The Chicago School district is the WORST in the nation while the teachers there are among the HIGHEST PAID. So now they’re on strike for more money (they rejected a $16% INCREASE) and NO ACCOUNTABILITY. One of the main things they’re striking to avoid is a system to show their incompetence if they are incompetent. They say such a thing would cost 6,000 teachers their jobs. How do they know that? Do they know of 6,000 incompetent teachers? In that case, those 6,000 incompetent teachers SHOULD be fired FOR their incompetence. Of course, as Rush Limbaugh says, this whole strike is a setup. One to allow Obama to “solve it” and have a winning issue for the election. It’s the “October surprise” in September. Update: They've "settled" the strike after Obama's crony, Mayor Emanuel went to court and showed them where their strike was illegal. They still got most of what they were after. (
