That’s what volunteer chaplains for the Charlotte, NC police department were told. What a STUPID policy; to not allow a chaplain to pray in the name of HIS deity. what makes them think they have that power? That’s a patent violation of the constitutional right to worship as we please. This police agency is risking losing ALL his Christian chaplains (which are the majority). It’s like telling Muslims they can’t pray to Allah, which is the first word out of their mouths any time they open them. Are they doing this to avoid “offending” Muslims? Who cares what Muslims think, anyway? They’re so easily “offended,” they get offended when you fart without saying “Allah” first. It’s like a basic tenet of Islam to be offended by ANYTHING someone of another religion says or does. I hope those chaplains tell their “bosses” to go to hell. It’s not like they will lose pay by doing so. And in any case, that doesn’t matter to the principle involved. SHAME on you, Charlotte PD! (
