Roman Polanski admitted to raping a 13-year-old girl many years ago and was convicted. But then had a “change of heart” and fled the country, staying away from any country that would or could (or would) extradite him—until now, when the lure of an award was just too much. They think it’s “too much” to punish a man who would dope this child and rape her because it happened many years ago. To me though, his “achievements” in the movie industry do not “wipe away” this rape of a child and he should be forced to spend the rest of his miserable life in prison; and it does appear he may be forced to do just that. This is a good example of how screwed up liberals are. (
