Why Finance Foreign Oil?

Isn’t it to our advantage to develop oil resources in our own country? What if Brazil, after we’ve paid to develop their oil industry, decide to “nationalize” it, as have other countries (notably in the Middle East) for whom we have paid to drill? They still haven’t learned that they MUST tell the environmental extremists to “go to hell” and develop the oil reserves that are so abundant in our own territory. What is it about that which our ignorant politicians don’t understand? (IBD Editorials)

Steven Hawking An Example?

If this man is a “shining example” of the British health care system, I’d want my money back. I don’t ever want to have to wait MONTHS for a simple procedure that can save my life, and wait longer for the surgery this procedure tells them is necessary while what’s working to kill me is getting bigger in my body. This is NOT a “myth.” It’s FACT. All you have to do is look objectively at nationalized health care in countries (such as Britain and Canada) who have had it for years to see the results. Investor’s Business Daily was criticized when they wrote the original story, but you have to recognize that Hawking is a true genius.  But what if some nameless, faceless bureaucrat who was charged with deciding his fate didn’t know that? Would he be kept alive, anyway? He’d probably be dead by now. Hawking himself tells us this on his own web site, where he credits, NOT the National Health Service for his survival, but several “private foundations.” (IBD Editorials)

Uncooperative Computer

 I've been fighting this computer all week (and more). It's like a little kid; I tell it to do something and it doesn't. Or it does something else altogether. Or if I wait long enough, sometimes it does what I tell it. Believe me; its days on my desk are numbered. Sorry.

Kennedy Hypocrisy

It literally makes me ill to hear such as Sen. McCain and others who reviled Teddy Kennedy in life (except when they wanted something) refer to him as “The Lion of the Senate” (“Lying,” more likely) and the one “almost indispensable man” when he died. Kennedy was responsible for some of the most reprehensible legislation ever passed. He drove his car into Chappaquiddick Bay with his young, beautiful, pregnant girlfriend inside and swam away, to go back to his motel, shower, and go to bed (as if nothing had happened), leaving her to die when a simple phone call MIGHT have saved her life, if made in time. But that was not Kennedy. Maybe he felt an “out-of-wedlock birth” would ruin his career, and her death almost did. But he was wiley enough to overcome killing her and “served” for many more years, screwing up everything he touched. People say you should not “speak ill of the dead,” but being dead doesn’t make you into a saint. If you’re a jerk alive, you’re still a jerk dead. I say, good riddance. (Just common sense)

Socialized Medicine Town Meetings

The Obama crowd calls such meetings “unruly demonstrations” without mentioning that THEY are the ones who are “unruly” and blame it all on real protesters. “The Traditional Values Coalition (TVC) is offering the free service and is encouraging Americans to take part in the town hall meetings in their congressional district. TVC executive director Andrea Lafferty says the events are an opportunity for Americans to register genuine concerns, not the "manufactured outrage" the White House claims is on display at the town halls.” I know many of you aren’t as religious oriented as they are, but they are a good source if information on where these town hall meetings will be. They DO NOT tell you what TO SAY AND DO THERE, AS Obama’s thugs say they do. They tell you THEIR “talking points,” but you have to make your own decision as to what to say or do. Which is just the opposite of what will happen if all Obama’s dreams come true. (One News Now)

Obama's"Snitch Brigade"

He has set out to make an “enemies list” by asking people to tell him if somebody sends you what he calls “misinformation” (and we call "truth") about his health care swindle. So I guess the first guy you need to “snitch” on is Obama himself, since he has been spewing “DISinformation about it for a long time. This is the kind of thing that Hitler tried when he was taking over in Germany. And he didn’t stop at adults. He wanted to recruit children to “snitch” on their parents. Communist Russia had a similar program in place, too. All dictatorships and “wanna-be” dictatorships try and recruit “snitches” to inform on their friends and family. (One News Now/Michelle Malkin) You know, that columnist the liberals hate so much and call “that silly girl who lies all the time” They are frightened of her and that tells me she’s hurting them. Which makes her my kind of gal. After continuously denying he had a "snitch site," he has now said he has "shut it down." What he has really done is "submerge it" into another site he Calls an "information site." But its purpose remains the same.

Obama "Wee-Wees" On Himself

Liberals will “call me down” for having the temerity to say such a thing about “our president.” Unfortunately, it was Obama himself who used the “wee-wee” term to describe his troubles selling his socialized medicine swindle to Americans. He’s still calling the TRUTH we tell about his plans “misinformation” while spouting misinformation (lies) all over the place. He lied AGAIN the other day when he said “if you like your health care plan you can keep it.” Yeah, right up to the moment you, or your insurer make ANY tiny change in your coverage. At that very moment, you will be FORCED into his swindle and charged a “penalty” (tax) if you fail to sign up. And you’ll be “signed up” against your will as I was when I failed to sign up for the government’s “pay for your medicine” program (passed by Bush and the Democrats in Congress). This is their “pattern,” and they’re not likely to change it, even if it IS unconstitutional. (Rush Limbaugh)

"I've Saved the Economy"

