We need to stop our dependence on foreign oil to defund the Saudis and other Middle-Eastern potentates who waited until American oil interests struck oil, then “nationalized” (stole) the oil fields, forcing us to buy a lot of our oil from them. Meanwhile the American government refused to allow those same oil companies to drill in any land where WE controlled things. Somehow, they just don’t understand that we can STOP our dependence on the foreign oil the Middle Easterners stole from US. Just by allowing us to drill in our own territory. Another way we can reduce it is to use synthetic oil in our cars. Synthetics do use a small amount of fossil oil in its makeup; about 6%. But if enough car owners started using it, we’d scare the daylights out of the foreign suppliers and their prices would come right down, (
