Rewarding Failure (Again)

General Motors has already gone through the $9.6 BILLION dollars Obama GAVE them to “bail them out” from their failure. Now they want more. And they’ll probably get it because there are THOUSANDS of General Motors employees who fear being laid off after obligating themselves for more money than they can make anywhere else. My own brother-in-law, who has been a responsible man his whole life, is in danger of losing his job because of General Motors’ mismanagement. I hope it doesn’t happen. But just “giving them money” doesn’t solve their mismanagement problems. Lowering the taxes they have to pay will. Obama is raising taxes “on the rich” to “solve” the economy problem, but that won’t do it. As one congressman said, “There aren’t enough 'rich' to tax enough to pay for all he has spent.” He needs to face up to reality and lower the tax base again so that “the rich” will invest their money in projects that will create more taxable income and more jobs. It works every time it has been tried, but the have their “blinders” on with regard to reducing taxes. If they reduce taxes, then THEY cannot have control over how the money is spent; and it is the CONTROL they want. (Yahoo News/AP)

Told Ya so!

"Even before the ink was dry on the "stimulus (swindle) bill," the president and his deputies were hinting it may not work as promised." That sure sounds to me as if he is ready to swindle us out of more billions, or even trillions. Watch for another campaign of “We gotta do it NOW!” Designed to yet again con our representatives into signing yet another bill for big bucks they have not, or CANNOT read before the vote. And this is "just the beginning!" I’m watching him overreach himself time and time again, hoping even those who “don’t pay attention to politics” actually start paying attention so they can either vote him out in four years, or if he goes WAY too far, impeach him. Lying to Congress

Obama spent a long time the other night lying to Congress. But he won’t face any charges because (most of) Congress didn’t realize he was lying to them. Neither did “Obama lovers,” of which there are still many, including even my own nephew, who sat, listened, and nodded his head at every lie because he hasn’t been on this Earth long enough to understand how he is being conned. Even my other nephew was convinced, although he didn’t vote in the last election. My sister wants to see my “dissection” of Obama’s speech, but that’s not going to happen. “Dissecting” the speech, point by point, requires the listener understand the points I’m making, and if they don’t, my “dissection” will go right over their heads. They need to understand what socialism (collectivism) is, and how it is bad; how it will ruin their lives, and that of their descendants. If they want a country like Russia was under the “Union of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics” or under the Nazi “National SOCIALISTS” in Germany—or NOW under Hugo Chavez in Central America, let them continue to proudly “not pay attention to politics,” looking away while the government “picks their pockets.” My sister understands, but she isn’t yet ready to answer the scams of the liberals and their dupes. She isn’t yet familiar with their scams and schemes, used to divert arguments so they don’t have to actually ANSWER pertinent questions, but can win debates anyway. She doesn’t yet know how to answer their diversions and name-calling. At least, she knows not to vote for this “Hitler-like” cult personality who has mesmerized way too many people with his “double-talk.” (Just common sense)

Republicans Won

Even though the governor tried to “lock them up” until he got what he wanted. “Californians nearly woke up to a $14 billion tax hike Wednesday morning. That they didn't is a tribute to the state's GOP legislators, who refused a budget deal that would have wrecked the Golden State's economy." I expect them to mount a campaign to twist reality so as to blame Republicans for any budget reductions that come in the future, probably in the most important places. That’s how they scam their citizens. After such a vote, they predictably cut police and fire budgets, while continuing to fund such things as studying the sex life of the Tse-tse fly. Chavez Won

Yes, he won the election to get rid of “term limits” so he can now run for president as many times as he wishes. He hopes that means he will be “president for life.” But it doesn’t mean he must WIN those elections. If he does, the Vemnezuelans will have what they deserve: an “elected dictator.” It happened in Germany. That's how the world got Hitler. If he takes that to mean he has support to “take on” the United States in more ways than with his mouth, he'll learn the same lesson Hitler learned. Let him look out: he should not try and “wake a sleeping giant.” He can SAY what he wants and we might not do anything. But if he MOVES against us, we’ll make his presidential palace a “smoking ruin” in short order. Just as we will in Iran if Ahmanutjob doesn’t shut up. (IBD Editorials)

"A Republic--If You Can Keep It"

