No Common Sense

You might have noticed that I sign many of my posts “just common sense.” There’s a reason for that. That signifies that this particular post is my OPINION, based on common sense, as is NOTHING the Obama administration does. Nothing they do makes any sense to me, or anybody else who DOES want this economy to come back and prosper. Obama and his gang of thieves are PURPOSELY trying to destroy this economy so he can impose collectivism (socialism, fascism) on us by falsely blaming CAPITALISM for our woes. (Just common sense)

Taxing Boob Jobs

“We have yet another new tax from Obama and the Democrats! Do these people just sit around all day long looking for something to tax? [Yes, they do. –RT] Where do you think we would be if Democrats spent one half of the time they spend thinking about new taxes, thinking of ways to cut the size and cost of government? How much better off do you think we would be?” Unfortunately, they just don’t think that way. They think the ONLY way to make things better is to find more ways to tax us. Taxing boob jobs is not surprising. In fact, I’m surprised they didn’t think of it earlier since they're the biggest boobs out there. (Neal Boorz)

Obama Won't Admit It

Nidal Hasan, the killer who murdered 13 people in the “gun-free zone” on Ft. Hood, was just “a shooter,” intimating the GUN was at fault. He was just a Muslim in the Army who was “picked on” until he “snapped.” Never mind he screamed “Allah Akbar (“God is Good”) before he opened fire on those unarmed soldiers returning from their duty posts (just like other Islamic extremists do). Never mind he was very honest about being an extremist Jihadist, even going so far as to make a slide presentation saying suicide bombers were like soldiers falling on a grenade to protect their companions instead of murderous terrorists killing innocent people. Never mind he used his position as a “counselor” to returning soldiers to try and recruit them for the Jihad. The Obama administration refuses to call him an Islamic terrorist so they will not have to admit to an Islamic terrorist  attack on U. S. soil (the second one since Obama took office). That’s how Obama handles uncomfortable things like that. Just don’t let it be called what it actually IS. (Just common sense)

Law of Supply and Demand

Two Russian economists, neither of which had ever lived in a free market society, understood this: " 'Everything is interconnected in the world of prices, so that the smallest change in one element is passed along the chain to millions of others.' 'What does that mean? It means that a huge increase in the demand for ice cream can mean higher prices for catchers' mitts, among other things. When more cows are needed to produce more milk to make ice cream, then fewer cows will be slaughtered and that means less cowhide available to make baseball gloves. Supply and demand mean that catchers' mitts are going to cost more." This is easy to understand, but is not understood by our po0liticians and bureaucrats, who all think they can violate this law with impunity. Unfortunately for them, this law CANNOT be violated with impunity. This is why their grandiose plans usually fail and it is US who suffer for it. (Prof. Thomas Sowell)

What'll It Take?

Sen. Barney Frank (D-MA) was present when his gay partner was arrested for growing pot in his apartment. He was not charged. The liberal media was not interested, as they usually aren’t when a DEMOCRAT gets in trouble. They weren’t interested when a previous gay partner was found to be running a gay whorehouse out of his apartment. In the pot case, he said “I don’t know what a pot plant looks like!” He DOESN’T? He’s a United States SENATOR! I even know what a pot plant looks like! And I’m probably one of the few people living who have never smoked pot. I’ve seen one on television. It is unbelievable to me that he has never seen one! If he doesn’t know what one looks like, he is unalterably STUPID and has no business BEING a senator. Congress doesn’t seem much interested in punishing him for his stupid acts, either.

