Political Correctness Run Amok

After former Gunny Sgt. Marc Nieto's son was killed by Islamic terrorists who bombed the USS Cole, he started carrying  anti-terrorist decals on his car. He works as a fireman on a marine base at Camp LeJune, and was soon given a ticket for "displaying offensive material" on his car. Funny; they haven't enforced this rule for the last five years, and allow other decals I would judge as "offensive" on base. The Thomas More Law center is suing the marines for this action. "The Law Center’s investigation revealed that numerous vehicles are permitted on the Base that display a variety of anti-Christian, sexual, commercial and personal messages." The marines then banned his vehicle from ALL military installations as long as the decals remain; which stops him from visiting the grave of his hero son and even going to work. How stupid is that to single out a genuine war hero who also lost his son to Islamic terrorists? Do they appreciate his sacrifices this little? As long as we refuse to even IDENTIFY our enemies, how can we effectively fight them off? If that had happened to me, you can BET I would not "shut up" about it! (The Thomas More Law Center)

Pro-Gay Judge

In Florida, an obviously pro-gay judge "struck down" Florida's law banning gay adoptions of innocent children. I will not say that gays have no business adopting innocent children because they might be wanting subjects under their control for sex with children. They might. But then they might not, and might have very innocent goals in mind. What I don't want is for them to teach these innocent children that "gay is okay." It might be. I don't know. But I don't want children taught this in a "home-style" situation. Parents ALWAYS teach their children their own values, without even thinking about it. And I don't think their values are good ones to teach innocent children who don't know any better. There was a time when being gay was a BAR to adopting. There was also a day when being SINGLE was a bar to adopting. Things have changed, and not necessarily for the better. Now you gays who take offense to what I'm saying don't bother to write me hate mail because I won't be listening. I'm not saying your lifestyle is WRONG. I just don't want it to be taught to innocent, helpless children (a "captive audience") who can't make an intelligent decision about it. The judge says "There's no rational reason not to allow gays to adopt." What a LOAD! I've just outlined the RATIONAL reason not to allow gays to adopt innocent children and teach them to be gay. Typical Doonesbury

In his Nov. 6 strip, he attempts to show the difference between his version of reality and Fox News reporting and INADVERTANTLY shows the truth. In the first two panels the new media whoops it up about all the celebrating in the Middle East over Obama's election, then they look at Fox, who is talking about "terrorist fist-bumps around the world." He apparently doesn't realize that his first two panels show the truth of what Fox is reporting. (Doonesbury)

"Decent Living?" Gimme A Break!

I spent 45 years as a professional sign painter and billboard pictorial artist and I would have been enraged if a guy who just "walked in off the street" with NO saleable talent or abilities was able to command as much money as I made after my years of training and experience. Somebody with NO ABILITIES is just NOT worth as much as is someone who worked hard to get where he/she is today. The auto worker unions are guilty of "browbeating" the auto makers in good times to agree to contracts that include such atrocities as $24 an hour for a FLOOR SWEEPER who HAS no abilities. Then to agree to pay people they've LAID OFF almost as much as they got paid to WORK for them! That's insanity! The whole reason for layoffs is because they can't AFFORD to pay them! And that's why they cannot make it without an infusion of cash. The only way to improve their profitability is to declare Chapter 11 bankruptcy and get RID of those onerous union contracts. It's the only way, and it won't happen if the "union-loving" Democrats "bail them out" (this time). The whole idea that people won't buy cars made by a company in bankruptcy is SILLY! It's a "cop-out!" (Just common sense)

Gore Lies, Again

"Despite record snows and low temperatures around the world last month, a major Al Gore supporter says October was the hottest on record. The only thing being cooked here is not the Earth, but the books." (They even admitted it, saying it was an "honest error" with one of their people putting in the results from the wrong month) And he expects us to believe it. Mostly because most people don't pay attention to politics and thus are IGNORANT of the facts. Funny; it doesn't FEEL hot. How Gore keeps fooling people about this, I don't know. Except for PROMOTING their ignorance and repeating the lie, over and over to anyone who will listen, as Hitler's PR guy said you should do to make a lie into the "truth." (IBD Editorials)

Crooks in Charge?

You wonder why there are never any meaningful investigations of Democrats, while ANYTHING a Republican does is "investigated" endlessly? There's a simple reason: the Democrats are in charge of the means of investigation and prosecution, so any "investigations" of Democrats will be a "dog and pony show" designed to convince us they are really DOING something while covering it up, like a cat in a sandbox. Meanwhile, ANY Republican indiscretion will be ":investigated" endlessly and if ANYTHING is found to actually be wrong, the Democrats will make the most of it. Like the congressman who made some foot and hand motions in a restroom that a biased policeman INTERPRETED as a "request for gay sex" (Which the Democrats don't care about unless it's a Republican doing it.. See Barney Frank) and conned him into signing a plea agreement as a means of "making it go away," then giving it to the press, while "censuring": (the dog and pony show) Democrat Representative Barney Frank (D-MA) for letting his gay boyfriend run a gay whorehouse out of his apartment. This is the kind of double standard there is in the Democrat Party. So why are we surprised that BILLIONS of dollars in illegal campaign contributions to Obama go uninvestigated while they go after those to McCain (true or not)? (IBD Editorials)

