Spitzer a Hypocrite

I didn't think too much about New York Governor Spitzer getting into sex trouble, because that's what Democrats do. Sex trouble can be a "resume enhancement" for a Democrat. Bill Clinton even got impeached and lost his law license for five years because he couldn't keep it in his pants. But not for sex troubles, for LYING to Congress. Later he became a millionaire by selling his "memoirs" in a book. But that was miniscule compared to what he has made by charging princely sums to speak everywhere they'll listen to his lies. Now he never wastes an opportunity to tell us how rich he and his wife are. But Spitzer? He was patronizing one sex outfit while prosecuting another. I wonder if the one was patronizing was giving him not only sex, but also a kickback for not prosecuting them? If that isn't hypocrisy, I don't know what is. Then there's Republican Senator Larry Craig. He did nothing except sit in the wrong restroom stall next to an enthusiastic cop who moved his foot in what is described as a "suggestive way" that asked for gay sex, then waggled his fingers at him. Craig did nothing, but was arrested. He thought if he pleaded guilty and paid a small fine, it would "go away." But it didn't. Why? Because he's a REPUBLICAN, that's why. Spitzer may have had to resign as governor because the Republicans were threatening to impeach him, but I'd bet he's going to "land on his feet" with a bureaucratic appointment in the next Democrat administration. That's because there's NOTHING you can do to make yourself unhirable to the Democrats. Most of them have done everything, anyway. One Democrat representative was having sex with congressional pages throughout his career. He was "censured" by Congress, but reelected time after time, and "deified" when he died in office. Another allowed his gay boyfriend to start a brothel in his apartment. But they were both Democrats, so nothing important happened to them. The lesson here? Don't get in sex trouble if you're a Republican. If you're a Democrat, it's okay. (Yahoo News)

Gore to Rake in IPO Millions

AlGore, who has been unemployed since he left the vice-presidency, somehow found $70 million to buy a defunct television news service that is now "going public." He stands to make $50 million on that one transaction, without even considering how much he will make if the service ever gets on real cable. He has made millions on his speaking tours, where he charges big money to go around the world swindling the world about "global warming" while he lives in his big, energy-slurping" mansion (several, actually), drives around in his (wife's) fleet of gas-guzzling SUVs (the kind he tells us we shouldn't buy), flying to his expensive "lying tours" in his private jets (that spew more crap into the air than anything else I can think of). People don't think he's making money out of all this, but think about it: where is all the money he is SPENDING coming from?  Gore is one of the most successful (provable) con-men I've ever seen outside of other politicians I've seen. Pelosi Goes on Vacation

Rather than have the House vote on a measure that would increase our security (the one that allows us to "eavesdrop" on people talking to terrorists) they go on vacation while we are in danger. Then when she gets back, she tries to push through a bill that will stop us from using a mild form of "hard treatment" (I won't stoop to calling "waterboarding" torture, as Democrats and other liberals do), which failed. Now she's vowing to overturn Bush's veto of a bill that has saved many American lives by making murderous terrorists a little "uncomfortable" without actually hurting him. Meanwhile the same people she is so "concerned" about are beheading innocent people, just to make a point. If, and when, the terrorists come here, she'll probably be one of the first people to be beheaded. I don't know what the hell she thinks she's doing, but it seems like her every move puts us in more danger. She and all the other Democrats do everything they can to stymie our war effort. If someone had done the things she has done in WWII, they'd have been executed for treason. (News Max)

