Economists On Both sides Agree

That we should not reduce government spending in a recession. This is a statement that is a patent lie. Yes, there ARE some economists on the right and the left who agree with him, but they are in the minority. We all know that if you laid all the world’s economists end to end, they STILL could not reach a conclusion. But a FEW economists on either side agreeing with him do not make it true. Remember President Warren Harding? He inherited a recession and he DID reduce government spending and the recession “went away.” This is the kind of thing people like Obama ignore when they make such statements. Not “economist’s opinions,” but REALITY. They will say it was a “fluke.” But others have done it as well, with success. We have NEVER been able to “spend our way out of a recession.” But he and his cohorts don’t care about that. The condition of the country doesn’t matter to them, so long as their careers advance. Is Oxygen A Pollutant?

It is, if you listen to the idiotic reasoning of the people who have now decided carbon dioxide is a poison. Too much of both CAN be poisonous, but that doesn’t mean you get to BAN either. Too much WATER can be deadly, too. As can too much fire in the wrong place. But we’re not banning water or fire. Plants NEED carbon dioxide (not carbon MONoxide) to live, while WE need oxygen (which plants produce) to live. Where the hell do they get off declaring carbon dioxide a “pollutant?”  How STUPID is that?? If they get away with this, later they can declare human waste as a pollutant and ban it, as well. Then we’ll all have to pay a “fee” to poop. This kind of thinking is not only stupid, it’s DANGEROUS. And it’s liberal. (IBD Editorials)

Sorry Folks

I've been a little "under the weather" lately, and if posts have been a little "spotty," that's why. I was in the hospital Monday for an arteriogram. I have to go back soon to get some stenets put in to keep me alive, and I was feeling pretty lousy Tuesday. So posts may remain "spotty" for a little while.

Cops Detain Citizen for Patriotic Bumper Sticker

This was sent us by the “Patriot Depot:" “We just received a call from Rosemarie in Ball, Louisiana alerting us that her brother-in-law was stopped by small town Louisiana police and detained by the roadside for half an hour. A background check was conducted to determine whether he was a member of an ‘extremist’ group. Why? Her brother-in-law (name not disclosed for privacy) had purchased and displayed a conservative ‘Don’t Tread on Me’ bumper sticker on his car. The bumper sticker is based on the famous flag designed by American Revolution era general and statesman Christopher Gadsden.  The yellow flag featured a coiled diamondback rattlesnake ready to strike, with the slogan “Don’t Tread on Me!” underneath it.  Benjamin Franklin helped make the rattlesnake a symbol of Americans’ reluctance to quarrel but vigilance and resolve in defense of their rights.  By 1775 when Gadsden presented his flag to the commander-in-chief of the Navy, the rattlesnake  was a symbol of the colonies and of their need to unite in defense of threats to their God-given and inherited rights.  The flag and the bumper sticker symbolize American patriotism, the need to defend Americans’ rights, and resistance to tyranny’s threats to American liberty.  Those threats included—and include—illegal taxation, profanation of Americans’ rights, and violation of the fundamental principles of American law.

The notorious Department of Homeland Security memo, which was apparently based on the infamous Missouri State Police Report that described supporters of presidential candidates Bob Barr, Ron Paul, and Chuck Baldwin as ‘militia’-type potential extremists and potential terrorists, is not the first effort of leftist radicals to slander their political opponents as ‘extremists.’ Some observers have noted that similar ‘reports’ emerged during the Clinton administration. But ‘liberals’ and other leftists have been calling defenders of traditional American limited, constitutional government, free enterprise, and individual liberty “extremists” since at least the 1964 election. The political left’s attempts to establish a false equivalence between genuine left wing extremists and those who oppose the left’s assault on our culture, law, and liberty is more than propaganda to fool the ignorant and manipulate public opinion. Combined with the power of government, it is an attempt to harass, intimidate, and silence all political opposition—and probably an attempt to demonize them as a prelude to governmental oppression and persecution. Keep in mind that the First Amendment states, ‘Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.’ Small town police misled by phony left wing ‘reports’ are bad enough. Federal government agencies and their armed agents under the direction of leftist radicals are exponentially worse.’ They will tread on us. The time has come to let our voices be heard! It’s starting, folks. Soon it will not be ignorant small-town cops. It will be “federal agents” detaining us for being freedom-lovers. Are you going to let them do it? (Patriot Depot)

Ethics Complaints

Isn’t it funny how when you anger or frighten certain politicians (mostly liberals) you start collecting “ethics complaints” like stamps? Newt Gingrich had, at last count, 39 of them when he was the Majority Leader of the Senate who got the “Contract With America” adopted, which put the Republicans back in power. Last I heard, ALL of them were “thrown out.” But did you hear about that? Not likely. Now Sarah Palin, who frightens Republicans and Democrats alike because she CAN win the presidency in the next election (and they don’t like that) is beginning to collect them. They’re all just as phony and will no doubt continue, and increase as time goes on as Republicans and Democrats alike try and “sink” her like Perez Hilton did a “Miss USA” contestant who disagreed with him. FBI At "Tea Parties?"

Of COURSE they were! With Obama’s stated policies about “dangerous right-wing extremists,” (stated by his Homeland Security designate, Janet Napolitano) how could they NOT be? They REGULARLY spied on “right-wingers” during the Hoover period. They TOLD us they had stopped, but I never believed it. Especially when Obama said it. Are they “investigating” people like me? Of COURSE. That’s what they do! And if I do something that irritates Obama or his thugs enough, I expect a visit from them. God knows, I’m TRYING hard enough. (One News Now)

Are We Safer Under Obama?

