Can't Be Conservative in Hollywood

It used to be that you could not be a communist in Hollywood because of Joe McCarthy; and they still criticize anybody who wants to “blacklist” anybody there—except themselves. Today it is “verboten” to have ANY views that do not adhere to the liberal template. It is as “normal and natural” as is breathing. But they don’t notice that. To them, it is just “right” that ANYBODY who believes people should be allowed to defend themselves and own and carry the means to that end should be “shunned.” They believe anybody who believes conservatives should be allowed to freely express their views should be silenced, while those espousing LIBERAL views should be allowed to speak freely. It’s a constitutional right, though not for the right. I can’t tell you how many Hollywood stars I’ve PERSONALLY blacklisted, refusing to see ANYTHING they’re in, starting with “Hanoi Jane.” I don’t try and tell anybody else who they should avoid, but as long as their views don’t affect their box office they will continue to spout drivel. Obama vs. Bobby Jindal

That’s all Obama needs; a Republican governor doing something EFFECTIVE to reduce the effects of the Gulf Oil spill where Obama could not. That’s why Jindal could not get approval for anything he wanted to do from the Obama administration. He’s a Republican and has been mentioned prominently as a presidential or vice-presidential candidate in the 2012 election. It just would not do for him to come up with a solution to the oil spill that had escaped Obama. For my part, I think Jindal is much more intelligent than Obama or anybody he can, or will appoint to one of his “commissions” to make it look like he’s actually DOING something. Opinion polls show Obama is still popular, but opinion polls can be made to say anything you want, depending upon just whom you ask, and what questions you ask. (The Feldman Blog)

Obama's "Jobless Recovery"

It is NOT a “recovery” if there are no new jobs beyond those that would have occurred anyway; such as the “temporary hires” the government hired, then fired, then hired again, counting them as “new hires” each time. This kind of “number finagling” is common for politicians, particularly liberal politicians in either party. They also count the 40,000 or more new IRS employees who will soon be hard at work trying to get more tax money out of all of us. So far, the only new hires that MIGHT add to the Gross National Product is 42,000 workers in the construction industry, whose jobs we KNOW will be temporary. But Obama does not emphasize the difference when he touts the “new jobs” that have happened during his administration. Meanwhile, he is passing bill after bill into law that will raise our taxes during a recession (a “no-no”) and creating entitlements that will cost the government BILLIONS, even TRILLIONS of dollars it does not have. Obama doesn’t have a clue as to how to make things better, though he makes speech after speech saying he does. (Heritage Foundation)

We're Not Prepared!

Nine years after 9/11, we are not prepared to handle a major terrorist attack involving a nuclear device. That come from a report issued by the Inspector General of the Justice Department last MAY. Did you hear about it? Not likely. Exposing such a weakness in our defenses would not fit the “template” of the left, and thus the liberal media ignored it. But Peggy Noonan didn’t. This article, on the Patriot Post (Yeah, it’s a “right-wing publication. What did you expect when the left wants to ignore it?) tells us, in detail, what is happening. We’re lucky Obama can’t COMPLETELY cover this up. But I’d bet this revelation doesn’t become a “big thing” in the liberal media. They will do their best to ignore it so as to not embarrass that jerk sitting in the president’s chair. (Peggy Noonan/Patriot Post)

Mexican Kid Killed At Border

They tried to pass it off as a bunch of kids “playing a game,” darting back and forth across the border. That, in itself is stupid, if true. But it is not. It was a PROVEN drug-smuggling operation and the kid who was killed while throwing rocks (considered a deadly weapon) at the Border Control officers while Mexican POLICE came across and picked something up. One Border Patrol officer (who was all alone) got enough of it and shot one of the boys, who turned out to be a FIVE-TIME deported drug smuggler, and one of the most wanted. This changes the whole story. But don’t expect the liberal media to update their stories, because this doesn’t fit their template. The video in the link below “tugs at the heartstrings” but the kid being a hardened drug smuggler doesn’t change the grief shown by his relatives. It is typical of the liberal media coverage. His family denies he was trying to cross the border, and they're right. He was smuggling DRUGS or PEOPLE across the border. (BBC)

Jihadists Try to Shut Down "Atlas Shrugs"

That’s right. They tried to get PayPal, one of the best known methods to pay for anything on the Internet, but which is a VERY liberal organization, and doesn’t mind shutting people down if they don’t agree with what they’re selling. In this instance, they canceled the account of a web site that advances Ayn Rand’s Objectivism, trying to say it “pushed hatred.” They couldn’t say HOW it did that, as with most liberals, they just “made the pronouncement” and hoped people would believe it, as usual for liberals. But they didn’t count on the power of blogs on the Internet and were soon apologizing and reopening her account. Hopefully, she will re-cancel her account and go with one of their competitors. That’s the way the free market works. They don't like my supplier because he markets personal defense items and, being liberals, they don't like that. So I don't use them at all. And neither do his thousands of distributors. (Atlas Shrugs)

Reuters "Doctors" Photos

Reuters, a well-known supporter of the Palestinians, has been accused of doctoring photos to make the Israelis look more vicious, and they’re doing it again. I guess they can’t demonize Israel enough with truth, so they lie. This is something that has been going on for a long time. Palestinians attack Israelis; Israelis retaliate, and Israelis are condemned for their retaliation while nothing is said about the Palestinian provocation. This is how you “demonize” an entire people; one that is continually attacked and is capable of defending itself. You lie about them, any way you can. It’s hard to defend against that, unless you can catch them in the act, as they did here. (Israel National News)