Armed Student Stops Mass Shooting: Liberal Press Ignores It

"BELLEVUE, WA – An armed student at Jerusalem’s Mercaz Haray seminary played a crucial role in stopping a gun-wielding terrorist Thursday, but the American press is downplaying his heroism because it proves that armed students can stop campus gunmen, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today. Yitzhak Dadon, 40, was described as 'a private citizen who had a gun license and was able to shoot the gunman with his pistol' by reporter Etgar Lefkovitz with the Jerusalem Post. However, many news agencies in the United States are downplaying Dadon’s decisive role in the incident." As usual, the press, even in Israel, still use "weasel words." I say they're IGNORING his "role" in stopping this planned mass shooting. You didn't hear much in the liberal press when a small woman stopped a similar shooting in a Colorado Springs church when a man started shooting it up by "putting a few in him.". The "anti-gun crazies" absolutely REFUSE to recognize such things and continue to insist that we make more "gun-control laws." Laws which do NOTHING to keep such incidents from happening because people crazy enough to concoct a "mass shooting" don't care about a somewhat limited law violation when they're contemplating mass murder and usually know they won't come out of it alive, anyway. I like the way they operate in Israel. I still remember a would-be bomber in Israel whose plans were scotched when an Israeli woman knocked him down and blew his head off while standing over him, before he could push is button. (CCRKBA)

What Makes Hillary Think She "Has Experience?"

She has said many times that she has "35 years of experience" and that makes her qualified to be president of the United States. I question that. She has had 35 years of what experience? The only "experience" she has had is as a cuckholded wife of a philandering president who did not know, himself, how to be president. He thought being president was just a good way to get into more women's pants than before, and Hillary went right along with it so she could travel along on his coattails. The only real "experience" she has had is as a corporate attorney and the "wife of a president." By that measure, Bush's wife is also qualified to be president. Where does she get that "35 years of experience" crap? So far, she has never explained how she has arrived at that number, as liberals never do. They just make claims and let us guess where their proof (if it exists) is. The fact is being somebody's wife does NOT qualify her to do his job. My wife has been married to me for almost 40 years, but she is not in any way qualified to be a sign painter or pictorial artist on billboards (which I was for 45 years), or a writer, which I am now. What she's good at is cooking, but being married to her does not qualify ME to be a cook. Frankly, anybody who eats anything I cook has to have a death wish. (National Review)

Pelosi & Co. A Disaster

The Democrats are traitors to their country, more interested in getting re-elected than they are in this country's safety. Everything the Democrats do today is geared toward re-election, and damn national security. "With great fanfare, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced her agenda for her first 100 hours last January. One of the seven things she promised to do was to enact all the remaining recommendations of the 9-11 Commission. One year later, with few of those items accomplished, Pelosi is gambling recklessly that terrorists will miss the opportunities given them by the House’s failure to pass essential fixes to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act." Instead, she and her cohorts went on vacation, "leaving the door open" for any terrorist who wants to kill Americans until they get back and, MAYBE close the doors (doubtful) after they're already inside, ready to kill Infidels (those who don't believe the way they do). What's with this woman? Does she think the terrorists will kill her last? I got news for her. Terrorists do not have any "gratitude" for those who help them. They'll put her on their "kill soon" list. (Human Events)

Prosperity and Safety

Democrats like to talk about "what we've gone through with the Bush administration," but they can't describe "what we've gone through" except in liberal (socialist) terms. What we've REALLY "gone through" is a period of great prosperity and safety. They criticize Bush for invading Iraq and Afghanistan, but they ignore the reasons why we did. The fact that we haven't had a single successful Islamic terrorist attack since 9/11 because of Bush's policies seems to be lost on them. Obama tells us it's "Bush's imagination" that al Qaida is in Iraq. He seems to think they weren't there before we invaded Iraq. But they were -- maybe not under that name -- Islamics change their names often, and usually have several, but they were there. Count on it. One of Obama's weaknesses, aside from being a socialist, is his blindness to the danger Islamic terrorists present. The Democrats all talk about rescinding the "tax breaks for the very rich," completely ignoring that those tax breaks were for EVERYBODY, including the rich (liberals, too).

Is Anybody Surprised?

