 30 years. At the same time, they prevented (by law) domestic drilling, therefore GUARANTEEING a reduction in domestic oil supply and our dependence on foreign oil. Now they're being asked to "do something" to solve THAT problem. You can bet that while they're making you think they are trying, it's going to cost you a LOT of money while giving THEM more and more CONTROL over the industry. Now they're blaming it on the oil industry to divert us from even THINKING they're responsible; but those of us who PAY ATTENTION know the truth about who is REALLY to blame, and why they did it. There are way too many swindlers who have gotten themselves into positions of power in government, where people don't dare accuse them, and if they do, they're not believed. I think it's funny that when I Googled "government swindlers," I got 185,000 hits, the gist of most of which were that GOVERNMENT must "protect us" from swindlers. Very little about government itself being the swindler. What a laugh, when the GOVERNMENT is the biggest swindler of all! (Just common sense)

Obama's Flat-Out Lie

We all know he lies more often than he tells the truth. But usually the lie isn't as easy to prove as this one: "During Friday night's presidential debate, Barack Obama claimed that one of John McCain's advisers, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, supported his view that the U.S. president should meet with Iran's president and other rogue dictators without preconditions. But that was a lie, and Kissinger called him on it. "Do you think the liberal press will "make a big thing" pout of it as they would if McCain was caught in a lie? Don't hold your breath unless blue is a good color for you. (News Max)

They're Confident

The Democrats are supremely confident they're going to "screw up" in the next two years and give the 2008 elections to the Republicans. At least that's what Lloyd Garver thinks, and he said so on the CBS web site: "I think the Republicans set the whole thing up so the Democrats could fail over the next two years, which will bring about a big Republican presidential win in 2008. Would that this were true. It'd be stupid, but it does demonstrate a strange confidence, on the part of a liberal newsman, that the Democrats will "screw things up royally." He said this was a "scam" to get Bush 41 another term as president. If it works, look for Bill Clinton to be a candidate in 2012 and beyond. (CBS)

EVERYTHING is "Racist"

Obama thinks he can dictate what people say, or even what they make fun of in this election. He has a long list of things we mustn't discuss, and another of words we can't use regarding him OR his running mate. Mallard, as usual, makes a joke of it, but there is always more than a "kernel" of truth in a joke--and in this case it's more than a "kernel." (Mallard Fillmore)

Chavez: "America Can't Solve Its Financial Crisis

Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez thinks he knows it all, but in the "real world" he can't tell the difference between his rear end and a hole in the ground. Hugo can't even solve his OWN problems, let alone criticize the U. S. Yes, he is "big" in the oil business. But he wouldn't be ANYWHERE in the oil business if American oil interests had not built the oil industry in his country for him to steal. And steal it he did when he "nationalized" the oil industry in his country. "Nationalization" is just a "code word" for thievery that is used when a COUNTRY does it, rather than an individual. Since an individual can't "nationalize" anything, that word is used to mean "theft" of an industry by a "sovereign nation. When Chavez comes up with an answer to our problems that works, let him talk. Until then, he's just showing his ignorance and should shut up. (Reuters)

It's NOT Capitalism!

Again, they're trying to blame the economic problems on capitalism, when in the REAL world, it is GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION and bad government policies and laws that were responsible, then and now. Katrina Vanden Heuvel and Eric Schlosser are trying to convince us that capitalism was responsible for the great depression and that the government "solved it." Not true. They even admit that government intervention was responsible for some of our problems (But they were responsible for ALL of our problems in the real world). It really amazes me how liberals like this think they can "change history" and get us to "buy it." I guess they think all their efforts to "put us to sleep" have been successful. Maybe they have. Media's Amazing Ignorance

I'm amazed at the level of complete ignorance and gullibility the media displays (even Fox). They're now asking if the CEOs of the large financial "institutions" are going to go to prison, and why they (many of them) are still getting their "golden parachute. The answer is simple: it's not their fault. They're getting only what the companies agreed to. What caused this "financial breakdown" was the ORDERS given them by the GOVERNMENT under the "Community Reinvestment Act of 1997," passed by the Democrat Congress and signed by Bill Clinton. This act REQUIRED them to make loans, regardless of a person's ability to repay or face "investigation and sometimes prison" (Janet Reno's threat). They were OBEYING THE LAW! They are the VICTIMS! I'm not even an economist and I can see that. And the economists who are sane agree with me. Only "Keynsian economists" don't (Keynes thought government spending more than it took in was a good thing).