They May Not Call it That

But that's what it is;  "Washington, DC - November 5, 2008 - President Elect Barack Obama and the Democrat controlled Congress is considering sweeping legislation that will  provide new benefits for many Americans. The Americans With No Abilities Act. AWNAA is being hailed as a major legislative goal by advocates of the millions of Americans who lack any real skills or ambition.   'Roughly 50 percent of Americans do not possess the competence and drive necessary to carve out a meaningful role for themselves ..." Whatever they end up calling it, that's what it will be. A "bailout" for Americans With NO Abilities. That's what socialists want, no matter how good the words they use to describe it. They want to allow people wit NO abilities to be able to get a part of what people WITH abilities EARN with those abilities without having EARNED it. This article is a spoof, but it is based on truth. (FIRE Society/J. Coles)

Finally Gave Their Guns Back

New Orleans finally gave back the guns they stole under the cover of "cleaning up" after the hurricane. But they didn't do it on their own. They fought "tooth and nail" for THREE YEARS when the Second Amendment Foundation and the National Rifle Association sued them. They shouldn't have had to file this suit in the first place, to force New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin to follow the Constitution and allow his citizens to defend themselves against the ILLEGALLY armed criminals who don't OBEY laws. The "anti-gunners," including Nagin, are doing everything in their power to DISARM honest Americans and make of them "easy targets" for criminals. What makes them think a CRIMINAL, who doesn't OBEY laws, will not be armed if they make a law against it, I don't know. All I know is, like the Chinese and Japanese in history, we must find a way to "get around" their asinine anti-gun laws. The Orientals came up with "unarmed combat." The government couldn't stop them from having their arms, legs, feet, and other effective weapons. Can we find as effective a counter for the laws our liberals make to keep us disarmed and "easy pickins" for criminals (some of whom even wear badges)? (Common Sense)

"Repudiating" the GOP

The election did NOT tell us the electorate "liked" Democrats. What they did was "repudiate" the GOP because the GOP, in the person and under the direction of George Bush, did not answer the bogus "charges" the Democrats leveled at them. McCain actually REFUSED to answer most of the lies Obama told about him, including the one that said HE was "telling lies" about Obama. Most people voted for Obama because they just didn't know any better. They don't "pay attention to politics" until just before an election and tend to elect those who tell them the most believable lies (which is usually the Democrats). I'm "fed up" with the GOP too, but I don't see ANYBODY out there with any chance of being elected to ANYTHING, who are better. The GOP needs to start "standing up" for itself. Otherwise, we’ll be a socialist nation within the next four years. (Town Hall/Paul Jacob)

Taking Issue With Sarah

Sarah Palin made some "nasty cracks" about "bloggers" sitting in their mom's basement in their pajamas and "talking garbage" in comparison to the "mainstream media" that were uncalled for. Yes, I'm a blogger. Sometimes I might be sitting in my underwear in the basement (not my mom's, since she's long gone) but I DO "check my sources" and do my best to tell the truth and the whole truth, which most of the so-called ":mainstream media" does NOT. Nor do many bloggers on the liberal side. But she should not lump all bloggers together. There ARE some on BOTH sides who "go off half-cocked" on certain subjects, but the liberal media does it most of all. Some of us bloggers take it just as seriously as the IMAGE of the "mainstream media (an image which they do not live up to). We're not "silenced" by various liberal editors, since we're our own editors. We get to write the TRUTH, not what some editor sees as the truth (What's the difference between an editor and the writer anyway? Is the editor supposed to be more intelligent than the writer? If so, let the editor do the writing. Come to think of it, that's what bloggers do.). It's a minor thing, but important. I like Sarah. I think she'll make a fine president if she runs in 2012. I think she's the "future" of the Republican Party--or someone like her (If we can find anybody) But she does need to learn not to lump one group with another. (Just common sense)

It Infuriates Me!

But it doesn't surprise me that Christopher Dodd, one of the "architects" of the current economic slump, would say that "the auto industry problems are self-inflicted,: when anybody who pays attention knows they were "Dodd-inflicted." Yes, the auto industry agreed to union rules that required them to pay $24 an hour to FLOOR SWEEPERS (a lot more than I ever made in 45 years as a professional sign painter and billboard pictorial artist)! But they were still doing okay until Dodd's Scam erupted on the scene in an effort (successful) to get a radical socialist (Obama) elected to the presidency. Dodd has a lot of chutzpah to say this, but he always had a lot of chutzpah. He's one that needs to be seriously investigated and punished for his crimes, as he has insisted Bush needs to be for his (imagined) crimes. (Talk Radio News)

Back to Stupid

The other day I called to your attention a cartoon by Ed Stein that was "right on." But it didn't last long. The very next day he ran this one, "attacking" Focus on the Family for asking people to "boycott" stores that refuse to use the word "Christmas" and instead use "Season's Greetings." Funny thing is, he included, among the religions he would not exclude, religions that not only do NOT use the word "Christmas," in which this day commemorates the birth of Christ, they PROHIBIT it in countries they control, and try to in countries where they have influence. I think denying the use of "Christmas" to describe a day FOR Christmas is stupid. But then, Stein isn't too bright. He's an "elite liberal," isn't he? I'm not saying people who think of themselves as liberals are stupid. They're just ignorant. Ignorant comes from lack of information. Stupid comes from KNOWING the truth and denying it. People who "pay attention to politics" all the time, are not usually ignorant. Unfortunately, most do not until just a few weeks or months before an election. Thus, all they know is what those lying political ads (on both sides) tell them. If this is so, they have no business voting. (Ed Stein/Rocky Mountain News)
