Straw Men

They blame the bankers for their problems, saying "they have been given much money." But they bludgeoned those bankers into TAKING that money and most of it has been paid back because they didn't NEED it. Still, they use the words, "the bankers have been given much money" in blaming them for the economic problems they, in fact, CREATED with the law they passed FORCING lenders to loan money to people who could not repay it (The “Citizen’s Reinvestment Act of 1976), a "recipe for disaster" they're STILL enforcing. Why they’re still enforcing it, I don’t know, since it got them in power and is now not needed. I know it’s hard to believe your politicians are “running a game” on you, but they are. Politicians on both sides do it, but this time it is a concerted effort to get Democrats in power and keep them there. They want to create a socialist country by blaming capitalism for our problems, even though it was THEIR meddling in the economy that messed things up. I’ve said this many times before, and I’m getting tired of saying it and being ignored by people who won’t take time to PAY ATTENTION to what their politicians are doing to them. (Just common sense)

"Tailoring" Polls

This writer is a liberal, and even HE is confused at the different ranges of opinions shown in different polls. Apparently, he doesn’t realize how easy it is to make a poll say what you want it to say. If you want it to say something to support a liberal position, take it in an area known to be where mostly liberals live, such as New York City. Then there are the questions you ask. You tailor the questions to get the answers you want and allow no other answers. Then, if you get any answers that run contrary to the line you want to pursue, just ignore them. Don’t include them in your report.

This is how the liberal media pushes the liberal template on everything they do. Many times they use such polls to MAKE news. The next thing you do is to twist the headline about your poll to say what you want for all the “headline readers” out there. You know; the people who only read the headlines in a newspaper or on television. In one recent poll. 43% said one thing (what the liberals wanted) while 41% said just the opposite. Guess which opinion got more attention in the headline. (CBS News/Coop’s Corner)

Senator Byrd Dies

Good riddance. It’s people like him who take a long time to die. Maybe there’s something to that old saw about “being too evil to die.” The people of the State of West Virginia have much to answer for in that they inflicted this monster upon us for so long, KNOWING he was a former top-ranking member of the Ku Klux Klan and a racist bigot, apt to foment laws and regulations inimical to freedom. He is best known for the “pork” he has brought to his state and the many things he thus has named after him in that state. In W. Virginia, you can’t drive a mile without seeing something with his name on it. As a member of the Klan, there’s no telling how many people’s deaths for which he is responsible.

In 1944, he wrote to racist Senator Theodore Bilbo (D-MS) that said, “I shall never fight in the armed forces with a N-gro by my side ... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.” They SAY he was no longer a racist, but I submit that “once a racist, always a racist,” though it was good for his career to hide it in his later life. Remember, he FILIBUSTERED the Equal Rights Amendment and voted AGAINST it. Though later on, he SEEMED to be moving in another direction, conveniently. It is common to “eulogize” people when they die, but some do not deserve it. Byrd was such a man. I make no apologies for “saying something bad about the dead.”  (Fox Business)

Any Way to Get More Cash

Politicians have long wished for more money for politicians who actually have a CHANCE (or who can pay off the right person) to get more of their campaign bills paid for by the voter. “Imagine you are competing in a marathon. Every time you pull into the lead, someone picks up the other runners in a van and lets them off next to you. When you object, he says you are still free to run as hard as you want.” This is the way liberals want it in everything, not just elections. Killing the Gulf

Interior Secretary Ken Salazar is going to put out a new ban on drilling in the Gulf after the Supreme Court struck down the original one, despite the fact that ANY such ban will be a DISASTER for us in our efforts to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, not to mention destroying the economy of the area. It appears they are DETERMINED to destroy the economy of the Gulf area and will try everything they can to accomplish it. Obama has shown he is after destroying the economy of the entire United States, and this will be a large part of it. They will use every trick in the book to get around the court and destroy the economy of the Gulf. Look for this battle to continue for a long time with Gulf residents suffering the effects of it. Obama certainly doesn’t care about them, or anybody but himself. (Fox News)

100% Election Win

That’s what you can expect in a dictatorship such as exists in N. Korea. Anybody who doesn’t vote for the “dear leader” without PERMISSION can expect to die in prison, or at least to grow old there. Such was the case in Iraq in Saddam’s last years in power. In one election he won by a 90% vote. In the next, 100%. Nobody knows what happened to that 10% who didn’t vote for him in the earlier election, but I’d bet some of them remained in prison until the United States overthrew him. (Michael Gerson/Town Hall)

Do They Even Know What They're Saying?

The very people who approved of George Soros’ “Betrayus” ad about George Bush’s general, Patraeus, are today “crowing” about his APPOINTMENT of Patraeus as commanding general in Afghanistan. They call it “brilliant.” Do they really understand what they’re SAYING? Or do they just think we are too STUPID to remember? How stupid ARE these people? Maybe that’s why Obama’s numbers are so low (now in the 40s). He and his people only do what will make things worse in all things. I feel sorry for people who still admire Obama and his doings. As somebody once said, “Forgive them for they know not what they do.” (Just common sense)

Blame Others

That’s Obama’s “modus operandi.” Never take real responsibility for your own shortcomings. SAY you are, but blame others in the next breath, usually George Bush. Yes, Bush deserves SOME of the blame, but not ALL of it. Every time there is a problem, you can count on Obama to blame someone else, even if it is obvious the blame belongs to him alone. A Most High Honor

