Are They Serious?

“The Senate has finally rolled out its long-awaited cap-and-trade bill to slash carbon dioxide. Looking at its draconian restrictions on the U.S. economy, it's hard to believe its supporters are serious.” First of all, what’s wrong with carbon dioxide in the air? Plants need it to make oxygen, which we need to stay alive. Do they really think we’re stupid enough to believe carbon dioxide is a BAD thing? What kind of fools are these? (IBD Editorials)

They Just Don't Understand

Liberals in New York just can’t understand why “rich people” who have to EARN their money take their business elsewhere (They don’t say anything about people who have INHERITED their wealth mostly because most of them are liberals). They can’t understand why “the rich” don’t want those “small-minded people” who can’t equal their accomplishments want to TAKE “their share” of what “the rich” EARN with their superior minds and actions.. They blame Rush Limbaugh for openly leaving the state because he got tired of paying for everybody else’s “government giveaways.” They think “the rich” should be HAPPY to give up what they’ve EARNED, so that people who can’t be bothered to achieve something can live better at THEIR expense. Liberals still think all they have to do is “tax the rich” more every time they need more money to finance one of their “flights of fancy” while demonizing “the rich” for BEING rich, and doing everything they can to destroy the very things that are financing their swindles, which are paid for by higher taxes, levied on the very same "rich people.". Do You Believe This?

“Former president Jimmy Carter said, "I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man." That’s a good way to “shut people up” without having to answer their charges. No wonder they call Jimmy “The National Hemorrhoid.” “For these people, it is inconceivable that many Americans are outraged by the president's spending policies, budget deficits, industry takeovers, not to mention the appointment of Czars, a term that ought to be alien and offensive to American values whether used by a Republican or Democratic president." Or, I might add, a black or white president. They said electing Obama (a half-black man) president would get rid of racism forever. It did not. It merely gave Obama’s supporters a convenient “comeback” that “brooks no argument” among those silly enough to be worried about being labeled a “racist.” Nobody ever said about a white politician, “They’re only against him because they don’t like white people.” Obama is as much white as he is black, so why does he (and his) make such a big point about his “black side?” I’m not among those because I’ve been called a racist many times since I’m not afraid to criticize the likes of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and “Calypso Louie” Farrakhan, race-baiters all. This will continue as long as they keep getting away with it. But it seems to me the very ELECTION of Obama puts the lie to that notion.. (Prof. Walter E. Williams)

It's NOT A "Mandate"

Obama just “skinned by” to win the presidency. He was NOT “given a mandate” from Americans to move us ever closer to collectivism (socialism, fascism). He thinks he was. Whenever he is questioned about what he’s doing, his answer is, “I won the election, didn’t I?” Yes, he did. By the “skin of his teeth.” But that doesn’t give him the right to “skin” us, which he is proceeding to do, as fast as he can, before we “get wise. Trouble is, we’re getting wise. It has become all too obvious, even to those who pay no attention to politics, that he is stealing everything we own and setting up mechanisms to CONTROL the rest. Wake up! Join with those who DO “pay attention” and put a stop to his thievery. Example: a majority of Americans are AGAINST his “health care swindle,” but he is determined to impose it on us anyway. If he fails this year, he’ll be back next year, and the year after that, until he is successful or is voted out. (Common Sense)

Sports Sponsorship is Cost-Effective

The news media asks General Motors why it is able to spend a million dollars to sponsor the Texas State Fair in a “down economy.” This illkustrates a complete ignorance of how business works. They don’t do these sponsorships as “charity.” They do it to get their name out to as many people as possible, as cheaply as possible. GM says it would have to sponsor as many as a dozen other events to get their name out to as many people as they do in just a few days by sponsoring this one event. They’re not GIVING this money away. They’re spending it to improve their business, just as they spend money for TV ads—and for the same reason. If you don’t advertise, you’re going to go out of business. I sure hope Obama doesn’t start barring such sponsorships in a short-sighted effort to save money. That would be disastrous. (Elite) Liberals Are Vile

Anybody who would “excuse” a child molester who drugged a 13-year-old girl so he could have sex with her is vile. Roman Polanski pled GUILTY to those charges, thinking he would get away with a small punishment. When he found out that wasn’t so, he fled, and hasn’t appeared in a country where he could be arrested and extradited—until now. Now the Hollywood liberals are “incensed” that we would seek to punish this sex degenerate “30 years later.” There is no telling how many other underage girls he has drugged and assaulted in the intervening years. He just hasn’t been caught. People like him do not stop abusing children for 30 years, just because he was caught once. He needs to go to prison for the rest of his miserable life, where he can find out what it’s like to be raped. (IBD Editorials)

FDR Prolonged the Depression

Liberals everywhere credit Roosevelt for stopping the “great depression,” but everything he did prolonged it while nobody realized it because most people paid no attention to politics, as they do not even to this day. Yet they vote. Liberals count on their ignorance as they go about spending trillions of dollars of their (taxpayer) money, raise their taxes, and create unheard-of inflation by printing money with nothing valuable behind it. It was the end of many of his “free-spending” scams when WWII started, not the government spending required to fight the war that ended the depression. Liberals never learn from history because their teachers never teach then any history in school. They’re too busy conditioning them to accept collectivism (socialism, fascism) as "the norm." Most don’t even realize they’re doing this, because they, themselves, have been conditioned by their teachers and they’re just “passing it on.” (Economist, professor Thomas Sowell)

