Former “brain-dead liberal: film maker David Mamet, who finally got smart and became a conservative, wrote an amazing article recently for Newsweek, stating most of the obvious conservative arguments better than any conservative I’ve ever seen. On gun control, he said, “We individuals are guaranteed by the Constitution the right to self-defense. This right is not the Government’s to “award” us. They have never been granted it.” He also debunked the usual anti-gun freak claim that owning a gun creates more danger for the owner than for anybody else.” He said if that were true we should arm all criminals and let them shoot each other and themselves and DISARM all cops so they won't. One thing he noted is that ALL the government’s “gun laws” laid all of us open to be assaulted by criminals with illegal guns and stated that a SIGN banning guns from a “gun-free zone” would do NOTHING to stop someone bent on breaking the law by doing a mass shooting.
