Didja ever wonder why there is so much “deadwood” in high places in business and government? That’s because of the “Peter Principle,” which says, “in a hierarchy, each person tends to rise until he (she) reaches his (her) level of incompetence.” A corollary to that is that after the “Peter Principle” has been in effect long enough, incompetence becomes a REQUIREMENT for hiring them.
