Anybody with enough money to count makes his/her “home” in Florida or other states with no income tax. Rush Limbaugh moved there some time ago, and the State of New York audits him every year and makes him prove, many ways, that he has not earned a PENNY in New York in the last year. This author says “If you punish people for working and reward them for not working, soon fewer and fewer people will be working.” That’s what New York does, and Florida doesn’t. That’s why so many New Yorkers are moving out of that state. And instead of lowering their taxes, they “investigate” the people who move out, and founder around, trying to figure out why so many moneyed people are moving elsewhere—as if it were not obvious to anybody with any degree of intelligence.