That was Benjamin Franklin’s answer when asked if we had a republic or a monarchy. Which means we have to be constantly vigilant, lest someone steal it from us--as Obama is doing today. He sold America on his “stimulus swindle” by telling us it was necessary to pass it into law NOW, without our representatives (who voted it in) even getting a chance to READ its 1,100 pages. When they do, they’ll find some interesting things: Such as $30 million to preserve the salt marsh harvest mouse; $650 million for digital converter boxes (something we wouldn’t need if they had not DECREED that we had to start broadcasting ONLY digitally immediately without "phasing it in" over a period of time) and $400 million to fund educational programs about sexually transmitted diseases (which are adequately funded elsewhere). Then it provided Austin, Texas with a Frisbee park; Shreveport, Louisiana with three aquatic centers, complete with water slides; and Chula Vista, California with a new leash-free dog park.

Is THIS your idea of things to “stimulate” the economy? No; it is a number of “pork projects” the Democrats couldn’t get passed before, so they stuck it in this swindle package. Other things they have in the works are: controlling the Census, and with it congressional redistricting (to create more Democrat elected officials), more spending bills and higher taxes, expanded powers with labor unions through Card Check ( getting rid of secret ballots in deciding whether or not to unionize, so they can intimidate the workers into voting them in), and a plan to silence talk radio with the Fairness Doctrine (whatever they call it). Sounds to me like they are “consolidating their power.” This is reminiscent of Germany after Adolph Hitler was ELECTED Chancellor and slowly, but surely consolidated his power until he was an undisputed dictator and could kill ANYBODY (especially Jews) who disagreed with him at will.  He has been praised by Democrats for getting this enormous spending bill passed within three weeks of taking office, and rightly so (in their minds). He has turned out to be the biggest swindler ever and the Democrats love that. Second only to him is AlGore (another liberal Democrat) and his “global warming” swindle.(info from Reagan.org)

Ethanol Is NOT A "Viable Substitute"

A fortune was spent on ethanol development last year when gas prices were in the stratosphere. Now a lesson has been learned: Worshiping the false god of ethanol carries a high price." It costs a lot more than they’re telling you to get gasoline from Ethanol and seriously reduces the amount of corn available to feed people. But they don’t tell you that, either. They’re all “rose-colored glasses” over Ethanol and other energy sources that are not feasible, but which get them votes. But there IS no “feasible alternative” to the energy sources we are now using. We just need to be allowed to get our oil from areas WE control so we can stop depending on oil from countries where they preach hatred of America. (IBD Editorials)

Completely, Totally, WRONG!

"President Obama, a smart man [supposedly -RT], says that tax cuts for the wealthy are the main reason we're now in such economic trouble. Someone needs to tell him how utterly — and dangerously — wrong that is." (Investor’s Business Daily) There isn’t enough money in the hands of “the rich” to make that much difference. In any case, “the rich (those who are EARNING their riches, that is, not those like Teddy Kennedy, who is just “clipping coupons” on stocks his father and grandfather bought and left him) pay MOST of the taxes that are paid, already. Raising their taxes will destroy their INCENTIVE to invest in projects that will CREATE more taxable income, thus raising the “tax take.” Which will also create more jobs. Everything Obama has done, to date, has DESTROYED incentive, and jobs. The Democrat’s favorite “bad guys,” big business, are NOT the “culprit.” The Real culprit is the GOVERNMENT, which CREATED this "economic downturn" by making a law (Citizen’s Reinvestment Act of 1976) that FORCED lenders to make loans they KNEW could never be repaid, thus destroying the economy. Now they’re trying to blame the victims, the lenders, saying they made “risky loans.” They did, but only to obey the law and keep from being "investigated" by Janet Reno. (IBD Editorials)

Things Are Different Now

When the original “fairness doctrine” was imposed upon us the only way radio commentators could “get the word out” was “over the airwaves,” which the government controlled. Now, there are many more ways to do it, some the government, under current law, CANNOT CONTROL. One is broadcasting on the Internet. The other is through Internet newsletters, both online free (ad supported) and print, for money. They can also do it on cable television, which the government still has not figured out a way to control. If they had, there would be no Fox News because they truly DO tell “both sides,” which infuriates liberals. They probably have more liberals on their payroll than do CBS, ABS, or NBC, and PBS (especially PBS) which are PROVEN to be mostly liberal and DO NOT “tell both sides,” though they insist they do. They should be careful what they wish for, because a “fairness doctrine” can work both ways, forcing THEM to give FREE TIME to conservatives to counter THEIR ideas whenever voiced on the air. Still, it will destroy AM radio because those conservative opinion shows are the only INTERESTING thing on AM. Liberal attempts to start “talk shows” having predictably failed with a regularity beyond belief because nobody is interested in hearing their drivel. Even if they DO manage to get it passed, then they have to figure out how to ENFORCE it, since there are so MANY different opinions it’s hard to put them into one or two niches. (Just common sense)