America Rich, World Poor

Why is that? Why is America the richest country in the world while every other country can’t match us? Capitalism, that’s why! This country was BASED on a capitalist economy, which gave every person who WORKED AT IT, an even chance to prosper. John Stossel “hit it right on the head” in this article on Atlasphere when he said, “America's current struggles notwithstanding, life here is pretty good. We have a standard of living that's the envy of most of the world. Why did that happen? Prosperity isn't the norm, world wide. Throughout history and throughout the world, poverty has been the norm. Most of the world still lives in dire poverty. This country's "poor" are RICH by comparison to the "poor" in other countries. Of the 6 billion people on earth, perhaps 1 billion have something close to our standard of living. Why did America prosper when most of the people of the world are still poor?” Socialism is the reason why so many people in this world are poor, while we are rich. And Obama is trying his best to IMPOSE socialism on this country. China, which IS a “socialist country (communist, actually) is growing even faster than we are today—not because of socialism, which they impose on their citizens, but because of the CAPITALISM, which they PRACTCE when dealing with other countries. Nobody will Want to Come Here

Obama keeps criticizing this country, making me want to ask this question: If we’re so bad, why do people want to emigrate here by the millions? Even to the extent of breaking the law to do so? This is the first president in memory who HATES this country and all it stands for. He says, among other things, that NO country should strive to be better than another. Why? This sounds like having a baseball game or an auto race that has no winner and loser. Another stupid liberal idea. I think he’s trying to make this country into a place where NOBODY will want to emigrate. Tinsley apparently agrees with me (or is it the other way around?). I do know Obama is working hard to make a “socialist paradise” like they used to have in Russia out of America. Apparently Tinsley agrees with me (or is it the other way around?). (Mallard Fillmore)

Incompetent "Authorities"

In Aruba, the “authorities” are incompetent.Joran Van Der sloot murdered a girl, and even CONFESSED! Van Der Sloot is a typical young rich playboy who has never had to earn a living or be told “no” by anybody. He thinks laws are not for him. He can do anything he wishes and his family’s money will buy him out of it. Joran gave an interview to Fox after his father’s death, and was asked what he wanted out of all this (The Natalee Holloway case). His answer: “I guess for it just all to be over, that’s it, just for me to be able to get on with everything and feel okay, that’s what I ultimately want out of it.” He wants it to “be over” so he can “get on with his life as a playboy neer-do-well (the fact that the girl he murdered can't do likewise is apparently lost on him). To him, this, and the hooraw over his SECOND known murder, is just an “inconvenience.” There's no telling how many others he has killed that we don't know of. He still thinks his family’s money will keep him out of prison. But he’s wrong. He’s not in Aruba now, and in the prison where he’s going, he’ll find out what it’s like to be raped and maybe murdered, as were his victims. (Thaindian News)

A Pattern of Corruption

They’re desperate. The Obama administration is showing a pattern of Chicago-style corruption in a desperate attempt to stay in power after raping and pillaging this country for all it can give. Obama has looted and pillaged the taxpayers of this country like no president before him. His people offered Congressman Joe Sestak a job in a futile effort to keep him from running against Arlen Specter (which did no good, since Specter lost in the primaries). They offered Colorado Democrat Andrew Romanoff any one of THREE jobs in Washington if he would not get into the race against Colorado’s appointed Senator. These are just the two instances we KNOW about, which means there are any number of felony job offers out there we DON’T know about. They know they’re going to be “massacred” in the next two elections, and they’re trying anything they can try to minimize it. Even the liberal press can’t ignore it. (Washington Post)

Obama Blind to Islamic Terrorism

He won’t even let his people utter the words “Islamic terrorism” or “Islamic extremism.” He will not call the “war on terror” what it is. I forget the term he wants us to use because I will not use it. I will “call a spade a spade” (and that has nothing to do with black people, as liberals will insist it does). I will use words that best describe things, unencumbered by the dictates of a president who thinks he is king. He is ignorant of the facts, and if not, he is STUPID. Ignorance is lack of knowledge. Stupidity is knowing the facts and ignoring them. That best describes Obama and his supporters, whoever they are. (News Max/Ronald Kessler)

Do They Know How?

Many people are hollering for the government (or even the military) to “take over” the job of plugging the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. What makes them think the government knows anything more about how to plug the leak than does the oil company, which has at least dealt with similar problems in the past. There are way too many Americans who think the government is the answer to just about ANY problem we have. It is NOT. Usually, the government is the CAUSE of the problem and has no idea how to solve it, except to raise taxes or ban something. Then throw money at it. Not their own, of course; yours. That’s what Stephanopoulos thinks (he of the “contradicting his own notebook” fame). Yes, SOME Democrats did win in DEMOCRAT primaries. But the real stories will be told in November when the REAL elections are held, with Democrats against REPUBLICANS. I guess Stephanopoulos is still a Democrat apologist, even though he is supposed to now suddenly be “neutral” now that he is a “talking head” in the news media. Can you show me a SINGLE Democrat former government employee who EVER became “neutral” in his/her political opinions when he/she went to work for the media? (Media Research Center)

Millions of Democrat Votes

Obama wants all those new Democrat votes so badly he is going to court to have Arizona’s immigration law demanding the feds ENFORCE the immigration laws declared unconstitutional, which it is NOT. He sees ALL those illegal immigrants as votes in the Democrat column and will do everything he can to confirm them. Even if he has to go to war with one of his states. Only problem is, a number of other states are looking at passing similar laws. Will he go to the Supreme Court on each of them? Will he send in the National Guard to enforce his wishes, as Ike did?