What? Unemployment is still at 9.4% (or more) and Obama SAYS he’s “saved the economy?” What is this jerk SMOKING? The only reason the unemployment numbers didn’t go up as FAR As everybody thought is because a lot of people whose unemployment insurance has given out have just “given up” and are no longer looking for a job. We’ve still lost 240,000 jobs this month (as this is written). These numbers only reflect those who are still looking and collecting unemployment. Leave it to Obama to claim “victory” from the slightest improvement in numbers, no matter what the cause. And leave it to his “captive press” to tout it, true or not. That’s all I’ve been hearing when I couldn’t avoid it lately. How “this is a sign things are going to get better.” I wonder how they’re going to spin it when the numbers go the other way. Dems Mad At Rush

As usual. And that’s a GOOD thing. The madder he can make them, the more effective he is. This time they’re “busting a gut” about him having the temerity to accuse them of “Nazi tactics.” Of course,l they left out Nancy Pelosi’s “demonstrators at ‘Tea Parties’ carrying swastikas” crack (which ignored the red circle around it with the diagonal line through it). Not a peep about that in the news stories giving Rush hell. But then, who’s surprised? This is their “modus operandi.” Accusing their opponents of doing what THEY’RE doing while ignoring their own “sins.” One thing you can be sure of, if he makes them mad, he’s “scoring.” They hate it when that happens, and it happens all the time. I LOVE it when I can make a liberal "jump up and down." (Rush Limbaugh)

Like A Head of State

The Taliban in Afghanistan is “installing a new leader” because the old one is “ill.” I guess being dead can be considered ill if you don't know how to admit the truth. They are treating it like the installation of a new “head of state.” Or a "coronation." They're just as excited as Obama loons were about his inauguration. I guess they still think they’re the REAL government in Afghanistan, that the “other government” people voted in is not the “real” one. Looks like we’ve got a new target. Finding and killing Taliban leaders is like a shell game. I wouldn’t want his job. (Yahoo News/AP)

No Respect for Diplomacy

It’s not surprising that a country whose very PRESIDENT was involved in the kidnap of hundreds of American embassy employees in the seventies and eighties would ”arrest and try” other diplomatic employees today. This country has NO RESPECT for the diplomatic agreements their predecessors have signed. Why ANY country sends diplomats there is beyond me. Why we didn’t make a steaming pile out of their presidential palace when they kidnapped our embassy people the first time is also beyond me. Reagan sent an attack jet to Libya and almost got Kaddafi (however he spells it this week). I guess most politicians in most countries (especially the dictators) tend to be stupid. (Yahoo News/AP)

"You're All Nazis"

That’s our government’s opinion of you if you’re against Obama’s health care swindle or any of his other swindles. Nancy Pelosi said recently (with NO proof) that “Tea Party” demonstrators were carrying swastikas, which is a wimpy way to say they’re Nazis (actually, they were, but enclosed within red circles with a line across them). Obama has said in the past that the Bush administration was “using Nazi tactics” (also with no proof and showing complete IGNORANCE of what Nazi tactics ARE while using them himself) and some congresspeople have compared his (Bush's) administration to Nazis. This is what you can expect from “wanna-be dictators” who are trying to take over this country for socialism. Socialism (collectivism) is at the base of the old Soviet Russia, and if they succeed, they will make ALL your decisions for you, and punish you if you so much as complain. The only people using Nazi tactics are Obama’s people. And I have PROOF when I say that. The very tactics he is using today to gain control over ALL your lives are the same ones “Der Fuhrer” used to become a dictator in Germany after originally being elected Chancellor. I hope you can see that and “spread the word” to all those not paying attention to politics so they will know what’s happening. I haven't been to a "Tea Party" rally because of infirmity. But I agree fully with their program, and I'm definitely NOT a Nazi. Nazism is SOCIALISM, with only cosmetic differences different from communism. (What Is Nazi?)

Obama's "Dog & Pony Show"

They SAY tickets to their “town hall meetings” are “randomly” given out” but when a conservative went into a meeting she was told she couldn’t bring in cameras, water bottles or cups, pens or pencils, Purses or bags, or signs. But when she finally got inside, she saw “fawning liberals” (who were 95% of the attendees) photographing everything, writing signs (with pens they got out of their bags), and attempting to intimidate conservatives who managed to get in. One student managed to get in a real question. He challenged Obama to an “Oxford-style debate” and asked how Obama expected a profit-making company that HAD to make a profit to survive, could expect to compete against the government, which does not. Obama just laughed at his “chutzpa” and gave a rambling answer that did not answer the question (as usual). One woman, whose medication gave her “dry mouth,” was not even allowed to go outside for a drink of water and return. This is not the kind of “town hall meeting” we know. It is a “dog and pony show” put on to convince people who don’t pay a lot of attention that they are listening to our concerns. They’re not. This info came from someone who was THERE. (Just common sense)

Obama's "Enemies List"

Liberals got all bent out of shape when they thought President Nixon had an “enemies list.” But now Obama is doing it. And he can’t deny it because he is openly asking for “snitches” to tell him about ANYBODY who is “talking against" ANY of his programs, on the Internet or in private mail (he calls such info “misinformation”). What else can this BE except to compile an “enemies list?” I would give you the URL to which he wants you to send this info, but I have information (not verified, but possible) that he will be able to access the hard drive of ANYBODY who logs onto his “cash for clunkers” web site, and it is reasonable to think that if he has this capability, he could also use it here. If you want to tell him about REAL “misinformation,” send him his own web sites info. (Dallas News)
