She must have gotten whiplash, they did it so quickly. Then they denied it. They precipitously fired Shirley Sherrod, who was at the time State director, USDA Rural Development because “she was to be on Glenn Beck’s show because of her remarks before a NAACP meeting. They said they were conned by Fox News, an organization they say they don’t take seriously, ever. She did NOT appear on the Beck program, and Glenn didn’t even know about her until AFTER the White House demanded her resignation while she was still in her car on her way home after the speech (Boy, Beck must scare the hell out of them!). I don’t think I’ve ever seen the White House act so quickly, and on so little evidence, to fire a
black woman. They are still claiming they didn’t fire her, but that’s just semantics. They DEMANDED her resignation, which means if she doesn’t resign, she WILL be fired. Now they’re “reconsidering” her firing. (