Glenn Beck has been named “the most hated person in America” by liberals. To me, that is one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon him, if taken in context. I’m sure Rush Limbaugh is on that list with a high ranking. Sean Hannity, too. But Glenn has been extremely effective and so holds the number one position. If you ARE effective, they pile hate on top of hate upon you, as they have done to everybody on the “right” who has been effective in exposing their lies to the world. The more they hate you the more effective you are in stopping or at least slowing down their efforts to control us all. It is a high honor to be hated by the left. (Town Hall)

About Obama's Upbringing

Braaaccckkk Obama is a communist. Or at the very least a socialist (both are collectivist). Wherever he was actually born, his upbringing was controlled by communists and Islamic extremists and that’s the way he thinks. This video takes nine minutes, but is a “must see” for anybody who supports Obama and his socialistic/collectivist views. This man has no business being president of a free nation that uses CAPITALISM to make it the best, most prosperous nation in the world. He is working feverishly to destroy that, and may succeed if we allow him to continue See this video before it is removed again. Destroying America As We Know It

That’s Obama’s plan. If you don’t believe it, look at what he has done in his first 18 months: Create a huge entitlement we cannot afford, universal health care; Cap & Trade, an enormous redistribution of (your) wealth to those who don’t earn it; Puerto Rico statehood. Who needs it? Legalize 12 million illegal immigrants, all of whom can be reliably expected to vote Democrat; stimulus and bailouts. Slush funds Obama uses to buy the loyalty of such large corporations as GM, AIG, etc. Does anybody really know where all that money has gone? Raise taxes during a recession when people already don’t have enough money. All this is designed to overload the system so he can blame it all on capitalism so he can establish a collectivist (Marxist, socialist, Fascist) system with him in charge. What amazes me is that so many people do not see this. I guess Germans couldn't see Hitler gaining power either. (Wayne Allen Root)

Nancy's Unusual Honest Moment

She’s not honest very often, but Nancy Peelosi stumbled onto the truth when she said this: “When will the blame Bush parade end? Nancy Pelosi says "when all the problems go away." That could be the most honest Pelosi moment ever because she's admitting they will continue to blame Bush until we live in a perfect world. 'Blame Bush' pretty much sums up this administration - even though Obama has recently implored Americans to 'make no excuses'. Just Couldn't Take It Any More

General McChrystal was legally wrong to criticize his president while he is working for him. But he is MORALLY right to do so. My guess is, he just got enough of the stupid orders that were coming down to him “from on high” and “let loose.” Wimpy liberals in office caused us to lose the Viet Nam war when we were on the verge of winning it, big. McChrystal saw the same thing coming again and didn’t want to be the general in charge when it happened again. So when he saw the orders concerning the new medal to be given for NOT shooting if there was even an “off chance” of killing a non-combatant, he snapped and told that ignorant liberal reporter for “Rolling Stone” just exactly what he thought. Doing so might end his military career, but I’d bet he doesn’t care any more. (The Examiner)

Muslim Infiltration

One of the things the Muslim extremists do best is infiltration. They use the fear of “offending people” and “bigotry” to gain employment where they can do the most damage to Americans. Here is the case of a man who is a well known Muslim agitator who goes to work for the liberal New York Times covering “Muslim Issues.” Does anybody think this man will be “even-handed” in his coverage of this subject? Gulf Oil Spill: Sabotage?

I’m surprised it took the conspiracy theorists so long to come up with this, but it DOES raise a question: with all the damage done by this spill, COULD it be the work of people who want to do us harm? It would be easy to bring off with the “environmental lobby” working so hard to keep us from taking advantage of our own oil resources, forcing the oil companies to go further and further out into the sea to escape federal regulations keeping them from drilling closer in so as not to “hurt the sensibilities” of liberals by having to look at oil drilling rigs (shudder!) with the additional difficulty in handling spills that are attendant to deep water drilling. It does seem to have brought their desired result: Obama “suspending” for “six months” (Do you believe that? I think the "suspension" will last as long as he is president, and beyond if liberals retain any kind of control.) ANY new drilling, especially in the Gulf, which destroys the livelihood of thousands of people who DEPEND on oil drilling for their very survival. When you look at it, everything Obama has done in the Gulf makes things worse. All he has done is get in the way. Thirteen different countries have offered help, using technology they use all the time in deep water spills, but were all summarily refused because of an easily suspended law, the Jones Act, a 1920s law made to “protect” mariners and other union people.

When the governor of Louisiana got tired of asking for Obama’s permission to DO something that could work and did it anyway, Obama sent his thugs down to stop him. Can’t have a REPUBLICAN accomplishing something a DEMOCRAT couldn’t do! IS it sabotage? Is Obama helping? I don’t know. I just know his actions look VERY suspicious. Everything Obama DOES makes things worse; in the Gulf, and everywhere else. Why is that? Is he TRYING to destroy the capitalist system? We KNOW he hates “big business,” even though without big business there would not be anything for him to steal. He has vowed to BANKRUPT the coal industry, even though without coal, there will be no electricity. Does he not know this? I doubt it. He “demonizes big oil,” and every other industry ESSENTIAL to our survival. Why? Is he REALLY that stupid? If he is, he needs to be impeached and removed from office before he can destroy this country. (Erik Rush/World Net Daily)