Putin's "hand-picked" successor has been elected president. So what? Did anybody expect he wouldn't be elected? In Russia, even though "communism is dead," (riiight!) ALL elections are "fixed," and no one the "top dog" doesn't want to win is going to have any chance to do so. It is said he's already picked Putin to be prime minister.  The only way he's going to lose is if Putin wants him to. Actually, in this fast-moving world, he has already won, by a 70% vote! 70%! That reminds me of the second vote in Iraq, just before we "took Saddam down," that he won by 100%! What happened to the 10% who voted against him in the former election? I'd bet they're all dead or in prison, not able to vote. I'd guess it's the same in Russia, where communists don't "go away," they just change their names. (MSNBC)

When Are They Going to Learn?

It is a known fact that insanity involves doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. This is true of the "anti-gun crazies" who line up to make owning a gun for honest people harder with every mass shooting, completely ignoring the fact that those bent on mass murder don't obey gun laws.  John Stossel says, "How many public shootings will it take before we understand that murderers are undeterred by 'gun free' zones? The best deterrent is always a would-be victim who is trained in self-defense -- with a gun." This was proved in Colorado Springs, Colorado when a crazed gunman entered a CHURCH, the last place he would expect there to be a person with a gun, trained and ready to use it -- on HIM. A lady, ferGawdsakes, put several rounds into him and, realizing "all was lost," he killed himself, making the death toll a lot smaller than he had planned. More guns make for fewer victims. That is fact. If someone points a gun in your face and you have nothing to use to defend yourself, you're dead. Just because they have a gun doesn't mean the average person will "go crazy" at the slightest test and start shooting. Florida has proven that. Since they made it easier to carry a concealed weapon, the number of senseless killings with guns has NOT increased. In fact, the rate of successful shootings has gone down. Remember, no matter how hard it is for honest people to get guns, it is still easy for a criminal to get one, because honest people OBEY the law. It would surprise you if you knew just how many illegal guns are in the pockets of those with a "criminal bent." Those are the people who will shoot you for looking at them in a way they don't like. The only defense against such people is to have a gun in your own pocket with which to defend yourself if attacked. (Atlasphere)

Why Not Newt?

People (Mostly liberals and Democrats, but also many who pay no attention to politics) think Newt Gingrich is "nobody" any more. That's as liberals and Democrats want it because he was one of the most EFFECTIVE Speakers the House ever had. He AUTHORED the "Contract with America" that caused the Democrats to lose power for a decade. The only reason the Democrats are back in power today is because the Republicans let him down and the Democrats went out of their way to destroy him (BECAUSE he was so effective). He's still out there, working tirelessly for YOU. He should be our next president. I say that because he's SO effective. He's "discredited," you say? In what way? Can you document for me ONE way he has been ACCURATELY discredited? I thought not. Ron Paul is another effective Republican politician I'd vote for. But I don't think I'll have an opportunity in my lifetime. (New't's Contract With America for the 21st Century)

Race-Based Attendance Policy

That's what "affirmative action" is. There's no denying it. It is "giving preference" to blacks and Hispanics OVER whites. If saying that makes me a "racist," then so be it. I'd say the same about policies that gave WHITES advantages over blacks, Hispanics, and whatever other groups there are. What they've done is simply "flip-flopped" "race-favoritism" and made it "the law of the land". So they've been ordered by the court to "abandon" race-favoritism" in choosing where to send students in San Juan Capistrano, CA. Big deal. They'll find SOME way to "get around" it. And the rest of the country will continue to use RACE to decide where students are sent, and which ones have preference OVER others. (Pacific Legal Foundation)

Bloomberg Bipartisan? Gimme a Break!

