Don't Hold Your Breath

"The Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission has kicked off its long-awaited hearings by promising a "thorough examination of the root causes" of the subprime scandal. But don't hold your breath." They will be questioning representatives of the banking industry, but not those of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which was not only instrumental in the “meltdown,” they were PIVOTAL. Barney Frank, who was always “in the way” when Bush tried to investigate Fannie and Freddie is not on the witness list. Don’t look for them to look at THE AUTHORS OF THE Democrat-passed, in a Democrat administration (Jimmy Carter) Congress “Citizen’s Reinvestment Act of 1976,” the law that CREATED the “financial meltdown, since it FORCED the lenders to loan money to those who could not, would not, repay it, thus creating economic chaos. Fannie and Freddie bought up those “toxic assets” until the Democrats (with Barney at the forefront) “took them over” just before the 2008 election, thus almost guaranteeing a big Democrat victory, and a “bloodless coup,” allowing the Democrats to “take over” all three houses of government. Don’t look for there to be ANY mention of this in this “investigation.” (Investor’s Business Daily)

Playing Fast and Loose With Words

Economists say we’re no longer in a recession, but the national jobless rate is still 10% or more. Some professions have a much higher rate; such as construction, which is at 17%. Economists call it “a jobless recovery.” What’s that? It’s NOT a “recovery” if we still have a high jobless rate, but they won’t admit it. The jobless numbers ARE getting a LITTLE better, mostly because many people have reached the end of their jobless money and have just stopped looking. When the money stops they don’t come in any more, and when that happens, they are no longer counted in the jobless figures, thus giving a false lower reading. (Investor’s Business Daily)

Buying Off the Taliban

What a STUPID idea, and one that can only be viewed as a weakness by the Taliban. This will only strengthen their resolve to kill more innocent people for not believing the same way they do. I can’t believe the news media, even Fox, is taking this seriously, even engaging in debate over it. That politicians take it seriously is not surprising, considering the politicians now running this country. What kind of piddling little sissies are they, to even CONSIDER paying the Taliban money not to attack us. They will take any money offered, and attack us anyway, claiming it is “other people” still attacking. Damn! We need to get rid of these wimpy politicians as spoon as possible, before they give away the entire country to the terrorists. (The Examiner)

No Fed Audit

The Federal Reserve CONTROLS our money supply and it’s head serves at “the pleasure of the president.” But it will NOT open its books to ANYBODY; president or not. Who screwed up and allowed that when the Fed was created? When you create an organization that CONTROLS, absolutely, every dollar in the United States, you do not allow it to operate without SOME sort of oversight. But apparently we have, and the Fed has taken full advantage of that, operating a “shell game” with our money. For instance: they were ORDERED to sell certain financial products, and they did. Then they bought them back, at higher prices. This is the sort of thing they can get away with if they do not allow themselves to be audited. (Glenn Beck on the radio)

That’s what Obama and the Democrats are saying. “She was just a terrible candidate, while Brown was a good one.” That keeps them from having to admit that the PEOPLE were against Obama’s agenda and wanted to derail his ability to vote it in with his (now gone) 60-vote, "filibuster-proof majority" in the Senate. It amazes me how blind the Democrats can be to reality. Many Democrats are going to lose in the 2010 election, and they’ll come up with yet another excuse for that, which won’t make them reexamine their rape of America. So in 2012, Mickey Mouse could unseat Obama if you don't stay at home on election day because you're too cocky. (Ann Coulter)

If communist China actually IS the fastest-growing country in terms of exports it’s because they can sell things cheaper because they’re “slave-made.” Not so, you say? Tell me how each and every citizen of China today is NOT a slave. They get paid what the government SAYS they are to be paid, and that’s just barely subsistence level. So their prices are going to be lower than those quoted by ANY country that has to pay a REAL living wage. So how could they NOT be “the leader” in imports, world-wide? (Investor’s Business Daily)

Arguing About A Word

Militant gays continue to argue about changing the meaning of a word. Yes, they do want to gain the same rights for themselves as “normal” married people have. and I have nop problem with that. But that’s not all they want. They want to change the meaning of the WORD marriage. They have been offered those rights many times under other names (such as "domestic partners"), but have turned it down with a sneer, which proves their REAL intention to turn that word on its head and make it meaningless. I have nothing against what gays do in the privacy of their own bedrooms. But when they try and make the world think gay sex is “normal and natural,” I rebel. Sex is for procreation, and it was made enjoyable so people would engage in it. Gays have found a way to enjoy it with people of the same sex, and that’s their right. But that does NOT make it “normal and natural.” I would say the same thing if I were gay. (Just common sense)