Sneaking It Into the Bill

Obama snuck a provision into his "stimulus" swindle bill creating a “health czar” who has the power to veto ANY treatment that, IN HIS/HER OPINION costs the government too much. That means if your doctor wants to do something that he MUST do to save your life, this “faceless bureaucrat” can say “NO” and condemn you to death. Yet they can’t seem to kill murderers who are given death sentences. Those people know they can count on at least fifteen to twenty years of life after being condemned to death while lawyers fight it out in court, with taxpayers picking up the tab. Not so with sick people. If the “health czar” thinks it’ll cost too much to keep you alive, you’re dead. (IBD Editorials)

Valentine's Day

That was a good day on which to unveil the biggest swindle in American history, considering liberals (and their dupes) are “going overboard” in their “love” for him; which is just the opposite to the hatred they showed for George Bush, for no real reason. They couldn’t tell you why they hated Bush, just as they can’t tell you why they LOVE Barack Obama. Oh, they give you “reasons” (which are what the liberals taught them, and mean nothing). But if you delve deeper, soon they are again “calling you names” to avoid having to answer your questions. It’s like that newsman who said hearing Obama speak sent a “thrill” down his leg. A thrill that usually signals he’s about to have an orgasm. You’d think newsmen would have more sense than that, but apparently not this one. (Yahoo News/AP)

Do As I Say, Not As I Do (Again)

Politicians are constantly telling private business not to use corporate jets, even though in most cases their use of them is economically feasible. Meanwhile, the very politicians telling them this are jetting around the world in their own private jets, at taxpayer expense. When the president goes anywhere, they use TWO private jets; one as a decoy, the other carrying the president. By telling them not to use these jets, they are doing the same thing to the private jet building and selling industry that they did to the yacht industry when they dissed THAT industry. They literally DESTROYED it. Then they had to get rid of the law that did it. Liberals in government say they want to HELP private business. But everything they do seems to HURT it. They KNOW that if “big business” doesn’t make money (they’re proving that with their “stimulus bill”) EVERYBODY suffers. Yet they constantly “diss” big business and try to hurt them. (Just common sense)

Just Like I Said

They’re baaack! "Billions of dollars in government loans to prop up General Motors and Chrysler won't be enough. The companies, which have received $17.4 billion so far, filed plans with the government more than doubling that request to a staggering total of $39 billion." AND they're cutting more jobs! And just like I said, they’ll be back again and again, until somebody tells them “no.” Mortgage companies will probably be next, especially if GM and Chrysler get more money and they see it will work. Those gullible politicians in Washington will give them a few billion more, just for the asking. (Yahoo News/AP)

Homeowner Cited in Burglar Death

I think a burglar gets what he deserves when he's injured or killed breaking  into a somebody's home to steal. Whether it's a gun-weilding homeowner or a rickety stairway he had no business being on, it's all the same. He was killed trying to steal from the homeowner. Yet the local politicians are trying to cite the homeowner for that rickety staircase this man had no business using. It is politicians and courts like this that have made honest people afraid to defend themselves and their property in some parts of this nation. Yet the number of burglars and other kinds of criminals, most notably violent ones, who come to no good end when politicians don't go out of their way to punish the VICTIMS.  (The Armed Citizen)

Retail Sales Rise (Surprise!)

“Experts” didn’t expect it. Do they ever expect ANYTHING positive? Obama is going to have to work hard to get it going in a downward direction again to support his trillion dollar swindle, especially if this is the “first drop of rain” that heralds a rainstorm. If numbers in the economy keep going up, (in the same month new jobless claims also dropped) where will his swindle be? Like AlGore’s “man-made global warming swindle” that has been stalled by cold weather, Obama’s “bad economy swindle,” CREATED by Democrats, will also stall and he won’t be able to use a bad business cycle to gain votes for the Democrats to keep them in power for another fifty (or maybe more) years.
