Am I A Conservative?

Probably not, because conservatism contains a few things to which I do not subscribe, particularly their reliance on biblical expressions to make their points, and their wish to eliminate such things as gay sex and gay marriage, among other things. I do not believe in interfering in what other people do in the privacy of their bedrooms (government should stay OUT of the bedroom). Neither do I believe they should be stopped from making contracts similar to a marriage contract; contracts that give their partners the same rights and privileges as married couples. But do I wish to allow them to use the word “marriage?” . . . No. Marriage has always been, and will continue to be, a contract between a man and a woman. They have been offered this, but have consistently refused all offers that did not include the use of the word “marriage.”

Personally, if I were gay, I wouldn’t want to advertise it to the world by "getting married" to a member of my own sex. But this kind of thing is not the most important thing in my life, as it seems to be with many liberals. There are other things I could go into, but I don’t have room here to list them. So I cannot claim to be a conservative, nor a Libertarian, for the same reason. What I DO call myself is a “rational individualist.” I may be the only such in the country and the world because that is a very small group. That means I make ALL my own decisions, and those who wish to make them for me can go to hell in a handbasket. I want the government OUT of my life; I want fewer taxes (they don’t have the right to take more than 50% of what I earn and waste it). That means I also want a smaller government with fewer powers. There are more things I want, but this will suffice here. (Just common sense)

Ahhh...But Is It Illegal?

NYC cops stopped and questioned a pretty girl for riding her bike wearing a short skirt (I think they just wanted to talk to her up close and personal). Seems they thought it was “dangerous” to do so, and might have caused an accident. But is it illegal? I think not. I certainly HOPE not. I’ve seen the photo and she IS “sufficiently covered” not to have been breaking the law—unless blue noses have made a law I haven’t heard of recently. Of course the cops didn’t believe her because she didn’t get the cop’s name. “ ‘Whether this story bears even a modest semblance of what actually occurred is impossible to establish without being provided the purported officer’s name and getting his side of the story,’ Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne told the Daily News.” Which means such things will continue unless that cop “’fesses up,” which I don’t think is going to happen. She went back to her hotel and changed. I would not have done so. To hell with that cop. (New York Daily News)

Liberals Harass Glenn Beck

This is how liberals operate. We all know liberals are in the majority in New York City, and they keep electing liberals to office there; consequently, New York City has already gone broke before, and is only still in business because of “bailouts” from other liberals. Many big cities have gone broke because of the incompetence of liberals all across this country. But the actions of this heavily liberal crowd around Beck (and his family) was WAY out of line, and fueled by “bottled courage, coupled with the effect of their majority in this park. Glenn and his family stayed through the whole movie in spite of the nasty treatment they received because what that crowd WANTED was for them to leave early and have their night’s entertainment ruined. Or they wanted to say something that will cause Glenn to "break" and commit violence upon their "non-violent" persons so they can holler about it for weeks, even years. They shouted about “diversity” while trying to get rid of the diversity Glenn brings to the world. This amply illustrates the complete IGNORANCE of liberal dupes everywhere. Later, his daughter was in tears at their treatment. “I just wanted you to have a good time,” she wailed. To which Glenn replied, “I was with you; I did.” Like Glenn, I feel sorry for such people. I see no way to wake them up to their ignorance. (Glenn Beck)

Good Illustration

This comic strip is a perfect illustration of one of our biggest problems: the complete political IGNORANCE of Americans, which allows them to elect such a DUNCE as Barack Obama to be president and allow him to RAPE this country as he is doing. They just don’t “pay attention to politics.” Some are even proud of it, and others do so out of depression over how little impression they seem to have on what’s happening in Washington. I was one of the latter for many years until I had an epiphany; even if I didn’t pay attention to politics, politics WOULD pay attention to me, to my detriment. So I decided to “take a hand” in things and this blog is part of it. (Mallard Fillmore)