Not A Single Word

Lots of words about a man’s innocent violation of airport security by bypassing an unguarded security post, but nary a word about punishment for the guard who left his post and allowed it to happen, apparently going elsewhere for a nap, according to the picture. They arrested the civilian, but nothing was said about what was done about the sleepy guard. (USA Today)

Nothing Left to Damage

Another major aftershock hit Haiti Wednesday, but didn’t do much damage. Mainly because most of the buildings have already collapsed. There wasn’t much left to be damaged further. What the hell were Haitian government people THINKING when they ignored such basic services as FIRE STATIONS? There is not a single fire station in Haiti, an island nation of more than a million people! How could they NOT have a fire service? That is complete incompetence in government. The people running this government ought to be charged with mass murder for their incompetence. All they did was “feather their own nests” as politicians do when they can, but here with complete lack of any kind of consideration for the welfare of their citizens. This is CRIMINAL mismanagement. Government Incompetence

Seems funny to me that an eight-year-old would not instantly be dismissed as a possible terrorist by airport inspectors as soon as they see him. Instead, they grill him, not once, but ever since he was 2! “He's also an 8-year-old cub scout who attends parochial school in Clifton, N.J., and has been receiving the third degree from airport security since he was 2-years-old.” Since he was 2 YEARS OLD! What incompetent jerks these people be! How can they pretend to be able to protect us when they do such things as this? Sheesh! (CBS News)

"Marsha" Coakley Loses

The “unthinkable” has happened! “Teddy Kennedy’s seat” (as if he owned it) has gone to a (shudder) REPUBLICAN in spite of all the “dirty tricks” the Democrats could throw at him. This has destroyed that 60-vote “filibuster-proof” majority they had for a short while, and which they intended to use to rape this country good. They may still rape it, but it will be even harder to do now. It amazes me they had so much trouble stuffing the health care swindle down our throats, even WITH that “unassailable” majority. This is what can happen when you reach too far, as the Democrats have been doing. I predict that when the general election comes this year, they’re going to lose a lot more seats, and we just might keep them from raping us, at least, this time. You’d have thought they’d have learned from Clinton’s defeat on this same issue. You probably noticed I called her “Marsha” in the headline. That’s because one of the (a Kennedy) congressmen who backed her called her that. Pretty bad when your own supporters don’t even know your name. (Yahoo News/AP)

Man-Caused Disaster

They call the death toll in Haiti a “natural disaster.” Not so. The real disaster (the high death toll) was caused by man. “The current tragedy in Haiti is not a natural disaster. It is a man-made disaster, caused by self-inflicted poverty — the result of decades of disregard for property rights, rule of law, and economic liberties.” (Walter E. Williams) Ever since “Papa Doc” Duvalier and before, Haiti has been run by men who care nothing for its citizens. They cared only for what they could loot from this poor country. Did you know this entire country has not a single fire station? How can anybody justify that? They have plenty of cops and mostly no guns not in the hands of cops and government agents. That it has literally NO building codes (which is why so many buildings collapsed under an earthquake smaller than the last major one that hit San Francisco with minimal damage) and thus killed hundreds of thousands? People in Haiti are crying for the U. S. to “take over” Haiti because they know we’ll take better care of them than their own government, such as it is. (Professor Walter E. Williams)

Bipartisanship

That’s what liberals (Democrats) are always on about, which is stupid. There IS no bipartisanship in a free (or mostly free) country. The only place where there is bipartisanship is in a DICTATORSHIP, where dissention is not allowed, and is grounds for a prison sentence. The Founders DESIGNED partisanship into this country’s political system when they specified three different branches of government, and more than one political party. They WANTED dissention because they wanted opposing views always to be heard. The Founders themselves were deeply divided on how to set this country up. Liberals (whatever they were called then) wanted a powerful central government. Others wanted a weak central government, with all the power centered in the PEOPLE. The others obviously won, although the liberals have gone far toward destroying that. Now they’re talking about bipartisanship again, now that liberals are in power. They want NO opposition to their collectivist notions, and they’re determined to accomplish it. (Just common sense)

"Anti-Muslim Backlash" Myth

 Muslim organizations are trying to push the MYTH of “anti-Muslim backlash” to keep Americans from giving special attention to Muslims in our efforts to keep extremist Muslims from killing us. There may even be some unfair actions against innocent Muslims, but the extremist Muslims should have thought of that before they started killing innocent people who don’t follow THEIR religion. But we’re not stupid (I hope). We WILL continue to profile Muslims and examine them much more closely than we do other people (unless Obama stops us) because it is MUSLIMS who are killing us for the most part. We will try and not be too hard on innocent Muslims, but sometimes things do happen when only part of a very visible group do bad things. But we are NOT going to “lay off” Muslims just because they’re whining. Meanwhile, extremist Muslim attacks on Jews are “on the rise,” and Jews are not killing people who don’t subscribe to their religion. (Investor’s Business Daily)