They're talking now of an FBI investigation into the "AIG situation (but will they look in the right direction?)," as if the government taking them over was THEIR fault. It was not. It was the culmination of years and years of bad Democrat decisions and policies that Bush tried TWELVE TIMES to reverse. But every time he tried, Democrats Barney Frank and Chris Dodd and others BLOCKED him. Obama says the "meltdown" is the result of eight years of Bush's policies. It is NOT. That's a LOAD. It is the result of many more years of irresponsible DEMOCRAT policies "coming home to roost," as the "gas crunch" is the result of many years of DEMOCRAT bad policies. Yet they still try and blame Bush and the Republicans when they tried their best to correct the mistakes of the Democrats. My question now is this: why do they allow the very PERPETRATORS (Frank and Dodd and other Democrats) of the crisis to be in "the forefront" of the "bailout circus? Is CLINTON going to go to prison? How about all the Democrats who contributed to the fiasco? I doubt it, because they control the means of prosecution. (L. A. Times)

Some "Friend"

"ORLANDO, Fla. —  A teenager who mental health experts say wanted to become a serial killer was convicted Wednesday of luring his 14-year-old friend to a middle school bathroom and stabbing him to death in 2004." Looks like he won't realize his goal. Not if he gets either imprisoned for life or is put to death for his first murder (he's claiming insanity). It amazes me how some teenagers think. They actually think they can GAIN from killing people. Maybe that comes from the cheapening of life by the government itself suborning the murder of innocent, helpless, unborn infants. Today, the "average" sentence for killings (of all kinds) is THREE YEARS in prison. You just have to have the right lawyer. Look at O. J. He "beat the rap" in the murder of his wife and her boyfriend, but might "go down" for robbery and kidnapping for (he says) trying to get his own property back. A man who raped and murdered an elderly female friend of mine in Denver and left her to freeze to death in an alley is STILL sitting in jail (I hope) and nothing has been said about his trial. Maybe that's one of the bad things: that it takes so long to bring the killers to trial, people (except the victim and her family) forget about it. (Fox News)

"Not So Fast," Says Congress

The very people who CREATED the "economic crisis" we're in now are now demanding "oversight" (translation: "control") over the "solution." They want "oversight" over whatever new bureaucracy is created to "deal" with the "crisis" so they can make sure of two things: One, that no DEMOCRAT is ever found to be "at fault" and punished; and, two: that the bucks keep coming into their bank accounts. It's "crystal clear" that the DEMOCRATS CAUSED the current economic crisis by actually making LAWS (signed by Bill Clinton) that FORCED "financial institutions" to make loans to people who could NOT pay them back (thus CAUSING the "meltdown"), to avoid "investigations" and prosecution for "redlining (which was threatened by Janet Reno)." "Redlining" is a charge difficult to defend against because it's so hard to DEFINE "redlining." If they refuse TWO loans to people who live in a certain area, they can be accused of "redlining." The fact that people who cannot repay those loans all tend to live close to each other adds credence to this phony-baloney "charge." It's not where they live, but their inability to repay those mortgages that causes their rejection. But Democrat Congressmen can't (or won't) see that. House Financial Services Committee Chairman Rep. Barney Frank (he of the gay brothel in his basement, run by his boyfriend, and who blocked ALL efforts to "clean up" Fannie and Freddie) is in the forefront of the demand for "oversight." Yet he is largely responsible for the problem. Are we going to put "the fox in charge of security in the hen house?" Maybe, if you want the theft of millions, even BILLIONS of your dollars to continue without a single politician being punished. (MSNBC)

McCain "Involved" in SNL Scandal?

Yes. He was. In the sense that he was the only Republican “involved,” and he was EXONERATED. But MSNBC doesn’t tell you that in their piece this last week, entitled. “McCain Gets Free Ride.” This is the typical way liberal media giants twist the news to suit their liberal wishes and support their socialist theses. The only way McCain was “involved” was because Democrats WANTED him to be “involved” so they could SAY he was “involved” without mentioning that he was EXONERATED. This is the kind of thing that makes me more and more DIStrust the liberal media, and which is responsible for their dwindling reader-and viewership. But they’ll never realize this, and will violently attack you if you actually have guts enough to say it to their faces. “In February this year, on Fox News' "Hannity and Colmes," [Robert] Bennett (most famous for defending a certain horny hick president a few years ago) said, for the eight billionth time: ‘First, I should tell your listeners I'm a registered Democrat, so I'm not on (McCain's) side of a lot of issues. But I investigated John McCain for a year and a half, at least, when I was special counsel to the Senate Ethics Committee in the Keating Five. ... And if there is one thing I am absolutely confident of, it is John McCain is an honest man. I recommended to the Senate Ethics Committee that he be cut out of the case, that there was no evidence against him.’ " Unfortunately, nobody listened to him and didn’t “release” McCain until they HAD to. "Forced" Altruism