Slapping Obama Down

Everybody (Obamaites, anyway) thought it was “in the bag.” Obama would go to Copenhagen and “Mesmerize” the IOC folks, and they’d give the 2016 Olympics to Chicago, his “home town.” Didn’t happen. They “slapped him down” and eliminated Chicago in the first round of voting. Apparently, he couldn’t get ACORN involved in the voting. Not only didn’t Chicago get it, Chicago was eliminated in the first round, showing that Obama’s “golden tongue” meant nothing in Europe. The expressions on the faces of Chicagoans were priceless when the word came out (overconfidence will do that). I’m sorry this country didn’t get another Olympics, but I’m not surprised. Obama’s overconfident attitude when he took the podium and talked, not about his country, but himself, didn’t help much. He thought it was “in the bag,” too. But it wasn’t. It was a “small thing” in the grand scheme of things, but Obama needs to find out that he can’t “rescue” things by simply making a speech. Things such as Iran making nuclear bombs to use on Israel. When they do, what’s he going to do, give a speech? (Just common sense)

Money for Terrorists

Libya has been long declared a “terrorist regime.” It doesn’t matter that Khaddaffi (however he spells it today) “apologized” and paid restitution to some of the victims of the airplane disaster he created in Lockerbie, Scotland. We don’t care how “sorry” he is (while he fetes the man who did his dirty work as a hero). The dead are still dead. We should not be giving him or his kin a lot of money; money that can easily find its way into the hands of other terrorists. Seems like Obama is a “willing dupe” of Islamic terrorists. (News Max)

"Straining Relations With Terrorists"

Liberals say we shouldn’t be so hard on suspected terrorists because that would “strain relations” with other Muslims. That’s a load of stinky brown stuff. Should we stop arresting criminals because that would “strain relations” with other criminals? They say harsh methods of dealing with these murderers of innocents are their “best recruiting tool.” More stinky brown stuff! They’ll lie to CREATE better recruiting, while hiding the fact that they strap bombs to CHILDREN and send them into crowds so they can explode the bombs. “Straining relations?” Okay; go ahead and strain relations. Maybe after other Muslims see how they’re treated after killing innocents, they’ll think better of it. But don’t hold your breath unless blue is a good color for you. (Just common sense

The Unconstitutional President

The liberals tried, without success, to show that George Bush was an “illegitimate president.” But Obama is working hard himself to prove that HE is an illegitimate president. His questionable legal right to BE president aside (he REFUSES to prove his citizenship. Why is that? Why wasn’t he required to do so before he could be allowed to take office? He could clear that question with one action; an action he REFUSES to take. Why is that?), Everything he has done as president is unconstitutional. Where in the Constitution does it say he can “fire” the CEO of General Motors? Or give billions of OUR money to to corporations “because they’re too big to fail?” Would it have been legal to “bail out” the buggy whip manufacturers when the auto came along? How about appointing a long list of “czars” who are BILLED as “advisers,” (and are not required to be approved by Congress) but who have powers never before allotted to “advisers?” The things he has done that are unconstitutional are legion. But nobody who can do anything about it objects (yet), so he gets away with it. Will those who CAN do something about it EVER “wake up” and DO something about it? I guess they don’t want to join his “Enemies List.” What? You didn’t know about that? Obama is LIVID about what certain people are saying about him. NO, Rush Limbaugh is not on top of that list. He’s only in the number two spot (which ought to make HIM mad). Glenn Beck is number one, because he has been able to actually CATCH one of his “czars” calling Republicans “a—holes” and having proudly ADMITTED to having been a COMMUNIST. Sarah Palin got on the list after she revealed his plans for “death panels” (some of which already exist in the VA), and said he “pals around with terrorists” such as Bill Ayers and others. Bill Clinton thinks he should “target” them, one at a time, and destroy them. This is not the actions of a president, but those of a would-be DICTATOR. A "spoiled brat." Maybe if I could get to more people, I’D be on the list.. I’d be a much easier target, since I’m old, bent, and broken, and I don’t have any money (to speak of). This “list” shows how small and shallow he is. (Just common sense)

Starlets do all kinds of stupid things to get attention, but this has to be one of the worst. Victoria Rowell (who?) wore a blue dress to the Emmies with pictures of Obama all over it. How ignorant is that? Isn’t it enough we see Obama’s ugly mug everywhere we turn our eyes? Now we have to see it on a beautiful woman’s body? Talk about really spoiling the view! (The Fashion Police)

We Lie!

But we didn’t. After an American newsman said England’s violent crime rate was more than ours, British politicians screamed “bloody murder.” Then they admitted he was right. That their crime rate outstrips ours in many areas. Mostly because carrying guns is effectively banned there. But criminals do not obey laws, so they keep their guns. They buy them out of the trunks of cars in alleys and on the street from illicit gun dealers, whose business only gets better where anti-gun laws are tight. Australia learned that, when they effectively banned guns in the hands of honest people and their crime rate went up 300%. (Reason Magazine)
