Somebody once said, “Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Nothing could prove this statement correct better than the story of two judges in Wilkes-Barre, PA who got the local calaboose for children closed, and a private concern to do that job opened. Then got “fees” for each child they sent “up the river” to their prison. Think this can’t happen? Read the story linked below and do some of your own research. And you can be sure if it happens in Wilkes-Barre, it happens elsewhere, too. (
