If this man is a “shining example” of the British health care system, I’d want my money back. I don’t ever want to have to wait MONTHS for a simple procedure that can save my life, and wait longer for the surgery this procedure tells them is necessary while what’s working to kill me is getting bigger in my body. This is NOT a “myth.” It’s FACT. All you have to do is look objectively at nationalized health care in countries (such as Britain and Canada) who have had it for years to see the results. Investor’s Business Daily was criticized when they wrote the original story, but you have to recognize that Hawking is a true genius. But what if some nameless, faceless bureaucrat who was charged with deciding his fate didn’t know that? Would he be kept alive, anyway? He’d probably be dead by now. Hawking himself tells us this on his own web site, where he credits, NOT the National Health Service for his survival, but several “private foundations.” (