"NEW YORK - Mayor Michael Bloomberg has squashed the notion of running for president this year, declaring that he will not seek the White House but might put his support behind another candidate who embraces bipartisan governing. Apparently ending a dance of presidential speculation that began more than two years ago, the 66-year-old billionaire businessman said in an op-ed piece in Thursday's New York Times that he will not launch his own bid but will work to "steer the national conversation away from partisanship and toward unity; away from ideology and toward common sense; away from sound bites and toward substance." Bloomberg is about as bipartisan" as was Saddam Hussein in his country. He's for himself, and the things HE cares about, which is mostly collectivist in nature. He calls himself a Republican, but he has "ruled" in New York as a socialist and a dictator. What he doesn't like, he bans, legal or not. Some people think I call everybody socialist. Actually, I look at what they do, and if it favors individuals, I'll say that. But if it favors collectivism (socialism), I'll say that, too. Bloomberg has hidden behind the "bipartisan" label for way too long. (Yahoo)

Conservative When Conservative Wasn't Cool

Truth be known, conservative still isn't cool for a lot of people, notably people who want the government to give them a "free ride" so they won't have to work for a living. But William F. Buckley was the prime mover in the literal creation of conservatism as a respectable philosophy for those who want to do it themselves, without government help, OR interference. His magazine, "The National Review," was for many years, the only journal for conservatives to read. When he started it, there was a certain "dearth" of writers who write from the conservative view because there was no place for their writings. Isn't it amazing how quickly conservative writers and readers responded when his magazine came out? Some people think Rush Limbaugh has "received the torch" passed by him when he died; they may be right, as witness how hated both Buckley and Rush are in certain centers. A good "litmus test" for conservatives is the amount of hatred there is for them in liberal circles. Rush and Bill topped that list. We will miss him. Keep the torch burning, Rush! (Breitbart)

No Reason to Endorse a Socialist

Conservative talk show host Bill Cunningham is pissed off at John McCain -- so he's going to support Hillary. Being mad at a Republican for "dissing" you isn't a good reason to support a blatant socialist. Supporting her might even get her elected to the highest office in the land, and what would a conservative do if that happened because he was mad at her opponent? I'm not big on McCain, myself. But there's NO WAY in hell I'd ever vote for that supercilious liberal socialist, Hillary Clinton if the only other choice was a groundhog. If Hillary gets elected president, we're going to move a lot quicker toward socialism than we will under McCain, even though he is more of a socialist than otherwise. It's a "blue day" in this country when the only choices are ALL socialists to one degree or another. (Hot Air)

You Won't Like Losing

Many of our politicians are "in denial" about whether or not we are "at war" with Islamic terrorism. That Barack Obama recently made a point to say al Qaida was NOT in Iraq before we invaded is not only false, him saying it is shameful. That "Code Pink" would openly advocate the "murder of American troops" is more than shameful. It is CRIMINAL. The fact that whether or not al Qaida was or was not in Iraq before we invaded is irrelevant doesn't seem to dawn on him, and he might become our next president. That scares me. He is of the opinion that George Bush made a big mistake in his handling of terrorism, but an essay written for a blog called "Grizzly Groundswell" brings things into focus. The last few lines are the most telling: "No, President Bush did not make a mistake in his handling of terrorism. He made the mistake of believing we still had the courage and fortitude of our fathers and grandfathers before them. He believed this was still the country our fathers and grandfathers fought so dearly to preserve. It is not the same country. It is now a cross between Sodom and Gomorrah and the Land of OZ. We DID unite–for a short time–after 911. Our attitude changed when we found out defending our country would require some sacrifices. We are in GREAT danger. The terrorists are fanatic Muslims. They believe it’s okay, even their DUTY, to kill ANYONE who will not convert to Islam. It has been estimated about one third–over 300 MILLION Muslims -- are sympathetic to the terrorist cause. Hitler and Tojo COMBINED did not have nearly that many potential recruits." If we lose this war with these sixteenth century warriors, it won't be because they're so good at war. It will be because our top politicians don't want to admit that we ARE at war; a war we MUST win, at all costs, and which we will NOT win if we continue to worry about how "roughly" we treat the Islamic terrorists we capture while they routinely behead people they capture, even those who are not even combatants. Read the article and be ashamed . . .of a large number of people in your country who want us to lose this war. But they, and you, won't like losing. (Grizzly Groundswell)