Yes, they did “slap his hands” when the gay whorehouse in his apartment was found. WAS he completely unaware of this? (He probably thought his "partner" was just "bringing friends home"). I doubt it. He helped install the “Citizen’s Reinvestment Act of 1976” into law. You know, the law that FORCED lenders to loan money to deadbeats and led to the biggest financial meltdown since the depression of 1929, and all to ensure the election of Democrats in the 2008 elections? He was also instrumental in creating and running Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, those two federally run corporations that bought up all those “toxic” mortgages created by the monster HE created, while siphoning off money for the top executives. I also find it hard to believe some of that money didn’t end up in his pocket. What will it take to get this obvious CRIMINAL out of the Congress? Apparently, even ten years of a Republican administration couldn’t do it. This guy needs to be in PRISON, not the Congress. Will it ever happen? Probably not. (My Fox, Boston)

Rewriting History

Never Admit Raising Taxes

And insist it is NOT a rise in taxes. It will be a new “fee” or an increase in the cost of doing business with the government. To me, ANY money you have to pay to the government is a tax. Obama After the Internet

The Internet is the biggest source of truth, and Obama hates that. So he wants to take control of the Internet so he can control what truth” is put out. He wants to make sure it’s HIS “truth,” and nothing else. He calls it “net neutrality,” but of course, it is nothing of the sort. It is “neutral” only in the fact that he wants to control what appears there and make sure it doesn’t reveal any of his secrets. If he makes it, forget about me, and all the other purveyors of truth he calls “misinformers.” (Glenn Beck)

Unconstitutional Laws

Our lawmaking bodies are constantly and (if we let them) passing laws that are patently unconstitutional, then enforcing them until somebody who has enough money to hire expensive lawyers and take it to court succeeds in having it DECLARED unconstitutional. It happened in Colorado, where Democrats attempted to pass a law allowing them to steal . . . er, uh, confiscate cars driven by people who don’t have their driver’s licenses with them. It would be “cruel and unusual punishment,” since that car might be worth $50,000. A BIG punishment for a small paper violation. But it “went down in flames,” losing by almost 2 to 1. I guess we’re not TOTALLY stupid yet. But they’ll try again, count on it. That's their "modus operandi." Come at us over and over until they "wear us down." (Denver Post)

China Says No

Communist China is arguably the biggest polluter in the world, but they have said they will not observe the Copenhagen Treaty supposedly to reduce worldwide pollution. It just amazes me how many otherwise intelligent people (one would think) BUY AlGore’s global warming swindle (now renamed, “Climate Change,” since the world hasn’t been “warming” since 2000). But buy it they do, and spend a lot of money on such time and money wasters as the Copenhagen Treaty meeting (In addition to buying those phony “carbon credits” from Gore’s company, while making him millions). Gore says pollution is mostly responsible for “climate change,” but he has no REAL science to back it up. He won’t hear anybody who disagrees with him (and tries to “shut them up”) and, though he won’t even TRY to answer their points, he labels them as “out of the mainstream.” What the hell gives him the right to decide who is “in the mainstream” and who is not? Just Lower Taxes!

Obama and his gang are giving us a LOT of (taxpayer’s) money, hoping to “stimulate” the economy (an even “dollar for dollar” trade, no increase). Why not just lower taxes by that much instead of collecting the money from those who EARN it and GIVING it to those who don’t? The answer is: if they can GIVE that money (and control to whom it is “given,”) they get more POWER. They won’t even entertain the IDEA of just lowering taxes, even though it has created “boom conditions” every time it has been tried, even by a DEMOCRAT president (John Kennedy) Why do they ignore the “easy solution?” It doesn’t allow them to CONTROL it. And they are all about CONTROL. Everything they do or even SUGGEST gives them more CONTROL. If you can’t see that, there’s no hope for you. (Just common sense)

Ignoring the Constitution

So what else is new? This country itself has been ignoring the Constitution since almost before the ink dried on its signing (Check out “The Whiskey Wars”). There are more unconstitutional laws on the books that there are those that are constitutional! But nobody has, so far, come up with enough money to pay the lawyers and court costs required to get them DECLARED so. That’s one of the biggest flaws IN the Constitution: people have to VIOLATE it and “make a constitutional case” out of it before it can be resolved. There is no mechanism to make sure it IS constitutional BEFORE it can be enforced. So legislators keep on, merrily making laws with abandon, not even CARING if the laws they make are, or are not constitutional. (Town Hall/LaShawn Barber)