That’s a term I coined a few years ago after a reader criticized me for being “against altruism.” He was right. I’m NOT “against altruism” if it is MY decision to help someone in need. I will NOT be “forced” to do so. Apparently, Brian Schwartz feels the same way and he wrote an excellent letter to the editor of Boulder, Colorado’s “Daily Camera” on the subject. Here is an excerpt: “Would you call the police on someone who didn’t donate to a charity that you consider to be a ‘worthy cause’?  If not, then you should oppose County Issue 1B in this November’s election, which would extend the so-called ‘Worthy Cause’ sales tax.  This tax is immoral — regardless of how worthy the causes are. It is compulsory charity, or charity at gun-point. It is intolerant to people’s values and unfair to charities that must earn our donations. It undermines both the responsibility of donors and the accountability of non-profits that receive forced donations.” I couldn’t agree more. Would you go around your neighborhood asking your neighbors for money because “you need it?” No. But people keep electing socialists to office to do it for them. Need should NOT be a “demand” on the earnings of others. (Brian Schwartz/Daily Camera)

Farting on an Officer

Jose Cruz was pulled over Monday night on Route 60 in South Charleston for driving with his headlights off. Then it was discovered he was drunk. While being fingerprinted, he let a fart, which caused them to charge him with "battery on an officer" because it was so foul-smelling. I know this is not the first instance of a drunk driver farting while being processed, but it must have smelled awful, to prompt the cop to charge him with assault. Or it was merely an overreaction by the cop. I don't know. I didn't smell it. (Fox News)

Is Capitalism To Blame?

The Democrats (liberals) are telling you that capitalism "got us into this mess" when it was the irrational policies FORCED upon those financial institutions BY LAW that literally CREATED "this mess" by FORCING them A(by law) to loan money to people who could not repay it. This is a "recipe for disaster" and now they have the disaster they've created. And they're trying to blame it on capitalism so they can move us closer to socialism. It's THAT simple. They try and complicate things so you won't understand, but it IS that simple. Bush tried to stop this process 12 times, but each time Barney Frank and his accomplice, Chris Dodd (those who were CAUSING the problem) blocked it. (David Limbaugh)

Obama and Ayers

Did you know Barack Obama's first run for the Illinois State Senate was announced at the home of the man who ADMITTEDLY bombed the Pentagon (and beat the charge)? He worked with Ayers for years on the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), and remained on the board until 2001. The group poured more than $100 million into the hands of community organizers and radical education activists. This was the "brainchild" of this known American terrorist, and Obama, who has writte two books, strangely never mentioned his years on this project, nor its "idea man." I wonder why? He lyingly says he never had much connection with this man (Obama says Ayers is just "a guy who lives in my neighborhood," and "not somebody who I exchange ideas with on a regular basis.") , but this CAC (in which Obama was a "full partner" with Ayers) shows us the truth.(Wall Street Journal)

Sowell On the "Political Solution"

Karl Marx said, "Crack-brained meddling by the authorities" can "aggravate an existing crisis" this is the situation we find ourselves in now with "authorities" wanting to "throw" $700 billion dollars at the "financial crisis" CAUSED by liberal politicians (who all want "oversight" over that money). Maybe it'll work, but more probably it won't. Thomas Sowell says, " Taking an optimistic view, this biggest bailout of all time may stop the problems in financial markets from spreading into the general economy-- which is currently nothing like the disaster area that the media portray it to be (they are PRONE to portraying it badly). Ninety percent of the people on this planet would exchange their economic situation for ours in a minute. The media love hype, and have been dying to use the word 'recession' all year but nothing has happened that meets the definition of a recession." That's even with all the "financial upheavals." He further says, "The American economy is growing, not declining. Our unemployment rate is up to 6 percent but there are countries that would be delighted to get their unemployment rate down to 6 percent. Our inflation rate is up a little but many countries would love to get their inflation rate down to where ours is. Why then is there such a mess in the financial markets? Much of that mess is due to the very people we are now turning to for solutions-- members of Congress." It is THEIR "crack-brained meddling" that CAUSED this mess we're in now. Why then, does anybody seriously consider giving them "oversight?" Throw the bums out! Find someone like Sowell to put in their place (IF he'd take it.).  (Thomas Sowell)