We have remained safe from Islamic terrorists for seven years under Bush. They’re have been many tries, but no successes while George Bush was in charge, though they have been successful in other countries. Now Obama is in charge and one of his first actions is to close GITMO and start housing these dangerous killers within the United states, and under the American criminal justice system which will, eventually, release some of them in the United States. Since this is one of their “fervent wishes,” to be free in the United States so they can plan their terrorist operations WITHIN this country. What’s a few years in our prisons, where they are treated better than they were back in their caves and camps if the final result is to be free in the United States? This can only result in American deaths; the deaths of people who are NOT “combatants” at the hands of “enemy combatants” we have released upon the general public. Look for more actions like 9/11 in the coming years. If they happen, I hope their first one is on the White House. They commonly kill  their friends. (Just common sense)

Nominate Somebody Worthwhile

"If the Republican Party nominates somebody like McCain in 2012, it's going to be a problem. But we can overcome all of this with the right candidate.  We won two landslides in the eighties with Ronald Reagan, and he did not have anywhere near a conservative media back then." (Rush Limbaugh) This is what the Republicans failed to do in 2008, which is why we now have a Democrat-dominated government, now. Sarah Palin/Bobby Jindal come to mind, both unabashed conservatives who, if allowed ”free rein,” will win handily. If they nominate another McCain, they’ll lose again. (Just common sense)

"Interrogations Worked"

Those “harsh interrogation techniques worked," according to a report that Obama’s designated “Home Security Secretary” does not want to allow to be released, because she “doesn’t consider Dick Cheney (the former vice president) to be a good source of information.” Who the hell is SHE to denigrate the former VICE PRESIDENT of this nation as a source of information? For my part, those Islamic killers have FORFEITED any right to NOT be questioned using “harsh interrogation techniques.” They routinely BEHEAD the people they capture. If they’re “caught in the act,” they should be shot on sight. In any case, I don’t DEFINE torture as lowly as they do. I don’t think “yelling at them” or playing Barry Manilow music incessantly constitutes torture (although some people would say playing Manilow anytime is torture). But then, they don’t ask me for my opinion. (Just common sense)

The "Sanction of the Victim"

This is a concept emphasized by Ayn Rand in her Objectivist philosophy. I am an objective (“small o”) philosopher and, while I don’t agree with EVERYTHING in her philosophy, I do agree with most of it. The looters (liberals, socialists) do everything they can so CON you into AGREEING with their plans, making you think their plans will be good for you. That way they get your APPROVAL for the rights and money they take away from you. The United Nations “Climate Change Plan” is like that. They’ve “glommed onto” AlGore’s “man-made climate change swindle” as a means to get your approval for the depredations they plan on foisting upon us in the name of his IMAGINARY “man-made global warming.”

Frankly, I don’t view one-quarter of a degree warming in 100 years as an “emergency,” even if the lies Gore tells were true—which they’re not. In fact, I view it as an ADVANTAGE. The fact that this planet warms and cools NATURALLY in cycles refutes entirely Gore’s swindle (which has made him a very rich man). Almost thirty years ago they were worried about “global COOLING!” They were just as adamant about being right then as they are now, with their faulty “science.” And it made them a lot of money then, as now. If this government allows this U. N.“Climate Change Plan” to become law by signing a treaty to that effect, it will have CREATED the “New World Order” many people have been afraid of for years, to our detriment. I'm glad I won't be around to see it. (Fox News)

It Just Doesn't Compute!

All our current problems—a miserable economy, the “mortgage crisis” (Resulting from the government FORCING lenders to loan money to people who cannot, and WILL not, repay it), high fuel prices at one time approaching $4 a gallon of gas (caused by the government not allowing oil companies to drill within the United States), with fuel prices beginning to rise again, high violent crime rates (because of “gun control” laws); high medical costs (from government interference and “Red tape”), etc. Yet people (most of whom “do not pay attention to politics) rely on DEMOCRATS to solve all these problems THEY created in the first place! It just doesn’t compute! Another thing that doesn't compute is that nobody seems to give a damn. (Just common sense)

Bradford's "Experiment"

: I know this is not Thanksgiving, but this story needs to be known, ANY time of year. The “experiment” attempted by William Bradford, when colonists first came to this country, involved ALL colonists growing crops with them being “owned in common” and deposited into a “common store,” with each colonists owning ONE share, even if their labors contributed more than that. Sound familiar? Collectivism; socialism; communism; many years BEFORE the birth of Karl Marx, whose writings CREATED the biggest example of the FAILURE of collectivism, which was called COMMUNISM. School books teach us that the colony finally succeeded after starving for the first year with many colonists dying (including Bradford’s wife) because the local Indians taught them how to survive and that this feast was to thank them. Not true. The whole story is a lie, fabricated by those who still wish to force collectivism on an unsuspecting populace. The reality is that their collectivist society did not work. It gave the colonists no INCENTIVE to produce more for SOMEONE ELSE than they would for themselves. Nobody is going to work harder for the benefit of OTHERS, not themselves. It’s just not human nature.

The feast was one of THANKSGIVING for their success after they ABANDONED the collectivist scheme. But don’t expect the truth to ever be taught in our schools because the truth will not advance the collectivist philosophy (which the liberals are still pushing), which has been proven to fail every time it has been tried. So why do they keep pushing it? POWER! A collectivist society allows certain people to have POWER over the rest. Never mind it doesn’t work. It will last as long as the current collectivists, who intend to be “in charge,” are alive; and that’s all they care about. The true and complete story of Thanksgiving is that CAPITALISM and the “free market” succeeds every time it is “unleashed.” But collectivists are still trying, hundreds of years later, to “shape” it into something that works (They still say it has never been tried properly). Bradford decided early to ABANDON it, and his colony succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. We need to do the same. (Physician Entrepreneur)