I'm Offended

I believe gold is a good investment. It keeps going up in spite of (or maybe BECAUSE of) rising inflation and a bad economy. But I resent somebody lying to me about the CAUSE of the bad economy, as a former government employee, himself a contributor to political corruption, tells me the cause was “risky lending” and “easy money,” which is correct. But the reason it happened was because liberals passed a LAW that FORCED those lenders to make those “risky loans” and Obama’s giving them a lot of money was “payback.” Fannie and Freddie were the “safety valve” and they “tripped it” just before the 2008 election to CREATE the economic crunch that got many Democrats, including Obama, elected. Since then, Obama has been dancing around, spending OUR money like it was water, with the help of his Democrats in Congress. If we don’t get rid of him as soon as possible, WE are going to suffer mightily. It’s interesting: I Googled “Citizen’s Reinvestment Act of 1976” and my own blogs dominated the results. I stopped looking for an official site showing the law and its effect on the economy after going six levels down without finding much beyond URLs to my own sites. That means NOBODY is talking about one of the most pivotal legislation of the last century. Not even the government, which is not surprising to me. (Just common sense)

You won't See This On "Cops"

Miami cops filled a suspect full of holes after a chase ended, then went around randomly crushing cell phones, just in case someone had filmed the killing. I don’t know if the killing was justified, but it was obviously an over reaction, since they put enough lead in him to double his weight in less than a minute. They had NO “probable cause” to take those cell phones and destroy them, but they did it anyway (illegally). Just in case someone got a video of them killing this “bad guy.” Maybe they were right in killing this guy, maybe not. But it’s obvious they weren’t sure, and didn’t want any evidence left. But there was; one man saved it to his SIM card and put it in his mouth. They missed it when they destroyed his cell phone, and now there is not only evidence of the shooting, but also of the uncalled for and illegal actions of those cops after the shooting. I’m not against cops, but I believe they should operate WITHIN the law, and their actions in this case certainly were NOT within the law. (The Blaze)

Libs Hate Bachmann Almost As Much As Sarah

Sarah Palin has yet to announce for president, but Michele Bachmann has (unofficially; maybe officially by now). She frightens liberals almost as much as Sarah and they’re starting to slam her as hard as they’ve slammed Sarah. That tells me they’re frightened. They know either one of them could “mop the floor” with Obama and they want to try and discredit both as quickly as possible. That tells me either one would get my vote if they ran. If there was a Palin/Bachmann ticket, I’d “jump up and down,” and I’m an “old fud” it would probably kill if I did. (News Busters)

Florida Doctors Ask Patients About Gun Ownershipo

“In Florida, a coalition of physicians with an anti-gun bent are insisting they have the right to ask patients whether they own guns and are storing them safely.” What I ask is, “What makes it any of their business?” So they’re trying to save their patient’s lives. So what? That doesn’t give them the right to delve into things that are none of their business, such as, “Do they own guns?” and “Do they have them safely stored?” How they think they’re going to get answers to these questions, I don’t know. Maybe they’re going to intimidate them by refusing to treat them if they don’t answer. The easy answer to that is, “Get me another doctor.” Florida passed a law against doctors asking such questions, and it is being fought on the grounds that asking such questions is “free speech.” But “free speech” is not involved. They can ask the questions all they like, so long as they recognize their patients’ “free speech right” to tell them to “go to hell.” Besides, free speech only applies to the GOVERNMENT restricting speech. Not a doctor’s patients. They have the right to tell the doctor to “go to hell.” And if it happened to me, I would definitely do so. (American Thinker)

They Killed the Intruders

And the cops arrested them. Fortunately, “cooler heads” intervened and prosecutors refused to prosecute them on the “A Man’s Home is His Castle” theory of law, allowing deadly force to repel intruders from his home (or anything else, such as his car, or even his place of work). Way too often cops do this, unnecessarily costing people a lot of money and misery when they put people in jail and force them to defend themselves against unnecessary charges when they defend themselves. I’m glad to see the St. Louis authorities are wiser than some. (News Max)

They're Getting Desperate!

An al Qaida spokesman IN America is appealing to Islamics in America to “buy guns and start shooting people” in support of the Jihad. How desperate is this? Maybe he doesn’t know that most Islamics in America, who enjoy freedoms not available to Islamics in countries under Islamic rule, don’t WANT to kill people because they don’t believe the right way. Maybe he just doesn’t realize that maybe a majority of Islamics in America don’t agree with the “Jihad,” but just don’t want to be murdered, so stay silent. Gawd, these people are STUPID! (The Blaze)

It's All They Have

Chris Matthews rants: "Beck and Limbaugh are evil liars for doubting global warming." They have no facts, so all they can do is call them names. Global Warming IS a swindle. It has made BILLIONS for AlGore. He even has the PRESIDENT believing his scam. Even some REPUBLICANS (such as Newt Gingrich) believe it. Gore has repeated his lie often enough that gullible people not only BELIEVE it, they’ll FIGHT you if you try and set them straight. They rely on a “consensus” of gullible people who PRETEND to be scientists, ignoring the FACT that a “consensus” is NOT science. Science IS, or IS NOT. How many people agree on something has nothing to do with it. Yes, the globe IS warming. It is a CYCLICAL thing. The globe warms for a while, then it cools for a while. Man is really cocky if they think they can influence that to any degree. Global warming scammers have to use false pictures like those pitiful pictures of polar bears sitting on tiny ice floes, completely forgetting polar bears can swim for hundreds of miles in freezing water without ill effects. That the number of polar bears alive today is a lot bigger than it used to be. What a bunch of fools! (The Blaze)

The Gift That Keeps On Giving

“THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING”: Count on the Democrats to pick the stupidest one among them to be the Democrat National Committee (DNC) chair. They did it with former (losing) presidential candidate Howard Dean, and now they’ve done it again with former congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who doesn’t know illegal aliens are illegal and now says It’s “natural” for Rep. Weiner (D) not to know if the picture of a large sex organ behind underwear sent to woman is his or not. Of course, he takes such pictures and posts them on the Internet all the time, so anybody could have copied it and posted it on his Twitter page. And of course, it’s a PERSONAL matter, not our business. That’s not what she said about a REPUBLICAN (Rep. Foley) in 2006, who sent “nasty notes” to congressional pages: “This goes beyond Rep. Foley, it goes to the values of the Congressional leadership. These are not family values, these are not American values.” Of course, it’s different when it’s a Democrat. Such things are “resume enhancements” for Democrats. As evidence, look at Bill Clinton, JFK, Teddy Kennedy, and other Democrats in the past. One of whom was “slapped on the wrist” when it was found his gay boyfriend was running a gay whorehouse out of his apartment. (American Thinker)

This Is What Islamic Terrorists Do

They kidnapped a nine-year-old Pakistani girl and strapped a bomb to her; one that could be remotely set off from a distance, killing her and everybody in range. This is what they do to “bring attention to their agenda.” They wanted her to go to a military checkpoint, but she escaped. Why they didn’t set off the bomb is in question. Maybe it malfunctioned; maybe they just panicked and forgot to do it. The cops are still hunting for the kidnappers/bombers. Maybe they’ll even find them. I don’t know. But this is further illustration that Islamic extremists are NOT “peaceful people” and will kill ANYBODY, even CHILDREN, to advance their agenda. And don’t even TRY to tell me there’s no proof it WAS Islamic terrorists. Nobody else is that evil or that stupid. (The Blaze)

Yet Another "Study" to Frighten Us

Now it’s cell phones. Seems like every day some liberal (who wants us to go back to how we lived 100 years ago) comes up with a “study” showing something else (modern) they “may” kill us. Those “studies” always “require more investigation” and their press releases are riddled with “mights,” “maybes,” and “possiblies;” but no definite, absolute statements, because they usually can’t offer any. But they’re couched in such a way as to scare us into allowing the government to tax us at a higher rate and make more “rules and regulations” that further limit our rights; all to “help us,” you understand. I’ve talked before about the Hegelian Principle’s three points: 1: create a problem; 2: publicize the problem; 3: Then, when people are clamoring for a “solution,” offer a solution that allows them to tax you more and control you better, all “for our own good,” of course. Defending the Indefensible

"White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley took heat from business executives Thursday for the Obama administration's regulatory expansions. Daley also said he didn't have any good answers for some of what President Obama is doing and expressed frustration about the 'bureaucratic stuff that's hard to defend. Sometimes you can't defend the indefensible,' Daley said at a National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) meeting. Daley couldn't answer basic questions and continually faced criticism from the executives in the room. The business leaders even applauded each other's criticism of the administration. 'At one point, the room erupted in applause when Massachusetts utility executive Doug Starrett, his voice shaking with emotion, accused the administration of blocking construction on one of his facilities to protect fish, saying government 'throws sand into the gears of progress,' wrote Peter Wallsten and Jia Lynn Yang in the Washington Post."
